We're going to try this again!

Yes, big news for us again.

I hope that just because we're talking about this now, that nothing bad will happen. Lets cross our fingers, right!

I had an ultrasound done today. I'm not as far along as my dr. thought I was. (I'm not surprised by this. I honestly didn't think I was that far along.) But as of today I am officially 10 weeks. So two weeks behind. Oh well. I'm just happy to be trying this again! New due date, June 3rd.

My dr. has been so awesome. He gave me an order for an ultrasound last time I was in. That made me super happy! So today was a "lets just check things out and see where we're at" kind of appointment. So far so good.

I have been feeling EXTREMELY relieved all day. I have been so stressed out since last time. Even though there is always a chance that something will happen later, I still feel TONS better.

I think Ava is much more excited this time for a sibling. We'll ask her if she wants a baby brother or a baby sister. She says "A baby brother AND a baby sister." Oh boy... I'm glad that she doesn't seem opposed to a brother though!!!

My Little Artist

This morning I woke up to Ava saying to me "Mommy. I need to wash my hands." I'm thinking "Why in the world do you need to wash your hands. You just woke up." So I tell her to give me a minute. Well she goes into the bathroom and brings me the cottonelle wipes I keep in there. Ok. So I wipe her hands off and she climbs in bed with me and plays with her puzzles.

When I finally really wake up I see her arm…

Yep. What a creative little girl. I guess I won't be leaving markers in her room anymore!

I also find it all over her legs. The right one worse than the left.

But that face and crazy hair is still so dang cute. Mommy couldn't help but laugh a little. And fortunately she didn't color on anything else. Just herself and the coloring pages the markers were meant for!

So later this afternoon we decided to finally do our pumpkins. We did do pumpkins at Grandma Kathy's last week while Marissa and the kids were here. But we need pumpkins at our house too!

She was really excited to do pumpkins again. She actually stuck her hand inside the pumpkin to scoop out some seeds.

It took me a couple of hours to do both of our pumpkins. I think Ava got kind of bored after a while. Though she did enjoy playing with all the cool little tools. I love her face. She didn't want to smile. Can you tell? Pretty sure that is a classic Ava face.

Finally a smile. It took more effort than I would have liked to get it!!!

Ava's pumpkin and Mommy's pumpkin.
Yes that is a mustache.

Our House

I'm a little slow getting these pictures up!
A couple of weeks ago we were able to meet out at our site and start working on stuff for our house!! Yay! We met with our contractor, Jamon, and went over a bunch of stuff. Mostly about what is going to happen. We split into groups and part of us made signs for our house (so people will know where to bring supplies and such) and the others started on the electrical panels with dad. I'm glad he gets to do this with us!

I opted for the sign making. Besides my handwriting is better than Ryan's!!!

Part of our sign making group!

Here I am! We are also in the same group as Garrett's sister, Adrienne, (on the left) and her husband Justin. We are SO glad we're in the same group!!!

P.S. I took some of these pictures from Adrienne's blog! Thanks Adrienne for taking such great pictures!

Are we excited? I think so!

I think this is just about everyone. We also made these boards for our electrical panels to hang on. I even used a drill! I was so proud of myself!! I prefer to leave that stuff up to Ryan, but I'm not going to be able to get away with that here!

Here is our finished sign! And our cute little Ava of course!

We also learned that night that they would start digging holes for foundations that same week. They started with three holes to prevent water damage and fun stuff like that. We just happened to be on the side of the street that they started on.

Here is our hole!!

And here it is again. We are so excited to be able to be in this program! We can't wait to really get started and build ourselves a house!

Happy Birthday Ava!!!

On Wednesday we celebrated Ava's 3rd birthday!
I can't believe my baby is three years old.

I wanted this video to be last but this is what I got so I guess I'll take it! It is cute no matter where it is on my blog!

After Ava went to bed on Tuesday, Ryan and I hung up some streamers and balloons for her. I put a balloon by her door so she would see it when she woke up. When she came out I heard "A balloon! Thank you mommy!" So sweet!

Some of the balloons! She had fun with them all day!

Princess streamers

She loved the streamers! We had them up for two days!

We had to wait for Ryan to come home from work before we did presents. We took her to Cafe Rio for dinner then did presents before Ryan had to do scouts!

Princess Popstar Barbie. She sings songs.
(And that book you can see. Perfect church book!)

And one of her favorite presents. Merida and Angus from Brave. She now sleeps with Angus and she would sleep with Merida too if we'd let her!!!

After scouts we had cake. As you can see I'm not very good at decorating cakes. Or making awesome cakes.

Mommy and Ava.

We can't believe your three! We love you baby girl!!!

Catching Up

I've got a lot of catching up to do. This time we really actually were kind of busy!

First things first. July was not kind to us. In the first week of the month I miscarried. I would have been about 12 weeks along. I still struggle with that every now and then, but most days I'm fine. And not to mention, Ryan has been out of town a couple times in the last few months for work. So I was glad he was home for this particularly fun event.

We did have fun despite the not fun stuff. Ava and I went to Salt Lake with my sisters. (Sorry Kait! I wish you could have come!) We took all the kids and had a great time! We were able to go to places like the Children's Museum, the Hogle Zoo, and the Clark Planetarium.

(Here's where I get lazy! I didn't bring my camera with me so all these are from my phone! Thank goodness for that!)

Ava at the Children's Museum.

Ava and Aunty Ann

We were headed over to the Leonardo when we came across this super cool fountain thing! The kids were a little crazy and it was HOT so we stopped to play for a while.

Ava and Lila holding hands. Too sweet.

Marissa and Lila were able to come hang out with us on Saturday! Levi took Finn camping so it was just the two of them. (We missed you Levi and Finn!)

