Hi Cat
This video is for Uncle Josh & Aunt Amanda. Their cat has been staying with us temporarily since May. Benny loves the cat and the cat plays little mind games with him. She keeps her distance, but always has to be near Benny while he plays. We love the cat and all her curiousness too.
Josh-I'll get better footage later. This is what I have for now.

Feed The Birds, Toppins A Bag......
Aaron & Benny feeding the bird colony at Town Lake Park in McKinney. Notice how Benny feeds the birds. Very funny.
At the end of this video, Aaron thought I said I had duck porn. I actually said I had duck corn (that's what I was feeding them). That's why we laughed and said "Ducks Gone Wild". I know, we're lame. Forgive us. We don't get out much.
Blurry Babe
We ate at The Londoner Pub in Downtown McKinney on Friday. Benny was loving the booth dividers. How would you like eating your food with this boy watching through the window? Luckily no one sat near us.

My Husband: Rocky
For Aaron's birthday, he wanted boxing lessons. He started this month at Barney & Me Boxing in McKinney. Let's just say his body was so pushed to the max on the first day, that he had blood in his urine. Fun, exciting, I know. Now his body is back to normal and getting used to the abuse. It's more of an intense workout with boxing at the end of each session. Last night he decided to spare with the co-owner. He's an ex-Marine who still has a crew cut and lots of muscles to go with it. Aaron came home with a couple marks on his face. Aaron also leaves Sunday to New York to do a photo shoot. How smart will these bruises look when he shows up for the shoot. Oh well, a little make-up is all he needs. I told him to be careful at the gym since we don't have health insurance or savings to fix a broken nose.
Great Scott Marty!!!!!

Enjoying our loot
A beautiful creation from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory
This was VERY difficult to take two bites, stop and take a picture. Don't worry, I put it out of it's misery.
Tuesday night, us bloggers got together again to do what we do best: eat & chat. We each brought "Our favorite things, $10 and under". We took a number and grabbed a bag of goodies. This was a fun twist to our "BUP" (Bloggers Unite Party). I brought Conair's new jelly headband, 2 bags of gourmet popcorn from MOM & POPcorn Co., and JLR's CD. As you can see from the pictures, Katie got my gift. She didn't waste time crackin' into that bag of popcorn with her new headband in place. Melissa was SO nice to host this party and I was SO lucky to get her bag. A yummy chocolate caramel apple and C.O. Bigelow's Mentha Lip Shine from Bath & Body Works. Good times everyone! Thanks again Melissa and I hope to see everyone at the next one! Especially those who couldn't be there this time!

Videos For Granddad
The chapstick wanderer. He loves chapstick.
P.S. 3 Days before fracturing his leg.....sniff, sniff :(
Benny, "reading" a vintage Care Bears book. That kid LOVES books!
P.S. Not even 24 hours after fracturing his leg. Notice he has a wrap on his right ankle? That was before we learned it wasn't a sprained ankle, but a leg fracture....FUN! So sad....sniff, sniff!

Monday, Monday........
The Balloon Keeper
Ouchy red cast burn
I noticed a burn forming behind Benny's leg from his cast rubbing it. He was pretty uncomfortable this whole weekend until the doctor's office was open on Monday. They gave us some felt-like tape to wrap inside & outside the cast. The pics above were taken pre-felt tape. The redness has gone down a lot and now Benny's doing great. He has totally adjusted to the new change. The only struggle is sleeping. His leg is so heavy, it's hard for him to switch positions or get comfortable. Other than that, he's doing great. Also, we went to the pediatrician today (Tuesday) for a follow-up to his ear infections. No more ear infections! Yea! He does have a little congestion, but the doctor gave us some syrup for that. So far, so good. Now we just need the cast off and we'll be happy campers.

WOW!
That's all I can say after today's new discoveries. Benny had his first appointment with a Pediatric Orthopedic Doctor. I almost cancelled the appt. thinking that Benny was getting better since his "sprained ankle" incident on Sunday. Glad we didn't, because it turns out our poor little guy has a hairline fracture in his LEG! And to think we've been wrapping up and icing his ANKLE since Sunday! He'll be in a cast for the next 29 days. All I could do was laugh when the doctor told us all this. The kind of laugh you do when you can't cry? Good times. No more baths, swimming, splash pads, walking normal, crawling normal and climbing up onto everything (that may be a benefit for me!). The cast is up to his diaper almost. Not fun. Benny's been such a trooper though and already ignores the fact it's on him (mostly). He's practically running with it on....such a boy! Any tips on things we can do people? Help a mother out!
FYI: We went to the Children's Medical Center in Plano (The Legacy Ambulatory Care Pavilion). I can't describe in words how amazing this hospital is. I HIGHLY recommend this hospital to anyone who lives in the area. Everyone we passed in the halls, the receptionists, the doctors, random visitors, were all super nice and you could tell these people really love their jobs. Just thought I'd pass that on. We saw Dr. Christine Ho in Pediatric Orthopedics. We were in & out in an hour. Wonderful experience.
Warning: Really pissed off child expressing his feelings about new cast
3 Hours later: Not so bad. Making lemonade out of lemons.

Ittibitz vs. Dippin' Dots
Hurry, take the picture! They're melting fast!
He insisted on forgoing the spoon. He later asked for the spoon. Not as easy as it looks I guess.
Eat quickly, they melt fast!
I had cotton candy fever while breezing down the ice cream aisle at WalMart. My eye caught these imitations and I had to try them out. Ittibitz look very similar, but only .98 cents compared to pricey Dippin' Dots. Verdict: Fun for kids.....that's about it. The taste was very bland. Not as exciting and tasty as Dippin' Dots. Your kids will love them though. A cheap alternative.
The ER: In & Out In 2 Hours
Loving the fishtank. We waited for about 3 minutes in the waiting area. We were the only ones there. Hooray!
Comfort food
Ba-ba & Silky, make life better.
Waiting to check-out. All tuckered out while dada watches TV.
We went to feed the geese & ducks at Town Lake park Sunday evening around 7pm. We stopped at the playground to swing and slide. Benny was having such a great time. I told Aaron one last time on the slide. He decided to go with Benny. On the way to the bottom, Benny's shoe got caught under Aaron's leg and pulled his ankle. He started crying immediately and so we examined his leg and foot. Everything looked ok, but he wouldn't walk on it. We went home, he still wouldn't walk on it, so off we went to the ER at Medical Center of Mckinney.
It was pretty slow and quiet from what we could see. Everyone was so nice and Benny ate up all the attention. Nurses were making balloons out of latex gloves, giving high fives and coming by to see him just because he was so little. The worse was taking X-Rays. Benny HATED it! You would've thought we were sacrificing him, the way he was crying. Poor guy! He ended up with a sprained foot. They wrapped his foot up, gave him a good dose of Motrin and off we went. We have a follow-up appointment with a pediatric orthopedic on Friday just to make sure everything is healing properly. He just started walking on it today without crying, but we're trying to keep him off it. That was our fun experience. Aren't we bad parents? Well, at least Aaron is....kidding!
Posey Lane, We love you!
Purple fuzzy chair $65
We love this store. It's in Historic Downtown Mckinney next to our other favorite store: MOM And POPcorn Company. It can't get any better than that right? The owner, Kerrie Barton, is so nice and she even plays JLR's CD in her store. We're too poor to really do major business with her (invitations, stationary, etc.), but we did leave the other day with a copy of The Dangerous Book for Boys. Stop by and have a look around.
