Summer Coffee Lovers Bloghop Take 2

Sneaking one more in for the Summer Coffee Lovers Hop! I had high hopes of making more, but packing my house has trumped creative time- boo!

I was SO lucky to be the winner of the AMAZING Unity prize during the spring hop, so I HAD to put an image to work! These images are truly beautiful! This is colored with zigs & cut with a Gina Marie die. The pp is old echo park.
Hoping to find some time to check out the wonderful coffee creations this weekend!
Thanks to Amy & the Coffee Loving Cardmaker Crew for keeping us inspired (and caffeinated!)

Where Creativity Meets C9 Challenge 10

Playing along with Where Creativity Meets C9; Challenge 10- Layered!
Here's my take:

I've put my Mother's Day gift to work on this one! The Happy Words stamps & Happy Card Frame set are really fun! I've used the frame with vellum & machine stitched it in place after using my zigs to stamp & then waterbrush the color out. A few seqins finish it off.
I must say that Concord & 9th has rocketed to the top of my favorites list- and their customer service is amazing! Makes this challenge a new favorite too!

Always so much fun (and dangerous for the wallet!) to see all the coffee inspired fun!
Thank you to Amy & the Coffee Crew for all of the work that goes into these hops!
Here's my first entry:

I've put Altenew's Coffee Love stamps to work- using The Heart Desires Challenge #13 inspiration & my trustee zigs! A Gina Marie Die Scallop Stitched Frame highlights the image.

MFT Camp Create: Bonfire Badge & Day 5

I'm so excited that I was able to participate in the entire camp!
First up is the Bonfire Badge earned by using dry embossing:

Those are rolled roses that I've used to dry emboss!
I'm normally a bit terrified of purple, but I recently purchased the Distress Oxide in in Wilted Violet to try to overcome!
The Adorable elephant is colored with Zigs, fussy cut & only adhered in the center to allow his ears to pop up a bit. The flowers are stamped on the dry embossed panel.

Last of all is the Glitzy Glitter Challenge- I was surprised this was a challenge for me- I normally really like glitter! I admit to struggling with this & not being in love with the outcome- the patterned paper is fussier than is my normal style. The glitter was achieved with stickles covering the balloon.
I used DI ink & zigs to color the sweet PI image. I always love this cutie!

This has been such a fun excuse to take a break from packing up our house!
Tomorrow is my girl's last day of school & I'm hoping we can find time to play a bit more in the craft room before it's time to pack it up!

The Heart Desires Mid-Challenge Inspiration #13

A reminder of the fabulous board:

Here's my take:

I've put the Concord & 9th Sweet & Cool set to work wit the inspiration colors on Bristol paper. The sentiment is stamped in Versafine Onyx Black. A few ink spatters & sequins finish this CAS treat off!
This is such a fun set- super versatile- I was excited to put it to use for the challenge!
Hope to see how you've been inspired! Still lots of time to play :)

Camp Create: Day 3 & 4

Two more creations to share for Camp Create at MFT!

Those Adorable Elephants make me smile every time I see them!
I've colored the elephant with zigs & the butterflies with prisma pencils.
The fun paper is from Stampin Up- Thanks Danielle!

This my very first try at a slider/magic color card! Toni & Lenae make amazing ones all the time so I thought I'd give it a try! Now I know why people like to make them- so fun!!

I've put I Knead You stamps to work!
The kitty is colored with zigs & the background is Distress Oxide- Broken China & Cracked Pistachio. I am LOVING them!!
Paper is ancient MME pad- glad I still like it!

One more for a better view of the stars!

Hope to finish up the rest of the camp today! :D

MFT Camp Create 2017: Day 1 & 2

I am playing along with MFT's Camp Create! It is so fun to see all the inspiration packed into the week- much more fun to play along instead of packing my house up to move- so a little procraftination it is! :D
The first day is all about Wonderful Watercolors- here's my take:

I loved the background created in the video & thought it would be fun to give it a try- I love how it turned out! This is my first galaxy & I can certainly understand why people enjoy making them so much :) The cutie dragon (thanks Karen!) is colored with zigs & is finished with some stickles!

Day 2 was Remarkable Resist- Here's my take:

I used the Colors from Color Challenge #71 for this one- a bit of double duty!
Some watercolor over the resist & zigs to color the kitty!

Hoping to get all the challenges done!!! They are making it easy to keep putting off more packing!!

The Heart Desires Challenge #13

We are back with another fabulous challenge at The Heart Desires!

So many ways to be inspired!
Here's my take:

I have to admit, when I found out The Heart Desires was going to be carrying the Flora & Fauna line, I may have squealed! I adore all of the images!
I've used the Flora & Fauna Birthday Set for this card- who could resist that image?
I've used the inspiration for my color choices- zigs with my watercolor detail brush20 & a couple of prismacolor pencils for the red flowers. The image is stamped on Bristol paper with versafine onyx ink (my go-to for zig colroing) but I've used a layer of DCWV paper cut with my Gina Marie Scalloped Circle Frame Die- using the frame as an inlaid piece.
A few sequins & twine finish it off!
I hope you'll find time to play along with us this month!

MFT Color Challenge #70

Playing along with MFT's Color Challenge & those sweet adorable elephants!

I used a spellbinder die to create the frame (popping up the scallops) and a LRDS die to create the bottom, but wasn't able to finish in time for the sketch challenge!
The elephant is colored with zigs on bristol paper.

