Ella is 8 months old!

The last month was busy for Ella. Finally her bottom right front tooth popped in and boy that sucker is sharp! There are still many more budding but not quite thru the surface yet. She also started eating solid fool at the beginning of May. Everything from brown rice, oats, sweet potatoes, avacado, peaches, mangos, bananas....etc - you name it. She is eating so much (maybe that is why the girth). Unfortunately she is getting more and more clingy to her mother...that happens around this age but she is really living that up right now. No one else seems to do right now for miss Ella. Still no official crawling, but she's getting the 4 legged stance down quite nicely. Ella also was busy this month moving bedrooms - she now shares with her big brother Owen! It has been going on like that for about 2 weeks and so far no problems. Owen scaled the side of the crib one morning and climbed in with her - but other than that - seems like those 2 are having a ball. (This was all done in preparation for our additional 7 house guests coming to live on May 31st). Ella loves to play with her big brothers..pulling their hair and trying to hit them. They love it too. So many big things happening during her 8th month of life. I know I say it every month but she is growing so quickly - it seemed that looking at these pictures this month made me realized just how much she is changing (especially the one below where she looks like she is 16)....oh I am not ready for that. Again - Ella we love you!

What is she 16 years old in this picture?

Just showing the overall "girth' of this lady. Baby girls bodies are sure different from baby boys. This girl has got a behind that just doesn't stop. And plenty of thighs to go along with it. So cute.

Baseball season is in full swing for Payton

It's Payton's first try at baseball this year....and he is doing great. He is the only kid on the team who does not need to use the T! He can hit it from coach pitch just about every time. And he says hitting is his favorite part of the game. He is so serious and is a great asset to the Centerville A's team! The games are riveting at this point as you can imagine and we are only about half done so far. We love it. He really does show some skill in this and many other sports. Keep up the good work Pay!

Owen is using the potty!

Owen is starting to use the POTTY - by himself - no bribes, no candy, no potty parties! We couldn’t be more proud. He started with the wanting to be changed immediately after pooping in his diaper. Now he can stay dry ALL day in his 3rd generation Lightning McQueen undies (it's hard being the 3rd boy down the line when it comes to clothes). Of course we are still practicing….so when we are on a walk or hike we have to occasionally pee on the bushes or sidewalk (that looks cool). Naturally, you would think that if he is just in the garage helping dad and has to go pee....that he should just drop his drawers and pee right on the cement on the garage floor! It’s not like he has never peed on pavement before (of course those were away from home emergencies!). What is better is when your FIVE year old son thinks he should drop his pants in the garage too and then proceed to pee On TOP OF his younger brothers pee! Boys will be boys and we have a house full of them!

Way to go on your new potty adventures Owen! You are doing such a great job. Hopefully this lasts. But he has been doing it for 3 weeks now and it seems to be getting better and better - even when we are away from home. Keep your fingers crossed...because after we spent $100 + in diapers last week again....it would really be nice to NOT have that expense anymore.
