Meet us in orbit for a party.
i wouldnt say one year was exceptionally long or short.
but, one year of affection.
one year of pleasant surprises.
one year of laughters.
one year of goofing around.
one year of perfection.
one year of unassailable bond.
one year of wrestling.
one year of unexplainable comfort.
one year of food hunting.
one year of 'good morning' messages.
i can never get enough of one year, we can go longer than this :)

dinner at brewerkz on the 14 june.
there was pretty tough competition between brewerkz and tonkichi.
we were certain that if we decide on brewerkz, we're gonna miss the oh-so-tender-and-crispy-brown tonkatsu (pork cutlet).
and if we chose tonkichi, we are totally going to miss those fat steak fries with potato skin at brewerkz.
read TOUGH CHOICE.
i guess the temptation of the fries were unbearable and we found ourselves being seated in brewerkz. LOL.
this time we both tried their 2 piece fish and chips and goodness the portion was pretty damn huge for a reasonable person to consume.
dont be deceive by the words "2 piece" cause we really stuffed ourselves to the brim, right up to the throats!
i felt like i could puke if u mention fish and chips in front of me.
the fish was very fresh and the batter was perfectly fried to golden brown, but i guess after a while we got sick of it and it was taking a toll on our bellies. haha.
again, the chips were superb, we're both suckers for fries with a little potatoes skin on it fried to perfecto.
i freaking L O V E the chips, ahhhhhhhh :D
somebody da pao the chips for me please!

handmade cards by bay never fails to put a big smile on my face. :)
the last time round i receive one that was in a shape of a heart but it was a distorted heart.
lol, must be the mediocre cutting skills.
and the best thing was it had a very primary-school-kids border as decoration, i think it was sth like this ~.~.~.~.~.
*rolls on the floor and laugh like theres no tomorrow.
but i must commend his arts and craft this time cause i see major improvements in cutting skills, card design, card creativity for eg:
1) i got a perfect circle of little flowers on the cover page of the card. yay, no more distorted shapes!
2) there was even a storyline about how he crossed the river and left the 14 trees to hang his heart on this one ballish tree. the picture scene on the card was so heartwarming, just look at the tree man!
3) if u notice the river, the mini waves in the river is plain hilarious looking! some parts of it are thick and others are thin, not equal at all. he claims that the mini waves were introduced to furthur illustrates the blue strip was the river. awwww, tell me how to not love la!
its all good in the hood :D
ps. my ulcer hurts like fuck and it seems to be not subsiding at all.

The food hunters
yes u heard me, foodhunting is the exact term. :)
the bean and i have been venturing into neighbourhoods and ulu streets to discover some of the highly recommended and rated food by leslie on ieatishootipost.
so far we are pretty damn satisfied by our "findings". read hoe nam prawn noodles, lao zhong zhong wu xiang, tom ton, tonkichi.
and today we headed for ABC market behind Ikea.
you really might wanna try to find the hidden staircase between Ikea and BMW performance showrooms to get to the hdb blocks
you are going to want to thank me for that.
and ooooooh, all the white 3 series and 5 series that are nicely parked in a straight line, its the bomb manggggggg! *screams.
didnt have much problem finding ABC market. cause i have a walking GPS with me.
i'll let the pictures do the talking.

i swear we are damn addicted to prawn noodles, even the fried kind of hokkien prawns we never let it slipped out of our hands.
this time we gave Tiong Bahru Yi Sheng Hokkien Prawn Mee a shot.
i thought it was not bad, but maybe we ordered only the 3 bucks serving so there werent any prok slices or any "christmas present". HAHAH
the chilli was good though, i think i spotted like ikan billis inside. pretty unique taste.
knowing the hungry bean/ocassionally us, after we whacked the prawn mee, we still wanted to feed the lucky belly.

hello Bao Zai! :DDD
i always have this soft spot for char siew paus, they are totally irresistable.
so theres not a chance that im gonna miss this since it appeared on ieatishootipost.
though the paus were really tiny compared to the standard ones u get outside, the char siew fillings wouldnt disappoint you. (not if u have really high standards or fussy!)
it was sweet and i though it was pretty decent.
maybe they should make it a little bigger so i wont feel so cheated for paying 60 cents for that. lol.
okay, i feel my hoe nam prawn noodles crave coming.
AGAIN.

Expect the unexpected.i have been eyeing this for the longest time.
i have been wanting to get my hands on this.
i have been contemplating and contemplating.
thats it, i will try to squeeze 50 bucks out of mother teo for this little toy.
maybe feed her some excuse like errr....oh my birthday!
i never get any presents from her and she'll reply "the cake is my present"
*rolls eyes la.

