I fell in love ♥
18/05/09
Name is never to be given out on internet. Rule set by loving parent. Oh who am I kidding? So yes, my name’s Jeneva. Most call me Jen and I most prefer it that way, thank you very much. Some call me Jenny. My dad calls me Neng. Until now, I never knew how that came about. I have a much much longer name but I'll leave it as it is for the sake of internet safety precautions... but on second thought, not that many people read this crappy blog... at least I don't think so.
Emotional is my middle name. Well, not really, but you know where I’m getting at. I cry at literally anything. Whether it’s happy/sad/sweet/ridiculous/pathetic, yep, I tear up. I seriously don’t know what’s wrong with me. I should get my tearducts checked, shouldn’t I? They’re uncontrollable it’s not even funny.
Sibling is fortunately one and only but that does not mean that she couldn’t be considered an endangered species and taken away, in case one of these days I go psycho, kill her, and then she becomes lost to the world. If I had 3 words to describe her: violent, rowdy, noisy. Mind you, she’s only 7. Keywords are ‘she’ and ‘7’.
Music is something I love. Of course, who doesn't? I'm not the kind who listens to anything, everything though I must admit. I cannot stand rock/hip-hop. Well, if it's John Mayer-esque rock, I'd love it. But if it's AC/DC-esque rock, I'd probably don't. Yeah, I'm picky. Being in my church choir, of course I love gospel music. Pop, Soul/Blues... yup. I think my dad plays a huge part in how I came about liking only those genre of music. The fact that I grew up in a Filipino community where we consider soprano-type voices fan-flippin-tastic doesn't help either.
TV is one thing I never have time for. If I'm lucky I may be able to watch a few shows a week. Other than that, I basically don't watch it. I know it exists. It just doesn't exist in the places I want it too. For me, it has always been the internet. Seriously, I cannot go a day without switching my computer on. I guess my so-called addiction on graphic design doesn’t help. Neither does knowing that there are awesome people waiting for me at Archuletafans.com, Team Archie and ZF. Besides, without the internet, how the heck could I act all Mission Impossible (in this case, possible) and find juicy stuff regarding Zac and Vanessa's relationship? Cyeah, I thought so.
Actors are people I have total respect for. I honestly can't imagine having a camera shoved in my face while I'm trying to do something that everyone else does. Besides, some of them are so good it’s just amazing to me that they can revert back to being normal people when they're roles are all over. I don’t know, being an actor is just not my forte. It’s funny how people say I could be an actress. After reading this paragraph, think again.
I find fan-girling insanely embarrassing but that hasn't stopped me yet. That's about it. True, my opinion about fan-girling isn't much of a clincher but hey, no one actually reads this part.

Benton Paul <3
Benton Paul - Jen's Song
The first time we held hands together,
It was like my world had stopped
The first time we closed eyes together,
It was like I couldn’t talk
All I need from you
Is just a sentence or two
Telling me that you
Feel the way that I do
All I need from you
Is just a story or two
Telling me that you
Feel the way that I do
Every time we stand together,
I think of all the things I lack
And every time we hold each other,
All I want is that it lasts and lasts and lasts…
Cuz what I need from you
Is just a sentence or two
Telling me that you
Feel the way that I do
All I need from you
Is just a story or two
Telling me that you
Feel the way that I do
‘Cuz I’m not worthy of you…

"I'm completely, head over heels, in love with you"
From Left: Mara, LA, Me
Haha, here's just a little something that was taken in class. We're actually not allowed to bring cameras so.. sshh! Thanks Jamie's camera! I think this was on Friday. I forgot that I was suppose to wear my regular uniform on Fridays rather than my LT aka. dengue alert uniform hehe. Here's LA with his "Swiss Honey" - not me, Mara - and me.
