I thought that I would give a big shout out to my dad right now to let you all know how cool he is. My dad really loves to ride his bike. Four years ago at Christmas his present was going to be the chance to ride his bike from Idaho to Arizona and my mom would follow him. Well, right before he was going to leave for his trip he was diagnosed with cancer which required a year of chemo. The past year he has really been trying to get going on his bike again and building his strength. A couple weeks ago he announced to the family that he was going to try out his dream again of riding across the state. Well, he did it!!! He started in Franklin, Idaho Saturday and took Sunday off. He then started going again Monday morning and he made it to Arizona this afternoon. Isn't that cool!!! I personally feel really good about myself when I bike for 4 miles or so, way to make me look bad dad! We love you and are proud of you!

My Baby is Four!
Trey's birthday was yesterday. He is four, however he is in complete denial of the whole situation. He has told us over and over that he is still three because he hasn't grown yet. I really can't believe he is that old. I guess I am in denial as well. I am not ready for my baby to be four. He has grown up too fast. I like having little ones around.
Wasn't he a cute little stink!! When I think back to him being a baby it's kind of sad because I don't remember a lot of that time because I was so sick. I guess that is a good thing in some ways but, I feel like I lost out on a lot of Trey being a little baby because I was just trying to make each day until Jeremy got home from work. It seemed like that was my existence during that time. I had my hysterectomy when he was three months, right after this picture was taken. It's hard to think back to this time in life, but I always think back to it around Trey's birthday because I am so grateful for him. Trey is truly my miracle baby. When I had my hysterectomy my infection was so advanced that the doctor finally realized why I had been in preterm labor for so long before Trey was born, I had been infected throughout my pregnancy. I was told that Trey and I should have never made it through the delivery. He was also amazed I had made it through the surgery that I had had the week previously and that if I would not have had my hysterectomy I wouldn't have been around much longer myself. I guess without boring everyone with needless details, I am so grateful that I did make it through that trial and that I am here to raise my kids and I am so grateful that we have this little guy in our lives. Ok enough of the memories, back to yesterday.
Here is Trey with his birthday hat on that he got at preschool. He was pretty excited to celebrate his birthday at preschool.
Trey had a spiderman birthday. We made a fun invitation that I can't get to load. This was one of the pictures on the invitation.
We took pictures of his "captures" for his invitation as well. Here he is with "Renaissance girl" a.k.a Sadie.
And his second capture is "The Striped Bandit" a.k.a Paige. We had a lot of fun taking these pictures and creating their characters
Here is Trey with his spiderman birthday cake. He was really fun yesterday. He was actually a little overwhelmed by the whole situation but today he keeps telling me how happy he is with all his new toys. (look in the background you can see the literal fruits of Jeremy and I's labors, we have been canning. We got done yesterday, oh happy day!!!!)
