MFTWSC4

How's that for a title? :D
I loved this sketch & had great intentions of playing all week- and here it is in the final moments!
And since I'm a newbie at SCS, I'll still miss the cutoff... Owell!
Put my Pure Innocence image to work. Hadley had used this one, but sadly, I hadn't!
I've got a friend with a milestone birthday that loves gardening as much as I do- thought this would be great for her! And do you spy new spellbinders? Pretty doily-something- from my parents for Christmas!
Gorgeous May Arts ribbon- doesn't it look great with the PTI ocean tides cardstock? And LOOK AT ME! I actually cut into that Cosmo paper!!!
There's a reason I never show the inside of my cards- there's not usually anything to show! I did finish this one off!

Thanks for stopping by! I'd love to hear what you think!

Color Inspiration for Card Makers: The Metallic Challenge

One more entry for the Color Inspiration Week of Challenges at Moxie Fab World! This one is the metallics:
Let me start by telling you how hard it is to get shimmer to show up in photos. At least it was for me! I tried light tent & natural light- here'a a bunch of pics & hopefully you can see it a little....

I used a Cricut cartridge (straight from the nest) to cut this filagree pattern, then glimmer misted over it onto shimmer white paper. Since the pink is shimmery too, the whole card has that look. The pink is lighter in person too. hmph.

The ribbon is May Arts Sheer/wrinkled edge- and it has a shimmer to it too.

I used a fiskars border punch along the bottom. I think this card would be lovely for lots of occasions, so I left the sentiment off...

Could you see the shimmer at all? ugh.
Head over to Moxie Fab world to see the other pretty metallic entries!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I'd love to hear what you think!

Color Inspiration for Card Makers Week: The Neutrals Challenge

The Color Inspiration Week at Moxie Fab has so many wonderful combos to work with- here's the Neutrals Challenge:

And here's my take:

PTI vintage cream, fine linen cardstock, text stamps, vintage cream, chamomile inks. Graphic 45 Once upon a springtime pp & focal panel/die cut.
It's hard to see the vintage cream text stamped on the fine linen panel in the pic.... I only inked up little bits of the text with the tea ink & randomly stamped them on top of the cream.
May Arts crochet ribbon & wrinkled ribbon

The pearls are from my stash. Isn't that image lovely?
Head over to Moxie Fab to see all the great entries!
Thanks so much for stopping by- I'd love to hear what you think!

PDCC #66

This week's Play Date Cafe Challenge is a splash of color:

Here's my entry- there's a tiny splash!

It's in the sentiment- I know- tiny.... I've used PTI through the trees for the focal panel, and sentiment. Practicing Creativity's carved love (which I WON! Thanks, Courtney!!) for the background. The focal panel is heat embossed on smokey shadow cardstock. The ribbon is May Arts 1" sheer in pewter- so pretty!

Thanks so much for stopping by- I'd love to hear what you think!! :)

January 2011 PTI hop with Wee Moxie!

This month's hop was about using a set that hasn't been used, or one that's been not used enough! I pulled out my banner set, the music background & enjoy the ride- here's the result:

I stamped on vintage bookprint & machine sewed the banners on.
I also machine sewed that big bow (which is May Arts wrinkled ribbon- LOVE!)
Since I stayed with the pinks- I'm also linking this up to the Moxie monochromatic challenge! AND the Wee Memories challenge is anything goes- so here goes!
Thanks so much for stopping by- I'd love to hear what you think! Have fun hopping!

hospitality...

Hadley's school's PTA does some hospitality things for the teachers- little notes for holidays, etc. One of the other mom's was asked to do something for Valentine's Day & I volunteered to help her. I found this on the PTI blog & thought it would be cute:

110 stamped filters later, we added kisses & tied them up with May Arts burlap twine & a heart cut with my cricut.

Simple & cute!

Hadley's creations

Cory calls her a mini-me. She does love to craft! She came up with this on her own. She free-hand cut the heart (because pens didn't work on that glitter paper).

I did give her a little help with the banner (the idea/cutting folding- but she did the writing), since pens don't work on the glitter paper....

the concept is hers though. I did help with the execution, since that paper is THICK! We ended up needing to hot glue all the parts together. And she's not checked out on the glue gun. Yet.

And because this is not unusual, but does crack me up:

This is how she made her bed that day. Friends all lined up. She cracks me up.
Don't forget to head over to May Arts for a chance at the blue can of ribbon scraps AND jenni bowlin buttons!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by- have a great day!

Wee-Bella-OTWC!

I've been a bit out of the challenges lately- so many gorgeous ones that I just didn't have enough hours in the day for!!!
So here's this weeks OTWC:

Fun, right?
And Wee Memories' challenge is using ribbon:

You KNOW I'm all over that! :)
And I'm also participating in my first Bellarific challenge- this week was 'anything goes'- I can do that!!!
So here's my take:

Sorry the pics were a challenge...
That's a Bella image (isn't she adorable?) that I've colored with prismacolor pencils. PTI cardstock, May Arts ribbon (of course!). I also used a black glaze pen on her shoes & headband, but it doesn't show in the pics....
And speaking of May Arts- the ribbon scraps in the blue can are up for grabs (not the can)- so head over & comment!!

Birthday Plane

Hi all! Hope everyone's having (had!) a great weekend! I spent the weekend doing some much needed cleaning (blah!), but realized I hadn't shared this card!

Cardstock & stamps PTI, not sure on the pp. Burlap string is May Arts (of course!), ek success border punch. I also cut an extra strip of the pp & used my edge distresser on top & bottom.
I inked the image up with versamagic ink (ocean depth, I think) and then added some shading/highlights with prismacolor pencils. Tough to see, but I also added glossy accents to the windsheild.
That's it for now- thanks so much for stopping by! I'd love to know what you think!

Quick post tonight... :) Here's a pic of a Christmas gift I made this year. Tim Holtz tag that I glittered up on a May Arts satin cord necklace. That flower pin is one I'm still making more of! The tutorial is on Jones Design Company's blog- SO much inspiration there!
Speaking of May Arts head over & tell them if you've got a favorite Entenmann's treat for a chance at some ribbon! You've got a day or so- winner will be announced Jan 9th!