It's been raining a lot nowadays. No, scratch that, it's been thunderstorm-ing and typhoon-ing a lot haha. But more to the serious side, Dad went to Manila yesterday early in the morning and was supposed to be back before 12pm. It rained so hard that he was stuck on this road for more than 19 hours cause of the flood. Thank God he found a spot to park the car on kind of a hill. Mom said he only managed to reach home at around 5am today, but he's okay now :) There's no school tomorrow cause of it too, don't know if that's a good thing or not haha. My internet wasn't working at all yesterday.. which totally killed me. But Skype was working! It was weird.. cause my laptop isn't connected at all, and yet, I was able to chat with people on Skype haha! Yes, it's fate.
Next week's the school's Intramurals! Meaning, there're no lessons on Thursday and Friday, just the Intrams - Sports Day. Isn't that cool? A 2-day Sports Day. And maybe.. I can sneak my phone in too.. hmm.
-
'Cause I would walk though a thunder storm just to kiss you.
I'm out here on my own.
Better now than I was before,
But, I miss you, and I want you to know.
:)

"You're the best thing that's happened to me y'know?"
You might be right
The walls are high
The sky is higher
And, yes, I know
The pain is strong
But love is stronger
Can’t you see
That no matter what
I’m gonna be
Fighting for you

, 6:27 PM
waiting patiently for that day
Hello, again! Give me some credit people, I'm blogging for the second day straight. Well.. partly because I'm bored and this is the only way to kill time, but that's not the point. So! Anyways, TGIF! Haha, I miss you Mdm. Ho! And Geography! One thing I love about Friday is that we're released an hour earlier from school. Sure, it doesn't beat the 12.35pm releases there in SG but hey, I'll take 3pm from 4pm any day. The day went by pretty fast, we only had 5 subjects: Eng, Chem, Fil, Com and Geom. As usual, we did nothing for English. Well we copied notes and read the newspaper but that's not exactly what you call 'teaching'. We discussed Noli Me Tangere in Fil... I actually find the story pretty cool now. I read Kado's comic version and it's really easier to understand that way, will all them pictures.. I read 5 chapters in 30minutes! Instead of that novel version ugh, I can barely understand some of the words in there and I have to re-read in sentence twice to actually 'get' it. So yep, I'm gonna go buy the comic!
Chemistry was okay. We had a quiz on the s-block and f-block of the periodic table (aka first 2 colums and the 2 rows at the very bottom, as in the separated one). I don't know how I managed to memorize all that, but I did, alleluia haha. After that we had a little game - pass the message. Claire was the first person in my group and Luis was the last. The message was "Dmitri Mendeleev developed the most accurate Periodic Table" hahah, it all went by so fast, we were one of the first ones to actually run to the board to write the sentence down for checking.. well Luis was supposed to since he was the last person. Omg it was hilarious when he ran to the board super fast and started writing down the sentence but stopped and started jumping and shouting "Oh my god! How do you spell Dmitri?!" and everyone bursted out laughing. Yup, that was epic.
Computer was 2hr long.. draggy subject I'm telling you. Ms. Yumul left the class for like an hour and a halfbut we had notes to copy so it wasn't exactly freedom. Though, it was realll funny. Victor (he sits beside me) turned to me and was like "What course do you want to take for college? I'm taking up intercourse." Haha! I giggled and he was like "What did you think? I meant international course.. ikaw talaga, kung anu-ano iniisip mo." Then some of them (La, Luis, Justin, Jasmine and others) started playing this game about who can hold their breath the longest and who can press the enter button as many times as possible in the calculator so it'll bne counted. Haha, if you were there, it was hilarious, they're awesome. Some people brought their thumbdrives.. I could see Denise's computer out of the corner of my eye and guess what, she was browsing through her pictures when she went to The Pussycat Dolls' concert in Manila. Kyle, be jealous. I still hate what Nicole was wearing that night. Ehh.
