Compass Point = the place to meet old frenz??

1st time: Went shopping with sis and i met chee keong (my sec sch fren aka dua kang) and his wife.. Well, he wasn't exactly as high as me when i met him.. But i myself have no idea why i was so excited to see him though.. We were close frenz but as the years goes and we grew older, i wasn't so close to my sec sch frenz...

2nd time: This is the most unexpected.. (ya.. in a bad way.. i wasn't real keen on mtg her.. not when she is the FIRST person to make me swear all the foul language in Hokkien over the phone.. to tink that she used to be my best fren in sec sch.. but after sec sch, we were no longer frenz...) I was shopping for the last SD Gundam (see 孙权 story in the prev entry) when i saw her queuing up outside sakae sushi.. Well.. Past unhappiness aside.. I went up to talk to her.. Well she is pregnant and she stays ard that area now.. Oh great... We are "neighbours" now.. Nice.. but i dun tink i asked for her no. at that time.. Neither did she.. *wink*

3rd time: Dinner treat from me at Soup Restaurant for dad and Shang.. While queuing, i saw Jiawen and her beau.. Hmm.. SO excited to see her.. Haven seen her after graduation from NIE.. Though it was only a brief chat, i was glad to see her there.. She was disappointed that shang wasn't ard.. Hee.. Well, gal, next time ba..

Xmas Present

Finally gave the Xmas present to Shang le.. Tink he like the presents ba though he said it's not something practical.. Hmm.. It's always difficult to buy presents for guys as the stuff they love is always on the more expensive side.. Haha.. Anyway, this is my first time attempt for figurines lor.. So not bad.. At least i managed to finish 3 of them..
The funny thing is, i complained to him that the groin armour for 张飞 and 关羽 keep dropping out.. Hee.. Who knows, i actually put their lower body part the wrong way! Oops.. Hee.. Blur blur me...

After I gave these to Shang, we went ard to buy the rest of the pack.. There are total of 7 figurines with 吕布being the special edition one.. It has got a plane that can fit with some of the heros and the 赤兔马can be transformed into a bike! Cool siah..

The most difficult person to get was 孙权! We went to so many places to find until i finally got it at compass point..

It's quite fun fixing the pieces together.. And we took so many pictures of them.. But I am lazy to put up indivdual shot of them..

Phuket

Finally arrived at the Phuket airport.. Keeping my fingers crossed that the beach is not as bad as Krabi..

We had the half day city tour before checking in the hotel.. The tour guide brought us to a T-shirt wholesaler.. Here, they have a variety of t-shirts that is cheap and nice! 100-200B for the t-shirts.. And Shang had to sign credit here le lor.. Next we went to a pearl factory where they serve free drinks.. Hee.. We asked the tour guide abt the various shows, massage and Muay Thai Boxing.. However, the shows are quite ex.. So we only settled on a massage and the infamous "tiger shows" of Thailand.. These already cost us 1400B le lor.. But luckily the massage i used credit card.. Last stop was a local products shop, the testing of food is quite enough to fill us up.. Haha.. I spent quite a lot here too.. Suddenly i am quite worried that i wont have enough to spend le... Sobbie..

Along the way, we saw lots of shops.. Hmm.. Shopping!! Hee.. We reached Patong Bay Gardens and woohoo!! The room looks good..

After washing up, we went to shop around.. As it rained suddenly, we went to a nearby shopping centre for dinner.. We had Pad Thai, fried rice and tom yam soup here.. The food is good...

Next up is SHOPPING!! At the Jungleceylon, Shang saw a snooker cue which is on sale and he is very tempted to buy.. And on the first day, i already had to borrow money from Shang as i, a big big idiot, didn't bring my ATM card!! ARGH!!

Our Shoppings!!

On the second day, we slept till 9 plus before gg down for breakfast.. Hmm. Buffet bf, not bad.. Then we went for shopping again before going back at 2 plus to wait for the massage ppl to fetch us.. Then we went for foot reflexology and thai massage.. Woooo.. The massage only cost 600B for 2 hrs lor! Cheap cheap and the Thai massage is shiok!! However, i still think that i cant take foot massage.. Esp when she massage my calf and thigh!! ITCHy lor... Hee.. We went for shopping AGAIN.. We dabao a packet of cha mee (which shang was craving for since the beginning of the trip) after which we had dinner at the stretch of seafood restaurants.. But the dinner is quite expensive.. Then we went for tiger show in the evening after dinner.. The tiger show wasn't what i quite expected.. But the show is an eye-opener for us.. The women in the show are quite beautiful..

We found this range of t-shirts (which we bought in S'pore Metro lor, more ex!!) in the shopping centre in Phuket too.

Our second day dinner is at KFC.. Yummy! Even KFC is nice there lor!! Much better than in S'pore..

Day 3 is another day of shopping and more shopping!! Hee.. GUess what, we only used the swimming pool once and walked along the beach for less than 2 hours.. Haha.. Shopping was the main attraction there.. ANd of cuz not to mention the social escorts.. SO many of them there..