This was on the way home. We wore the kids out!!!

In August we had our annual Cousin Camp for my side of the family. Again I did not bring my camera. Even though it was a five minute drive home to get it. See… lazy!

Levi had a business trip that week so Marissa and the kids got to come for the whole week. (Riss, I hope you weren't sick of us!!)

 Cute cousins!!!
Ellie, Ava, and Lila.
(Thanks Heidi! I totally downloaded this pic from facebook!)

It was Cars themed this year! There were lots of fun games and races. Ava loved getting to play with all of her cousins!

Ryan and I also celebrated our 5th anniversary this month! Ryan was taking me out of town that same weekend for a girls trip with my wonderful mother-in-law and all my sweet sisters-in-law! He was going to get to hang out with all the boys while we did our fun girly stuff. So since we were already going, he suprised me and found a babysitter for Ava (Thank you a TON Cam, Heidi, and girls!!) while we were able to have an Ava free evening!

Well what started out as a good trip out of town turned into something completely different! Just out of Duchesne we hit a tire. No, not just the tire. THE WHOLE WHEEL. This kid was pushing it across the street and we hit it. We did NOT hit the kid. Just his wheel. It scared me a little but we were fine. The poor kid was scared to death. Almost literally. (It's a much better story when Ryan can tell it. So ask him about it!)

See. Just a little crack. Nothing big… for us!

We then proceed into Salt Lake. Or West Valley to visit with Grandma and Grandpa Weekes. It was a fun visit! Then we were  heading to our hotel. Ryan wouldn't tell me which one it was. Turns out it was the Anniversary Inn. Fun. So on our way there, the car started being weird. We broke down and Ryan had to push us to the side of the road. Not fun. He called Eric. Eric came and helped us get it going. It only took several hours and an alternator and a battery. Then we were on our way again. We made it to our hotel and to dinner at the ROOf. Yum! (Happy Anniversary, babe! I love you!) We get up Saturday morning and drive to City Creek for some shopping. Lots of fun. We start heading to Amy and Eric's and the car starts being weird again. Same weird. Not cool green car. So Eric and his dad save us again. Thanks a million and then some Eric for spending your whole weekend helping us!!! Lets just say I didn't make if for our fun girls weekend. Sad. After a trip to the Tunex guys and another alternator we were ready to go! We made it home and haven't had trouble with it since. Thank goodness.

Anyways. So Ryan and I have been trying to get qualified to participate in the self help housing program. After a few weeks of paper work, phone calls, and waiting, we finally got accepted into the program yesterday! YAY!!! Super excited! It will take somewhere around 10 months to a year to get into our very own very brand new house!! We can hardly wait to get started!

Ava and I took a trip over to Pheasant Run Estates today to check out our lot. Its full of weeds and stuff. Cool.

(And after seeing all these pictures, I realized that Ava is wearing the same outfit in almost all of them. Hmmm. She loves her Hello Kitty dress. Could you tell?)

Home sweet home!

In between all our crazy adventures we somehow find time to help Grandpa Garth in the garden. Ava loves being outside and helping! And for those of you who know my child, yes she actually is eating that corn. Who is this child right!?!

So...

I'm due on January 15, 2013. I'm only 10 weeks but so far I feel ok. I feel sick almost all the time but as long as I keep food in me (and try not to think about it too much) I do better.

Yep. We're pretty excited to add a new little one to our family. It depends on the day wether or not Ava's excited about it. This morning I asked her if she wanted to add a new baby to our family. She seemed ok with the idea. I'm sure she'll love it when it comes!

Winn Family Pictures

Since Kaitlynn and Garrett are married, it's time for a new family picture!
This is my favorite of my little family!

The siblings!

This one just makes me laugh!
Here is EVERYONE!
This was such a fun photo session! We were all laughing almost the whole time!

(P.S. Does anyone else get a little confused by the new blogger??)

It's That Time Again!!

Ava has really been needing a hair cut again. So today mom cut it for me!! I really love what she did!!

This is the "after" from her last hair cut.
She was such a big girl for Grandma! (She was pretty wiggly but she did so good!)
Typical Ava look… She did NOT want to smile pretty for me.
Oh there's a cute smile!
The back
We got really bold this time!! Mom cut off quite a bit! She even did some layers so it would curl better!

Way to be a big girl Ava Baby!!

Shake It!

I'd like to say we've been really busy lately and that's why I haven't blogged in a while. But that would only be partly true. It's mostly that I've been lazy! I haven't really been taking any pictures either. Everything from this post came from my moms camera!

I just love this picture! This was taken around New Year's. It was fun to have Marissa, Levi, and their kids home for a while!
Can't you just feel the love!!!

Ava has really been loving music lately. We've got our iHome set up in the bathroom so we can dance while we are getting ready in the morning! But for your viewing pleasure I have here two super cute videos. Don't worry, they are both pretty short. Ava has been into "Booty Shake" dancing. Pretty EPIC if I do say so myself…

And yes, that is Justin Bieber she's dancing too. She LOVES to sing "Baby" while we get ready for the day!!!
This last video really cracks me up! That's usually how she dances! I just love her little booty shake! At least for now!!

Ava's First Official Haircut!

I've been a little nervous about getting Ava's haircut. I was worried she would loose her curl. But we'd loose her curl if we didn't cut it. So I finally made an appointment for her! She was a champ!!! Here she is before we left for her appointment!

Look how long it is!!!

Here she is after!!! Mikki cut it so it's all the same length. I can still pull it up cute if we want. Or leave it down like we do most days!

This isn't a really great picture to show this, but she's got the curl back at the top of her head! Her curls are really bouncy again! We have LOVED this haircut!