Well, I'm currently in Pandacan, again. It's so dark already, and it's only 6.30pm. Currently freezing in my grandma's bedroom while everyone's outside, eating. We're gonna sleep in my other grandma's house tonight (which is a few blocks away) cause someone's renting the guest room.. they just came 2 days ago. Stupid. Haha, just kidding, I don't mind. I like the other house better cause all my hilarious aunties and cousins are there. Oh! Spectacular! in 30min - I've been wanting to watch, the songs are catchy. The Engagement Game's going okay. I'm 'pregnant' now haha, I have the egg in a basket requirement at home and my aunt finally got the Marriage Liscence, Marriage Cert and Birth Cert application forms from the NSO, so all I have to do is fill em up. I need to start writing the weekly journal writing too, it starts this week. Honeymoon plans and Wedding reception plans due in 2 weeks! God, help me!
PS: I miss Singapore ):
I miss you, boo. If I can't go back there anytime soon, I'm not expecting you to wait forever you know that (:

i'm always almost completely out of my head
What's up readers? That is... if you're still alive after waiting for so long for a blog post. So yeah, I know I haven't been updating much.. forgive me, I do have lazy days y'know. In this case, almost everyday lazy days. The past few weeks had been exam weeks too, I've been really busy. Try fitting 4 subjects in your brain for a day's exam. Seriously, can the main branch of the school be any more stupid with coming up with exam schedules? Cramming 13 subjects in a week ain't good man. But.. it's all over now, thank the Lord above! (: My results are not that bad either, in the line of 90s. It's weird here.. some exams reach up to 120 so they calculate the percentage by for eg. 65/120 x 50 + 50. Maybe I'll post my results once I get everything, cause I'm still missing like a few more subjects. Everything's been fine, though I still am desperate to go back to Singapore, sigh. That will always be in my wishlist, I wish a miracle would happen. Okay! Enough moping! Haha. Monica, a classmate of mine, has been real interested in my love life.. she asks questions like "In a scale of 1-10, how hot's your person?", "How're the kisses?" and "Have you guys said 'I love you'?" hahah! And she asks constantly! All I could do is blush.
She's absent today. Today's okay, thank god it's PE week so the day's not that long and draggy. But oh my god, we were supposed to go out for PE to play Korfball (long story) but it rained. I swear the weather hates us cause before we went down, it was sunny.. when we were about to leave the building, it rained quite heavily. After going up the classroom again, it stopped! Grrr. Sir didn't let us go down again so we copied notes for 2 hours straight. I think my hand was shaking after that. Imagine filling up 5 pieces of foolscap paper, no spaces, back-to-back. It was a nightmare lol. But really, which school has a P.E written exam? Oh right, mine. The rest of the day's been uneventful. First sub was English, I really do despise English nowadays. Partly cause we don't do anything. Not that I'm complaining about that, but the topics tested in the exams needs to be discussed, not like in SG where it's compo and compre (not to mention the dreaded summary). Though, I'd rather learn that than those Adverb Clauses, Subject-Verb Agreement whatever shit here lol.
I like Maths.. I do.. but I think I know what you mean now Kyle when you said you hated Congruency and Similarity. Gosh, cue non-stop headache! I like Chemistry too.. definitely more than Physics (thank god Physics is next year here) but I swear the electronic configuration thing's so messed up. I'm so confused... I got so used to the one in SG. What s,p,d,f levels? Whattt? Lol, god help me. I'm actually memorizing a part of the periodic table now, I hate how in SG it's just elements 1-20, while here's literally everything. Oh! And what's this thing I'm hearing about regarding the Geog students' trip the Philippines? Specifically, to my school? Lol, KYLE! Make sure you come with okay? I miss you! ;D
We've been going to Pandacan, Manila a lot nowadays. Did I ever tell you guys that dad's setting up an Internet Cafe business? Everything's cool and awesome about it so far, except for the name of the cafe itself so I shan't blog about that lol. Hey, it's earning money through computers, what could be better? (;
PS: UP for the win! If you haven't watched it, do it! Right now!

i burn up in your atmosphere
It's almost our third.. and I'm so amazed at every milestone we pass because every single time, I feel like I'm falling in love with you all over again. Even if that dreaded 1337 miles' present, I feel like you're right beside me. Nothing's changed, from then to now and I'm so blessed to know that. I'm gonna say it over and over again; you're perfect, to me at least (; I love you baby, just you.
