Oklahoma Weather

It's Monday morning at 9:35 a.m. and on a normal day I would not be blogging right now. Oklahoma has done a very poor job of convincing my husband that the weather is desirable here. We awoke very early this morning to the sound of thunder and rain. Initially I was pretty excited because rain means I won't have to water my garden and flower pots tonight. I started getting ready for work and Jeremy left for school. My phone rang and Jeremy advised that I not even think about leaving the house right now due to road flooding. I am starting to wonder what is up with all of these extreme weather situations!!!

In Case You Haven't Heard...Our Family Has Grown!

NO, I'm not pregnant sorry to disappoint anyone. Our new baby French Bulldog Ivan graced our home about 3 weeks ago. He has been the perfect addition to our family and Jean Pierre (his big brother) ADORES him. They have so much fun playing together and exhaust each other by the end of each day. I feel much better knowing Jean Pierre has a friend to play with all day now while we work and school. He is a really great puppy so far and has adapted very well in his new home. Come meet him soon, he is pretty precious!

Our New Home

A few (not so fabulous) pictures of our new home in Edmond. We have a long way to go with the inside interior decorating but we are making progress (slowly). I have finally almost finished our Master Bedroom. I am pretty pleased with the outcome and have my wonderful and talented mother to thank for her sewing and decorating skills. Jean Pierre, our child is pretty happy in his new home too. He is thankful for A LOT more room to run and play. We were a little cramped in our 900 square foot apartment in Nashville. We are pretty excited about owning our very own home! Come see us soon.

Carly Turns 27!

I'm a little behind on my posting so we are going to back track just a few months this time...November 2009 my dear friend Carly (Killgore) Weisgerber turned the OLD age of 27! Leigh Ann and I took her out to dinner (sushi) and for cupcakes at Cuppies and Joe. Here's the fun part...Leigh Ann borrowed a friends herse for us to ride around in. They had all kinds of Halloween costumes in the back so of course, we decided to dress-up! A very memorable night to say the least.

Let's Back-Track a Few Months...

So Long Nashville...
So as Nurse Practitioner school was coming to an end, our lease in Nashville was almost up, and we began thinking about needing a change, I began job hunting back in good ol' Oklahoma. Much to my surprise God had VERY BIG plans in store for Jeremy and me. Long story short (only by the grace of God) Jeremy and I came home one weekend for me to interview with one of the Mercy Health Network Clinics. My deepest desire from day one was to go back to work for Mercy someday if possible. I had such a great experience working for Mercy in the hospital setting I knew that if ever the possibility arose to work for them again, I would jump on it! I met with the most wonderful group of Godly physicians at the Mercy Westbrook Clinic and knew instantly that this was where I belonged. They offered me a position a few short days later that was hard to refuse. Jeremy and I quickly prayed and decided that God was calling us to Oklahoma. We then decided that this might be the perfect opportunity for Jeremy to go back to school and finish what he started at The University of Tennessee. He was accepted to UCO and was very nervous, but extremely excited all at the same time. We decided to come home over July 4th weekend to look into living options. The very first house we looked at has now become our wonderful new home in Edmond. Much to our delight God worked out every detail perfectly and we were able to close on our house just a few days after arriving in Oklahoma. Jeremy has started to school now and made straight A's his very first semester. I couldn't be prouder! I am LOVING my new career as a Family Nurse Practitioner as my practice grows bigger daily. Although each step of the way has had it's challenges, the Lord has been faithful all the way! I am thrilled to be home and LOVE spending time with my family and old (and new) friends.