The Heart Desires Mid-Challenge Inspiration #12

I'm back with some mid-challenge inspiration for The Heart Desires! Hard to believe it's the middle of May!!
Here's what I came up with:

This Concord & 9th set is one not to be missed! I've used the Happy Words stamps with the Happy Card Frame die set- and I was smitten with the results!
I used the bottom left image as my inspiration on this one- but all the images and colors are so lovely! I hope you'll join us!

ETA: I had good intentions of adding this to the current Where Creativity Meets C9 challenge too- it's all about florals! Better late than never!

The Heart Desires Challenge #12

So hard to believe it's time for another challenge! Here is your beautiful inspiration for Challenge #12:

Here's what I've come up with:

I've used Altenew Beautiful Lady; after heat embossing in white, I colored with Zigs. Some ink spatter on the base layer, and roughing up of the focal panel was finished off with a sentiment (tying in the challenge colors). There is also some wink of stella on the blooms, but it doesn't show in the photograph at all!
I can't wait to see how you are inspired by this beautiful challenge!

The Heart Desires Mid-Challenge Inspiration #11

I'm back with some mid-challenge inspiration for The Heart Desires!

This card is smaller than I usually create- 3.5"x 4.5"- but the scale seemed perfect for the adorable Lawn Fawn Stinkin' Cute image! I stamped the little cutie in Versafine Onyx Black on Bristol paper & colored with zigs & my zig Watercolor Detail Brush20
I stamped 2 of the flowers with gray ink & used them in the back- the front flowers are popped up with dimensional adhesive. The flowers were also colored with zigs & a little clear Wink of Stella gives them a bit of shimmer.
The sentiment is Avery Elle- I LOVE the font!
The flowered panel is old fabric paper & it seemed perfect for this challenge!
Speaking of the challenge- LOTS of time left to play & so many sweet ways to be inspired!
I hope you'll join us!

The Heart Desires Challenge #11

So hard to believe April is already here! With it comes a new The Heart Desires Challenge!!
Look at this fabulous inspiration:

Here's what I came up with:

I found patterned paper that had most of the colors in it to use as my base (Old Echo Park, I believe).
I cut a focal panel with Gina Marie Scalloped Stitched Nested Rectangle dies & stamped the CUTEST image from Cottontail Cuties! Actually, all the images are so darling!
I colored her up with my zigs & zig watercolor detail brush20.
I masked off the frame & then sponged in the sky around her. A little sentiment flag is heat embossed in white with dimensional adhesive it to keep the middle popped up. A bit of silk to finish it off!
I can't wait to see how you're inspired- hope you can join us at The Heart Desires!

Spring Coffee Lovers Bloghop- Take 3!

One last card for the Spring Coffee Lovers bloghop while the birthday cake cools!
Love that there are over 1000 entries already!!

Using that fabulous Latte Love set again from Lil Inkers. Colored it with zigs.
A vellum layer cut with Gina Marie die doesn't completely obscure the fun heart paper but allows for a black heat embossed sentiment to be clearly visible.
The card base is dry embossed, inked with versamark & perfect pearls dusted on top.
A few sequins & burlap string finish it off!
A huge thank you to the fab Coffee loving card makers crew, and all the super sponsors!
Thanks so much for stopping by-
Happy hopping & coffee/tea/cocoa drinking!

Spring Coffee Lover's Hop Take 2

Sneaking in another card for the Spring Coffee Lover's Bloghop!

I've used more Lil' Inker goodies today- Love this die set! The panel is cut with a Gina Marie die, and nested back into the back side of the paper. I stamped flowers from Altenew's Wildflower set onto the sleeve (colored with prisma pencils) and onto the solid panel then dusted with perfect pearls.
Very springy indeed!
I'm in awe of the number of fabulous coffee projects!!

Spring 2017 Coffee Lovers Bloghop

It's time!! The spring coffee lovers bloghop is here!
These hops are so much fun- cool to see all the inspiration! I know it's a ton of work, so a huge thanks to ~amy~ and crew!

I'm hoping to get more done, but my daughter's birthday is this week, we've been helping my parents move, and we are getting ready to move too.... I am so tired, coffee isn't even enough these days!!

I can't even tell you how lucky I felt to have won the Lil' Inkers Latte Love stamps & dies during the last hop- I remember seeing them & thinking they were perfect!! They are a super sponsor, so be sure to check them out!

I think the paper is authentique. The mug is stamped on bristol paper & colored with zigs. The sentiment is heat embossed, a bit of burlap string & some acrylic paint spatters finish it off.
I know I'm late to the party- and I also know I've got no delusions of catching up to Erin's number of entries- but hopefully I will be back!
Happy Hopping!

The Heart Desires Mid-challenge #10

I'm back with some mid-challenge inspiration for you for the beautiful THD Challenge #10!
Take a look:

So many beautiful choices to inspire you!
Here's what I came up with:

I've die cut a piece of vellum with Gina Marie Scalloped Stitched rectangle dies, then heat embossed the Neat & Tangled Hope Anchors stamp in gold. A few sequins from the Neat & Tangled Peacock mix add some interest. If you haven't seen this mix- it is YUMMY! So many fabulous colors and each color in several sizes!!

The vellum panel is machine stitched to the hexagon patterned paper (old basicgrey).
Still LOTS of time to play along- looking forward to seeing how you're inspired!

MIM #276: Kraft & Colored Pencil

Melissa shared a lovely MIM this week- she is always so inspiring!
I pulled out some older goodies & my prisma pencils & this is what I came up with:

Botanical blocks, BB: text & Through the Trees are the stamps used here. I also lightly embossed the card base with the guidelines embossing plate. PP from my stash & MS border punch.
Sorry for the poor pic- quite late here & I didn't pull out the lightbox!
Happy March & thanks for stopping by!