Ben(edict): Yi Jie and I are not going out! Hahah!

"engagement game" blues
This project's giving me a headache. What school comes up with this kind of things? Oh right, mine. First off, the requirements are... pretty out there (egg in a basket, engagement rings..?). Secondly, I'm forced to 'marry' someone I barely know, so yeah, it's a little awkward. Thirdly, my apparent husband wants to name our son Cloud Edward. Two things: Edward reminds me of Twilight and who would want to name their son Cloud? Forgive me, this post's gonna be full of rants. Bear with me. At first I was all "Hey.. cool project!" before I saw all the requirements. There are soooo many, it's making my life so hard, literally. With my workload, millions of quizzes, it's hard to keep up. *insert whines here* I seriously thought the worst must-have is the Marriage Contract application form cause you'd have to get it from the City Hall. But no.. it gets worse. They want us to interview an OB Gyne and a Pediatrician for guides to my 'pregnancy'. God, I don't even want to be a mother this early... haha. And I don't think the school realizes how much it costs for an appointment, worse, only to just interview them. The school's a money-taking machine! My dad says so too! They find every single reason for us to pay for stuff. Like the orientation. We paid like $100 and we don't even know why.. my teachers are the one who teaches us and not other foreign trainers, there aren't any new materials bought, still the same old Montessori Materials. Ugh. Anyways... in short, we have to plan everything that happens from the point where a couple gets married. Yes, honeymoon included lol. In our scrapbook, there has to be a story of how we met and 'fell in love', wedding arrangements, honeymoon arrangements, a journal on what happened with my pregnancy... you name it, it's there. About the egg-in-a-basket, that basically represents an egg in the womb, and we girls have to carry it around with us wherever we go. And when I finally 'give birth', I would replace that egg with a baby doll.. all the while wearing an engagement ring my husband gave me. You know what? I'd scan that game guidelines paper and show it to all of you, and see if you can take it haha. xoxo

a typical day in ob montessori
It started raining pretty hard when I woke up, an I was realllyyy hoping that school will be cancelled (cause it usually is when there's a thunderstorm). On the way I was muttering "rain harder!" under my breath non-stop for literally 20min, I was really desperate not to go to school today cause I had LT (Leadership Training) aka NCC. I can't believe that's included in the final grade *groans* I think just 2 two weeks ago, I had more than 5 demerits already hehe. Forgive me for not knowing that requirements. Well anyway, school's not canceled ): haha. We reached school and the security guard came out with an umbrella to fetch me from the car. That's what you get for paying a high tuition fee hah, you'd get a personal bodyguard. I think he knows all the names of the students in the school, since it's a pretty small branch, cause before you can get home, they have to announce your name over the speaker thing to let you know that your parents are outside to pick you up. You can't just go out w/o a "Commuter's Pass" - I know, believe me, it's complicated. First subject was English. Our English teacher's also our Class Adviser (Form Teacher). I'm still not used to saying 'Ma'am' and 'Sir' haha. I'm so used to calling the teachers by their names. Like for eg, during attendance roll call we're suppose to answer "Ma'am/Sir present Ma'am/Sir" but I always forget. And I swear just cause I'm new, she targets me most of the time to answer questions or give recitations - not fun. Like just now, she asked me to summarize the column we were reading, thank God I actually knew what it was about. That's about it really, for English just now. Half the time we were distracted cause we were talking about what our jobs will be in the future. It started with Ilana wanting to be a Journalist, then went up to LA who jokingly said that he'll replacing his father as the P.E teacher in the school haha, Luis being Playboy Philippines' future publisher/editor haha and Jireh being Christine's manager when she takes up modeling for Victoria's Secret hahah! It was pretty funny when Jireh said it straight like he's really planning to do it... even teacher laughed like crazy. Science! I actually like Science, cause it's only Chemistry. It's easier than in SG too. But it's weird though, we learn scientific notation, indices (the easiest indices