Rock Climbing with Uncle Scott

For Christmas, Scott gave all the Winn boys gift certificates to go rock climbing and out to ice cream with him. When it was Rhett and Max's turn they were soooo excited. After rock climbing, Scott took the top off the jeep and went thru the drive- thru so they could have their ice creams handed right to them. Adorable.

Diamond Heist

Spring Break part 2--The boys wrote out the script and planned the whole movie.  They found props, costumes, locations...and they were so fun to film. Make a Movie, was on our list of "What to do on Spring Break".  And they were so fun with it!

spring break 2015 part 1

Isn't this picture so sweet?  Visiting George at work one day.  The kids love seeing his office and eating in the cafeteria for lunch.

We were thrilled to see the 2nd annual "CLAWFEST".  complete with invitations, weapons on display, parts for all those who wanted one, and general awesomeness and information on how to use all said weapons.  Very informative.

Saturday day at the Nature Park.

Gender Announcement Video! WOO HOO :)

Easter 2015

I showed up a little early for pick up at Rhett's pre-school the day they were celebrating Easter so I could get some pictures.  Rhett's teachers are just the sweetest and came out and gave little Max a bag so he could do the Easter Egg hunt with them.  So sweet.  He LOVED it.
Easter Sunday at the Winns this year!  They found this awesome Newt-ish thing while playing outside.  They always find such cool stuff while they're just poking around back there.

Poor Rhett got a fever while we were up playing.  So sad to watch your kids feel gross.

After school hike to the Waterfall

I didn't have anything planned for after school. The day was beautiful.  So instead of waiting for the kids to walk home from school I decided to go and pick them up and take them on a hike up the mountain.
Luke's "Heart Rock"
I love where we live.  Little Max did so good,
The big kids wanted to walk all the way home from the mountain, so I just sort of stayed close in the van.  At one spot they found the most amazing treasure ever....a red plastic wagon with 3 WHEELS.  They towed that thing all the way home, with big plans of using it to move around large pieces of lumber they would subsequently find and build themselves a fort....HA!  Three days later I was able to convince them that a wagon really does need 4 wheels so it will work.  I love how often fort building is on their minds.  Makes my heart smile.

Rhett The Ninja-#5

This Kid!  He's amazing.  He can do push-ups around ANYONE. He loves to do the most hilarious dance moves. He's got such a funny sense of humor (that's actually really really funny) that makes all of us laugh.  He sleeps soooo well. He goes to bed and stays there for the 2 seconds that it takes him to fall asleep.  I'll read to him at night and lots of times I look up to find this little one dead asleep. He plays so in the day that it's no wonder!  The other day he did 57 push-ups in a row. BEAUTIFUL formed push-ups.  He's a stud.  He loves the Magic School bus, school, and especially show-and-tell (some highlights from the last few Fridays: cowboy hat, hula-hoop, and hand-stands--the last two which he proudly demonstrated and was quite a hit with his classmates and teachers. :)

The loot!

Tough. Right?  Seriously that's so awesome.  He LOVES exercising.  He works out and climbs those monkey bars so well.

I'll find my phone loaded with so many pictures like this one.  HA! He's such a Winn. Love. It.

Max- Bubblegum Birthday Boy--Big #3

Get a load of this cutie!  He's so great!  At this point in his life he's obsessed with watching everyone as they leave.  Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, Scott, the boys, their friends...He'll be so sad if he didn't know someone was leaving and he missed watching them drive away down the street.  He'll sometimes (if it's really cold) wait and watch from the screen, but most commonly follow them down a little ways.  He loves it.

Here's the big haul :)  See that sucker on the top?! HA! It's my favorite. That's his present from Uncle Scott.  I was making fun of him for what an awesome gift it was when he realized he was still the best Uncle cause he was the only one to give Max a gift! "Oh Touche".  Ha! He's an awesome uncle and give these boys lots of his time, attention, and love He jokes and laughs with them and I just love it!  Best Uncle Present Ever!

Max LOVES underdogs at the park, he's an amazing eater-the only one who voluntarily eats tomatoes and vegetables. Enjoys pickles and hummus and salsa.  He's a champ.

AWESOME Picture. This jumping on the tramp shot is the perfect Big Foot Photo bomb :)!
ANDREA's so so so nice. She makes sure all her nieces and nephews feel so special on their birthdays!  She'll come down and take them out for some high quality one-on-one time. She's awesome  This year she took max to get ice cream.  Adorable.

Paper Airplane Contests and Jedi Dinners

One Sunday in March while trying to think of something good for the boys to do, we decided to have a paper airplane throwing contest! After many attempts with planes that would land on the roof, circle around and land on the shed, go straight down, or Scott flying it straight into the house, Dad's plane would always fly the farthest and the straightest.  I'm sure he would have some smart-aleky/sage-ish thing to say about that...but he won every time.

The boys wanted to have a themed dinner--so they picked Star Wars of Course. We gave the family plenty of warning (at least 3-4 minutes before it was served) to find costumes and it was a big success :).

California Job Interview

Jess had a job interview in California.  Jess' mom volunteered to watch the boys for the weekend (ahh--so so sweet) and offered her car.  Then some amazing friends volunteered their flyer miles that were going to expire and boom!  We had a great weekend!
Jess went to the office and was asked questions and shown around.  After a few hours (which i just relaxed and read Scarlet Pimpernel--so so so relaxing) Jess picked me up at the hotel and we met the group at an Italian restaurant.  I met David Ricks, his wife, daughter, and the other attorney at the firm, Erica.  It was a really nice evening.

The next morning we went to DISNEYLAND!  Woo woo :). I actually don't really care for rides and while I think it's a lovely place don't really care too much about it.  BUT, it was adorable to just go and play with this ,grown-up child at heart, man I love.  He was loving it so much!  It was nice to go in February and have no real big lines, and not to have to worry about 100 agenda’s.  We even got to meet up with B.J. and Melodie for lunch.  I got to hold baby Jane (for a second while Melodie had to go to the bathroom--that girl loves her mama) which was sooo nice, and then while Melodie had to go, B.J. got to stay with us for a little bit.  So so fun.

A few days later Jess got an email that the loved him and wanted him to join their team. :)

Kades Excellent Primary Talk, Two-Headed Martian, Sweet and Sour Grandparents and The Frogger

Kade decided to write his own primary talk.  This is what he finished with.  I am constantly impressed with the depth and understanding that boy has at just 11.

Planetarian with Andrea, Aubrey and the Andersons :)

These two.  Ha!  Mom is always looking for ways to help with the kids when I'm getting dinner ready. It's so so so sweet!

And Dad wrestles these kids (especially Rhett) all.  the.  time.

-->
This happens about every day. Rhett will attack grandpa in some way...this time it was with a dish rag, and dad will have no mercy and just give him such a fight. HA! It's hilarious to watch. He's a great grandpa. One day, after being gone for a long 2 weeks for work, he walked in the door, luggage in hand. Rhett ran upstairs and asked if dad wanted to come down and see their fort.
There was no hesitation, or "maybe later" that any normal person would have. He just said, "You bet I do" and went straight down.

Jess 'playing' magic with Max.

After performing "Do Your Ears Hang Low" in fast motion for us!

The Pass of All Passes was the greatest thing ever to buy!  We get to go to Trafalga/Seven Peaks Fun Center ALL the time now. The big boys LOVE the laser tag and there's rock climbing, mini-golf, rides (although we're positive they'll NEVER open the Mount Rushmore ride), playground and more.  These kids have been so well behaved and great. This was Max's first time on The Frogger- at type of lift them up and drop them down ride. He was 'concerned' in the beginning but really liked it.