The Holga 120N in black!!!
shall make a trip down to basheer graphics at bras basah, objectifs at leang seah street and inQbox to check out the price.
if all else fails, i'll wait for grannysnaps lomo spree to open on 12th may :)

the supersampler! i like the 4 frames that kinda make a moving picture effect!
oh nooooooo, i like this also!
jialat mang. no moolah is such a sad thing ):
and all of us got a shock today cause bhrana and the kalya officially announced they are together.
they kept us in the dark for 7 months!!!
ZOMG. the blacks oughta get shot. lol
but whatever make them happy man, though i still cant really get used to the fact that they're an item.
it feels a little weird to see them holding hands and all, HAHA.
and oh my, i dont even want to go into the excessive lovebites part.
and really, my face is kinda red. sucks.

Its the lets-show-off-our-fast-cars-day.
i know i haven't blogged for the longest time ever!
and definitely more than happy and relieved to announced that the damn exams are finally over.
it feels like i can finally breathe again, lol :)
it was a tough battle esp how the law of investment paper kicked my ass, really thank you ah.
but oh wells, i'm gonna stay away from books for the next 2 months!
*jumps and pumps my fist in the air.
and to all fast cars addicts out there, if u weren't out on the roads today, i say u miss out on all the good stufs.
cause i experience an unexplainable phenomenon and reason has to be that its the "lets-show-off-our-fast-cars-day".
on our way to town in the early evening, bean and i saw 2 Maseratis and 2 Bentleys.
after dinner, we were crossing the traffic juntion near suntec when a very striking orange Gallardo was just making its turn.
and and AND (yes it aint over)
night fell and we bus-ed home on the usual 111.
pass the national musuem and out of nowhere bean exclaimed and pointed out to an Audi R8 sitting nicely in the dimly lighted open space carpark. i really could't tell.
and just when i was about to push the R8 thoughts out of my mind, we freaking saw ANOTHER Audi R8 in motion on the road! O_OOOOOO
then, about a few metres behind the R8, there was this BMW M5 came zooming into the picture.
and shortly after, an Aston Martin drove pass the bus like the speed limit was 100!
thats like 4 expensive cars in FIVEEEEEE MINUTES.
really zomg, i dont even know how it happened. absolutely insane.
hmm, maybe i should go get a BMW coupe highline and join in the fun.

Flyer, shark's fin, Gapzomg, i haven't been to blogger for the longest time ever!
but i just have to be here cause i been to awesome place today, had a scrumptious dinner and enjoyed zeeee best company :))))
thanks to bay's father's birthday, we finally got a chance to take our very own Singapore Flyer!
better still, an all-paid-for-trip, what more could i ask for right.
okay, fasten your seatbelts, here we gooooooo!

thats our big guy, mr singapore flyer.
the sky was alittle overcast but thank god it didnt rain on us.

our pleasant surprise! Popeye's at the basement of mr singapore flyer.
:))))))))))))
no more travelling all the freaking way to the east just for their chicken and cajun fries.

apparently they call this the "Yakult Rainforest" or sth to that extent.
O_OOOOOOO

the boarding and alighting platform, pretty cool design.

we board onto the capsule and my legs went a little wobbly and weak.
as our capsule slowly inch its way out of the plateforms, my heart was like thumping faster than usual. hahaha.
a mixture of excitement and fear for heights.

CBD skyline about halfway up.

i think thats the marina steamboat area.

the expressway plus floating stadium from the top.

good gosh, look at how much tall concrete buildings there are in the far distant.
must be all the HDBs.

we are nearing the highest point of mr singapore flyer.
which is like 1 6 5 metres from the ground!
i really don't wanna imgine myself falling down.
but bay kept saying later the thick wires snapping la, the bolts and screws loosening up la, this la that la.
*ROARS.

bird's eye view :D

part of the golf course near the sea.