possible) and other weird stuff here that's supposed to be in math, but are not haha. But it's cool, I like our teacher (Ms. Fabian). We got into our groups just now and finished our experiment from yesterday. I'm with LA, Claire, Mara, Brandon and Stephen. The active members are only like me, Claire, Mara and LA though, the other two just copies whatever we write down hah. The class ended pretty fast, cause that's the only thing we did, and half the time we were distracted cause we were talking about SPF and Claire's previous school (she's a returnee). We had Accounting next. Mr. De Silva wasn't in the class for like the first 30min cause apparently he was 'busy fixing his tie' in the bathroom. Now, you can guess his gender, and yes, he's really like that lol! This is like our 3rd meeting for Accounting and until now, we haven't studied a thing. Don't ask. He's stubborn with all the requirements ugh. Just now we were discussing the "Inter-dependencies of Man" and it basically talks about how a fisherman, baker, butcher, farmer and a carpenter are related to each other. He looks at it for a while and says "Why isn't there a dressmaker in here?" Yep, that pretty much says a lot. The girls couldn't stop giggling. Snacks! I didn't eat though, didn't feel like it. I just stayed in class until the period was over, isn't it fun to be all alone in a classroom? Lol. Especially when... *cough* okay, moving on! Ugh, LT. Everyone came in like 15 minutes earlier just to prepare all the requirements for LT. Everything has to be on your table, all arranged, for the inspection. The class' COCC were right in front to be inspected by Mr. Lasaleta and they would inspect us. I think I had more than 5 demerits for not bringing an extra shirt (that's 5 demerits already), for an unpolished buckle (I find this unfair, I polished my buckle the night before) and for having long fingernails (it wasn't that long). Our teacher's actually nice and funny once the lesson starts but the inspection's scary. Once he pulled Jamie's belt so hard to see if it's on tight until one of the belt loops came out. And he came on to Wynford and pulled some hair from his upper lip using his finger cause no guy supposed to be sporting a moustache. Yikes. Oh! During the inspection, Leanne collapsed ): Like literally. We just heard a loud bang and next thing we knew she was on the floor. She hit her bottom lip on the table and her head on the teacher's table in the process. Everyone pretty much freaked out... I found out she had a heart problem wayy back then. The COCC carried her to the front office, but she's okay now. She woke up shortly after and went home. She said she couldn't even remember fainting.. aww, Leanne, get better! We had a surprise quiz and I failed... how said is that. my first failure of the year. When we announce our scores and I said 8/20, Karl was like "Jeneva, 8?! Wtf?" haha. Lesson was pretty longgg (duh, 2 hours) but we had lunch after that. I ate, I was actually pretty hungry cause I didn't eat during snacks. Homeroom! I was actually gone for most of the homeroom cause I had to take a SSHA test (forgot what it stands for) at the Guidance Office. When I got back, I found out 2 things that until now, I have no idea if it's good or bad. 1) Miguel's my partner for the Engagement Game project. 2) I was nominated to be a Class Officer. We don't know the results yet though, maybe tomorrow cause ma'am has yet to compile the votes. Last subject was TLE - Food Management. We had a recitation, I did okay, at least I managed to answer the questions teacher asked me. And correctly, mind you, haha. That's the only thing we did actually cause Ms. Hocson's sick and could barely talk. After that, we had the daily class evaluation, Miguel did it. I love how it's all "Section 3A, called to order!" *hits court mallet on the table 3 times* After all the taking down of accomplishments, problems and resolutions, going home time, yay! I fixed my locker and headed down. It was still raining pretty hard, thank God dad was already there when I got down. I took a nap after I got home, I couldn't help it, the weather was so cold. Until now, it's still raining. Unbelievable, but please, continue on so that school's suspended tomorrow hehe. So yeah, that's how it usually is everyday... only with different subjects each day of course. Like on Wednesdays, we have Law <-- hardest subject ever, I'm never gonna take up law. Attny. Pamintuan said it himself, the only nice thing about being a lawyer is that you're called Attorney, haha! Oh and pssst, he's the father of the guy sitting beside me, Ricardo. xoxo
