Too soon!

I was folding laundry in Madi's room and turn around to see what she was so happy about. And there she is standing up! What the HECK! I am so not ready for this!! Here is a quick clip I took before I lowered her crib....again.

More?!!

This clip is cute and funny!

Change of Scenery

It's a little after 1am and I'm bored...but not sleepy. So I've decided to change the background on our blog. And since I'm posting something I might as well include some pictures of Madilyn. I can't believe she's already 8 months old! I used to think that people who talked about time flying by were weird. But now I totally get!! It really does fly!

Small update.

Here is a video clip of Madi clapping. The last 10 seconds or so are the best. Sorry I don't know how to video edit or you wouldn't have to watch the whole 30 some odd seconds! But really its not that bad!

Among other things Madi can:

Roll both ways ( she's been doing this for awhile now)

Army crawl (she can get around pretty well and is really close to the real thing)

Sit up

Can say mamamama, dadadadada and babababababa.

She has one tooth with another one trying to pop up.

She loves eating from her highchair, especially when she gets to feed herself.

She has great balance and can stand with assistance and loves to walk around, also with assistance (duh!)

She had a doctors appointment and as of today she weighs 14.1 pounds and is 25 inches long. She's in the 5th percentile for her age which is much better than her last appointment when she didn't even make the charts! Talk about a slow grower, but at least she's healthy!!

Yum!

Last week Madi discovered Biter Bisquits. She's been trying all sorts of foods out lately, but this is her favorite right now. It's especially nice for me because it keeps her entertained long enough for me to clean the kitchen and living room!
The only downside......she's still developing her hand-eye coordination!
And that makes a very messy baby!

5 Years!

I can't believe that Aaron and I celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary last Friday. The time has just zipped by. I've loved every minute of it! Aaron, you are an awesome husband and a great dad. I love you!

The last month or so.

Lets face it. I'm a horrible blogger! But, hey, I'm okay with that. I figured that I would do a quick picture update on the last month or so. We've done some camping, fishing, picnicking, boating, hiking, and even some hot-tubbing! It's been a very fun and busy last few weeks!

More cute smiles!
Check out Madi's cool shades!

Madi's not sure about the whole hot-tubbing thing. (Don't worry, the temp was nice and warm....not scalding hot!)

Sunset at Lake Powell. You can see the boat in the lower left corner. Aaron always takes the most beautiful pictures!

This weekend

Yesterday we met up with some friends and headed up Payson Canyon. We visited, made shiskabobs (not sure how to spell that), played Phase-10, laughed at the kids, and had an over all awesome time! Aaron won at cards though I'm pretty sure he cheated! He kept looking at my cards, but if you ask him he'll tell you I was showing them to him! It was great catching up with Lara and Justin. Their little girl, Ella, is really cute and it was fun watching her play with Madi's Bumbo chair. We really need to get together more often, it was great!

The shiskabobs, yummmm just looking at this picture makes me hungry!
Lara, Madi, and Ella. Madi kept picking on poor Ella! Ella handled it very well, she's going to make such a great big sister!
Madi half-heartedly smiling for the camera.

Family Pictures

We finally got family pictures taken. Here are a few of them. Enjoy!

Last Weekend

Last weekend we decided to take a drive and get out of the Salt Lake Valley. We headed up Immigration Canyon and looped around East Canyon Reservoir and into Morgan City. We stopped for lunch at Steph's Drive In. It's a little Ma and Pa burger joint that we totally recommend. I had a bacon swiss burger and Aaron had their signature Steph's Burger. Mmmmmm it was good!

After that we went to a park to stretch our legs and give Madi a break from her car seat. We took a short walk through the park and pushed Madi in a swing.

Then we got back in the car and took I84 into Ogden and then home.

Finally!

My friend Alicia and I try to get together once a month and have a girls day. Lately its been kinda hard getting our schedules to work out. We skipped June and if you get technical July. We finally followed through and got together today! We went to Subway and picked up lunch and then took Madi and Gavin to the park. Gavin is only three weeks older than Madi! I think (hope) that they are going to be great friends!

Madi and Gavin just chillin' on the blanket.
It was really hard to get them both to look at the camera!
This is Gavin. Isn't he cute?

Afterwords both babies just passed out. Life as a baby is so hard!
