Merry Christmas

What a blessing the Jones' have been in my life. They really are family. They were kind enough to include me again this year in their Christmas activities. The funny thing this year is that I left my cell phone in my car the night before, so nobody could get ahold of me. I guess after several phone calls, Val and Tiff came over. They were worried, and wanted to make sure that I was ok. After finding out that I was ok, Tiff "broke" up with me! Christmas was fantastic this year.

Our Christmas Eve

Every year without fail we switch off with my niece and nephew's mom. This year we got the kids on Christmas Eve. I was so excited this year because I was able to give Kyle a Nintendo DS, and help Haley with her High School Musical obsession! My nephew Travis is always fun, and got a ton of cool stuff, and the latest addition to our family Zachary had no idea what was going on, but sure enjoyed the packages. My sister and I were also able to get my mom a new digital camera. Among all of the ribbons and bows, and packages, it's easy to loose track of the true meaning of Christmas. I've thought about my saviour a lot especially this week, and saw a movie called the Nativity. I would recommend this to anyone. It reminded me where my thoughts needed to be! Happy Birthday!

Merry Christmas

I am grateful for so many things about Christmas! I love the sights the smells and the sounds. Children laughing, the house smelling like freshly baked cookies, and the amazing feeling that I get. I love to give gifts, but they could never compare to the amazing gift that we received that very first Christmas!

Merry Christmas

This is really my favorite time of the year. I love Christmas. Everyone is a little nicer, and it's easy to remember the blessings that we have in our lives because our thoughts go naturally to the birth of our Saviour. I often find myself think of Mary and Joseph. I wonder what was going through their minds on that night. I can only imagine how overwhelmed they must have been. Not only to be parents, but to be the earthly parents of the Christ Child. I was given a book from a friend of mine that has a special story, and scripture that goes along with it for the month leading up to Christmas Day. I look forward to bring this out every year, and reading from it. It really does get me in the right mind set for Christmas. It reminds me that while gifts and get togethers are so much fun, my focus needs to be on Christ, and the amazing gift that was his life. Like I said, I love Christmas, but what I love the most is the blessings that were brought into our lives because of Jesus Christ.

Rainy Days

This time of year is always my favorite. I love rainy fall days. It makes me want to stay home, wrap my self up in a blanket, drink hot chocolate, and watch movies all day! There is just something about rain, and the leaves changing colors that makes me feel comforted.