the inside of the capsule looks like that.
just two short row of seats and ample space to walk around.
haha, in the background u can see father poon sitting who claims that his legs go all jelly like if he stands and look down.
in about approximately 30 mins, the poor guy officially parted with $180 ($30 x 6) so we can have this flying exprience of once in a life time (unless you have surplus cash to actually go take the flyer the 2nd or 3rd time).
well, this didnt mark the end of the celebration.
we headed to Thai Village Sharksfin restaurant at Kallang leisure centre.
after hearing so much positive comments from bay, i could hardly wait for the Shark's fin soup.
true enough, that was the first dish to the table and oh my god.
i could like literally see this WHOLE AND GENEROUS PIECE OF SHARKS FIN swimming in my bowl!
-insert scream here-
together with the parsley and bean sprouts, shiokkkkk! :D
there was this salt baked chicken and the brown sauce was oh so gooch.
and i love the fish maw prawns. very unique dish, i dont know if they fried it or what, but i sure never ate fish maw like that before. whack it mang!
oh oh the crab vermicelli was the bomb la! since when did vermicelli taste so bloody appetizing!
i can totally da pao and soot the vermicelli myself, i dont even mind if they dont give me the crab. HAHA :DDDDDDDDD
and not forgetting how we just dig into the durian birthday cake without slicing them into pieces like how decent and civilised people should do.
there's no free meal in the world, theres always a price to pay.
and im sorry to tell u that mother poon has to pay a price of TWO HUNDRED AND SEVENTY SEVEN SING DOLLARS!
i need to faint.
i got a new black polo from Gap, courtesy of bay. :D
the day couldn't have been better.

because the big bay says he miss my writing a little, so im here :)
i no longer have to keep telling big bay "eh i think the tonkichi japanese curry shld be quite nice" cause today yours truly finally gave it a shot!
you should have seen his face (though u most likely cant), how persistent to want to head to tonkichi the 2nd time in 9 days, how it brights up when tonkatsu is mentioned.
silly silly silly.
my hire katsu curry! i pretty much like the taste and thickness of the jap curry, awesome :D
as for the pork fillet, i dont have to say much right.
i only have words of praise for it.
big bay's hire katsu set. obviously, he loves it to the core.

i havent got anything for bay for quite some time.
so meet the latest addition i got for bay's wardrobe.
the polo is from gap and we bought like the purplish pink stripes with the black.
very belly gooch, i love! :DDD
ewwww, i just killed a little cockroach.

Tonkatsu attack!because its the 8th month, which coincidentally happens to be valentine's day, big bay believes we should reward ourselves with something good.
even before the season of collecting ang pows began, we were eyeing these tonkatsu sets at this jap restaurant called Tonkichi.
saw quite a handful of positive reviews on forums, we were all hyped up mang!
today is pretty much our dreams come true, haha.

here's the place! being us conscious singaporeans, we didnt wanna risk being shot dirty looks and mistaken as tourists (big bay has a very multinational face) so we didnt pose outside Tonkichi.
this is the best i can get people.
hmmm, quite a bit of japanese customers dining there.
oh, my Hire & Rosu Katsu Mori!!! :D
Its actually deep fried pork fillet and loin served with vegetables, rice, miso soup and 3 slices of orange.
omg, the tender and smooth pork meat is shiok!
i love the breadcrumbs as well, makes the outside very crispy.
for 21 bucks, i think its actually worth it, my belly was thrice its own size before i stepped into Tonkichi. *beams :)
big bay's Jumbo Katsu!
its deep fried jumbo pork loin with 3 kinds of sauce, vegetables, rice, miso soup and oranges.
the katsudon and miso sauce goes well together. yummilicious! :)
and their vegetable serving is hugeeeeeeeeeeee.
there was this guy who had like 4 servings at least, absolutely crazy.
our lunch chalked up close to 49 bucks and big bay just got poorer by 49 bucks.
HAHAHAH.
thank chew :DDDD
p.s. i wish everyday was vday, haha.

the fellow that invented or came up with the rubiks cube is honestly one smarty pants.
gosh, all that algorithms was so brain wrecking!
i bet you cant get it without the help of dan brown rubiks video. lol :)
but thats not the point now cause fg and i managed to solve our first rubiks cube!
he's gonna reward me with our latest addiciton, a Bo Lo Bun, during the weekend.
awesome oooh la la :)
now we're just going to get faster at solving the damn rubiks cube, it takes alot of practise i know.
but hey, who knows i may do it in less than 20 seconds. hhaha :))))
thanks to the rubiks cube, fg managed to inch one step closer to father teo.
i truly think its a pretty damn good thing.
totally loves it :)
fg, maybe u shld start bringing the rubiks to my house on a regular basis.
on a random note, i signed up for the golden village movie club.
6.50 tuesday movie tickets, here i come!

