Quick Man card
Today I wanted to share a super simple man card. It's smaller than a traditional card, so I guess that it is technically a note card which is perfect for a quick thank you or birthday card. All images used on this card are from DRS Designs. There are other masculine images too, so you can find just what you are looking for. Here is the cloud tutorial that I used to make the cloud background.

Dollar Find Friday (magnets) & Give Away!
My back isn't feeling any better, in fact I'm pretty sure it's worse. When I'm standing up "straight" I look like I'm leaning to the left lol. This has been happening a few times a year since I was 17. It's getting pretty old now... I'm only 25 for pete's sake!
Anyways, on to today's project. I got this idea from my wonderful SU demo last year. I "borrowed" one of the girls' flat magnets from the fridge for this. I'm horrible right? But you gotta do what you gotta do for crafts! ;)
Supplies-
Large flat marbles ($1 at Dollar Tree)
Flat magnet (strong enough to hold up the marble)
1 1/8 Circle punch
Designer paper
Step 1- Punch circle in designer paper
Step 2- I used a thin layer of Aileen's Tacky glue on the back of the marble to glue on the circle punch.
Step 3- Cut out a piece of magnet large enough to fit on the back of the marble.
Step 4- I used red Sticky tape to adhere the magnet to the back of the marble.
Finished product holding up a picture that Kylie (my 5 yr old) drew for her daddy yesterday all by herself.
These magnets are such a pretty way to decorate your fridge. Along with this project of course!
BONUS IDEAS-
*To give this card as a gift, just add a piece of magnet in between the layers of your card and stick the magnet to the front of your card!
*You can also stamp an image of your choice to make custom magnets.
**GIVE AWAY**
Leave a comment on this post and I will choose a winner tomorrow using a random number generator. That person will get the following items-
5 large flat marbles
5 pieces of magnet (with sticky tape attached)
11 circle punches
A thank you card from me for taking the time to check out my blog!

Please come back tomorrow for the Dollar Find Friday post. I have a fun little project as well as a give away that you won't want to miss :)

And the winner is...
When I saw the set One of a Kind in the SU catty I just had to have it. Of course like a lot of my "had to have" set, I have probably only inked it up once or twice. So I brought it out last night a made a couple of cards with it. I absolutely love my new nesties! It's amazing how they can really give a simple card the WOW factor.
Supplies: Stamps- One of a Kind. Paper- Real red, basic black, white. Ink- SU waterproof black. Accessories- copic markers, rectangle nesties.

This has been such an exciting week for me, I could burst! I have lots of great things to share with you.
First thing is- I MADE MY FIRST DESIGN TEAM!!!! I am now a proud member of the design team for DRS Designs. I love working with their designs and can't wait to share them with you in the upcoming weeks and months!
Second - I received the stamps from Verve Visual that I won from Julee's Mojo Monday sketch. I finally was able to play with them and have been having so much fun. I chose Floral whimsy and love all of the different elements that come in this set.
Third- I finally broke down and bought the full rectangle set of Nestabilities and they got here on Friday! I have been wanting some forever and finally took the plunge. I am so glad that I did!
Here is the set and beautiful card that I got on Thursday-

Dollar Find Friday (poly shrink)
Today's tutorial is technically a dollar find but is so much fun!
Step 1- Using your sandpaper, sand the poly shrink diagonally one way and then the other. You want to sand of all the "shine" so that your ink will fold on to the plastic better.
Step 2- Stamp your image onto the poly shrink
Step 3 (opt.)- Color image if desired
Step 4- Cut out image
Step 5- place your image in powder pal (I like to do this so I don't melt anything with my heat gun) and hold down with paper piercer (or some other tool)

Butterfly happiness
I made this card the other night and just love how it turned out! You can find the tutorial for my clouds HERE . All of the stamp images are by DRS Designs and are colored with Copic markers.
I had a lot of people suggest that I put glitter on this card from earlier in the week so I did that and re uploaded it. What do you think, did it help?

Stretching my comfort zone....
I am really trying to work out of my comfort zone so that I can grow as a stamper. I don't usually use bright colors in my designs but I wanted to experiment a little bit so I picked out the brightest colors of my image to use as my background colors. I love those colors together but I'm not sure if it works with this image or not, what do you think? The "table" that I used for my flowers is actually part of a window stamp by DRS designs. I love how well it worked!
Supplies: Stamps-DRS Designs window, Blooming with love, PTI limitless labels. Paper-Non SU blue, white, Real red, Summer sun, basic black. Ink- black stazon. Accessories- copic markers, brads, dimensionals, cuttlebug.

Wahoo!!
One of the first things I do in the morning is check my email and blog. I came across a couple of messages congratulating me on being one of the mojo winners. At first I thought it was one of those blog awards lol! Imagine my surprise when I went to visit Julee's blog Poetic Artistry to see that I was a winner of one of her gorgeous Verve Stamp sets!! I was so excited! I didn't even remember that she was giving anything away, I just love her monday mojo sketches. If you haven't seen them yet, you definitely need to check it out!
