Well here it is Sunday night and it is almost 11:00. I am still wide awake, I suppose I shouldn't have taken such a long nap. It sure felt good though! I love this time of year, and I have never really thought about why this is. So as I was driving to work the other day I started pondering this. I remember growing up how fun it was the first couple of warm days. Days that I could finally go outside and play. I love the watching the calves with their mamas, blossoms on the trees, GREEN GRASS, planting flowers, jumping on the tramp with my kids, going for walks, irrigating with the hubby (watching him irrigate I mean:) ... I could go on forever!

Another thing that happened and still happens this time of year, is my grandparents return from their winter home in Arizona. I remember counting down the days until they come home then running over to their house as soon as they arrived. I still do this! We pretty much met them on their doorstep when they got home this year. They had never seen Jenna so this year was extra special.

I also get excited for summer to come, but I also start feeling a little sad that I only have a few weeks left with my class. I spend so much time with them during the year, it is really hard to let them go. Well, I better get to bed. I will post some more pics soon. I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Jenna pic

Tina (Miller) Stinson took Jenna's pictures last Saturday. Here is just one that was on her website. I will post more after I get them. She did an awesome job! If you haven't checked out her work her website is www.ittybittyportraits.com. Her blog is http://itty-bittyportraits.blogspot.com/ . It is super fun. I love baby pictures. She also took our family pictures last winter. I can't wait to get ours taken this summer or fall.

Easter

My loves

Taylor got mad that Ethan always gets to hold Jenna, so here is big brother Taylor holding Jenna.

Another picture of Jenna and the twins

We had an awesome Easter, all of David's siblings came home so there were many kids around and we all had a ball. Ethan played with his best friends Quin and Rieley S. they went lizard and snake hunting several times. They caught 5 lizards and 1 snake all around the farm. Taylor, Jayden, Jace, and Megan played in the yard with the dogs and cats. They also discovered the tree house so Taylor and Jayden spent a lot of time there. On Friday, I had 9 kids over at my house and it was so much fun. I enjoy having lots of kids around. On Saturday, Paul and Erin , Brittany and Scott, and Grandma Norma all came over to see the twins and Cherelle. Needless to say, it was a great extended weekend with lots of family and friends.

Primary Activity

We had a really fun Primary Activity last week. Ruby Harvey was in charge and she did an awesome job. We made Family Home Evening charts, family journals, and had wonderful treats. While the moms made the charts other adults were playing games with the kids. It was fun for all of us. I feel so happy to have such a great ward.
This picture is of the Hessenthaler babies born in 2008. Jett leads the pack, he was born June 25th. Jenna was born Nov. 25th and the twins were born on Dec. 19th. They will be the best of friends!

This is my Great Grandma Asay, Jenna and my cute little cousin Teagan. My grandma is 92 and still looking great!

My Birthday

Yesterday was my birthday, and it was a a great one. When I went to the office at noon, this beautiful bouquet of flowers was there. They were from my Mom. I was so excited. This is the second time ever I have been sent flowers (and they were both from my Mom:). When I got back to my classroom after lunch, Betsy and Teri had a case of Pepsi and a snickers bar sitting on my desk. They know me too well. Then at 2:00, I got a call from the office saying I had another bouquet. I was a little perplexed wondering who they could be from, and yes they were from David. I could not believe it. He joked that he was going to put "from you secret admirer", but I said that wouldn't have been funny because he would have been the last one I would have guessed sent them. (He actually called, ordered them, and went down and paid cash for them. I was really impressed. He didn't even have to stop by the school to get money from me:)
Aren't they beautiful? In the evening, my Grandma and Grandpa brought over a huge cake, and we had many guests over for the party. It was so much fun. I felt very loved:) We all laughed and talked for a couple hours until it was time for bed. I am so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family. They made my birthday so enjoyable. Thanks to everyone!