i finally got a chance to have a quick lunch with boonie. :)
happens to have it at the ngee ann alumni cafe, since it was convenient for both of us.
chicken cutlet, soup and garlic bread for me.
beef horfun, soup, garlic bread and soda lime for her.
we got 20% off the total bill of 15 bucks just by flashing her ngee ann card.
and that woman refuse to let me pay for my meals. AGAIN.
boon u oughta get shot, the next lunch will be on me ah, no excuse!
ohhh boy, we felt so damn bloated and heavy after lunch, we didn't even manage to finish our food!
haha. totally had the urge to just take an afternoon nap, it would be awesome.
on a side note, i'm looking forward to paying a visit to boon's not so new place (well, it used to be new but now that she already stayed there for a few months, its not new) during cny.
i'll ring you up friend so just hang in there! :)
and then it was some mad waiting and rushing of food down to favourite geek before lecture starts.
that pooor boy didn't had anything to eat, must be starving.
lol, me very sorry!
oh, we made homemade fried wantons yesterday!
wrapped with generous amount of minced pork, fried to a golden brown till they're totally crisp.
pretty damn good for us first timers eh? :))))
our bellies were belly moley happy u bet.

okay, i'll leave you guys to drool.

Pre-school Bluesi think the title pretty much explains itself.
and no, dont try to be funny by asking me if i attend preschool.
*rolls eyes.
it feels weird now that i have return back to the 2-to-5 days. i haven't pass the holland v area for somewhile.
the number of students is three times bigger.
the size of the lecture hall is three times larger.
urghhh, i don't exactly like that. ))):
plus i really dislike the new lecture tables, the kind where u have to manually turn out from the side of the individual seats.
they are so small i can barely place 2 A4 paper side by side!
totally irritates the shit out of me.
the lecture content was alittle dry, oh wells, it was macroecons what can i say?
my eyes felt heavy and i think i was dozing off at around the 3 plus mark.
hahha, too used to getting my nice long afternoon naps. :D
and the teabreak food still sucks so bad!
bharana brought back five pack of Lay's tomato tangy for us!
if only they are sold here in singapore, can whack like there's no tml :D
oh food outings with the poons continues tml.
a reason for me to hop, bounce, jump around. LOL.

after days of persistent pestering and nagging, my "governement" has decided to give in by sponsoring some moolah for my new shoes.
when the money was transferred into my account at 1030, i was thrilled :DDD
please don't laugh at me, i can't help it.
i haven't bought any proper shoes (excluding haivainas) in like for more than a year!!!
osh kosh be gosh.
i think i hate being a shoe size 5 1/2.
the pair with the dark and light purple lines only came in 6 1/2. i pretty much fancy it but i guess i just dont have that much luck.
there's this pair with dirty green and beigh lines which caught my eye too but, u know what happens. no size 5 1/2.
oh hell yes, i was disappointed la, duhhhh! ):
plus we walked all of the Star Three Sixty and Limited Ed shops at wheelock, paragon, heeren, peninsula plaza, i swear my legs seems more tired than usual.
star three sixty at raffles city was oh my saviour!
because i finally settled for this love...
well, they feel gooch, they look gooch, what more can i ask for?
in favourite geek's words, i'm one hella happy ball. LOL.
gone are the wet socks, gone are the split bottoms, gone are the walking-on-my-heels.
:DDDDDDDDDD
what better way to end the day with an awesome dinner at ang mo kio with fg's family.
the crabs were oooooh shiok and the deer meet were chewy and tender! :)
favourite geek, please tell your mum she sounds hilarious when she swears knn.

Saturday Sale Feverthis is really the season to be jolly, fa la la la laaaaaa la la la la.
with all that christmas and new year celebrations going on thru decemeber, and then we have all (almost all) of the boutiques and departmental stores slashing prices.
30% la, 50% la. really quite a shiok sight.
not that i shopped like hell, cause hello i don't print money, but yeah i feel better when i see the word 'sale'.
hahhaha, i'm a window shopper.
today all shopping rules were broken.
the favourite geek paid for my esprit black jeans. :)))
at one shot, his bank account was depleted by 62 bucks. awwww.
i mean he's not obliged to pay for it so i felt kinda bad.
but but but i'm loving black jeans, wheee :D
thank chewww fg.
okay, now here comes the tricky part.
to try to convince my very mean mum to sponsor some jeans and tops.
c'mon i think i need to be appreciated more.

stranded and alone is how i'm feeling right now.
i've no idea what i should do or react.
i've no fucking idea who i can turn to make everything good.
whats worse than the person closest to your heart actually avoids you and leaves you to fend for yourself.
i didnt ask for any of this to happen and it's not fucking easy.