I feel more recharged after the trip.. However, of cuz i wished the holiday is longer... Hee...

P.S.: And hor, i tink i put on weight lor!!! Haiz... That's the downside of the holidays.. Haha..

Initially wanted to sing for him on his wedding (since i am the emcee, alongside with my nephew, Wilbert).. But i gave up the idea.. Hee.. In the end, i did a video for him..

Fuss and Hussles..

Amidst all the big big events my school is organising at the end of the year, i manage to get several things done.. The last 2 weeks of school is like a mad rush.. The school is a mad HOUSe! I am still in the midst of collecting forms, report books and all!! I cant believe it.. The reason? Cuz i din even see my form class for the last 2 weeks.. They are either absent, attending courses, rehearsals and all.. Oh my! Really faintz...
Surprisingly we managed to put up 2 good shows for the school.. "Kaleidoscope" (year end concert) AND Awards Night (FYI, ON 2 SEPARATE DAYS!!).
Feedback to P on this, but the reason she give, well, not very convincing but there's nothing much i can say.. At least i said my piece and told her how overwhelmed i felt.. Shang kept asking me to speak up so, finally i tried to la.. I feel that i am beginning to be more forthcoming towards P.. Hee.. I hope she dun black list me, which i doubt she will la..
Now the 1st week of hols, we will be having our SEM (School Excellence Model), Year end reviews, strategic thrusts planning and dept mtgs.. This time round, all these meetings are actually going to be held till next mon!!! ARGH!!! Sickening..
Of all these, the BEST NEWS that i receive is that i will no longer be the National Education Coordinator!!!!!!! Yippeee!!! Haha.. I am darn happy..

And i am looking forward to the holidays with Shang at Phuket!! I will put up the pics after the trip!!

End of year

It has been a long time since i updated my blog.. I am too busy to do so la.. So pardon me k?? I know there has been a big change in my life and i am happy with the change.. Hee hee.. Let's hope for the best~

This is the 7th week and soon the exams are coming next week.. I am keeping my fingers crossed for them.. I hope they will be able to pull up their socks and do their best.. Esp my P5s.. They are darlings but not very hardworking.. I am praying very hard for them..

Hols are coming and I wont be gg to Vn this time round as the air tix are sky high! I check in sep and it's ard 290 plus.. But in the beginning of oct, it shot up to ard 400 bucks! Wah.. VN really hot lor.. So no choice, we have to settle for Phuket... Heard that the beaches are beautiful.. Hmm.. I hope so lor.. Ppl also say Krabi's beach are beautiful.. But that's provided u rent a boat out.. Hee..

Kuantan Trip

This wasn't exactly the trip that i was looking forward to but i had to go cuz i am in the school's staff welfare committee.. Heehee.. Kinda forced to go.. But the resort is not bad though.. Hmm.. But the driver/tourguide is really blur.. First he got lost, then he din book restaurant for dinner.. Haiz.. I really dun know wat to say.. But anyway, i finished marking a stack of compo with joan.. Haha.. Cuz we presume we would be better off at the resort and fortunately we din follow the group as they went on a merry-go-round and none of the itinerary was followed.. Chey!

The BEST gift..

For a teacher, the best gift is not how expensive it is.. It's seeing and knowing that the pupil under you had changed for the better.. THat's the most wonderful gift a teacher can receive and the main reason why i am still in this line..

This year teacher's day, i receive a card from Jaime Ch'ng. She had been in my class since last year.. She had always been a pain in the neck and she is very difficult to handle in the class.. This year, i was so fed up with her till i ended up crying when i am in the staff room.. I felt very helpless.. But i know she is a child who needs help..
Fortunately, i send her for counselling with Michelle.. Mich suspected tat she had very low self-esteem and that's why she reacts that way.. And that was an "ah-ha" moment for me! Esp after i read a book, the case study is simply the case of Jaime!! It was god-sent! It's a wake up call for me.. And luckily, Jaime decided to work hard to be a better person..
Oh.. back to the card she made, she wrote a poem in it..
She dedicated it to a very special teacher (but she spelt my surname wrongly..)

This is a high calling.. But guess i just have to try my best.. Able to change a life, that's not wat everyone can do.. Hee hee..

Teacher's Day

Tmr is Teacher's Day le! Yippee.. Happy not because got presents! It's cuz it's the last day of Term 3!! Yeah!!! 1 week of hols.. Can take a rest.. Really need the break..
There's a lot of things to do for the sep hols.. I really wonder if i've got the time to finish or not.. Hee hee.. If i had known earlier that i will be so busy, i would not have agreed to gg to Kuantan.. Waste of time and money.. Sad.. Haiz..
But on the positive side, at least i can be out of the country la.. Better dun complain..

Hee.. After term 3, term4 will come soon and it'll be the EOY HolS!!

One of the best show i watched this year.. I dun know why.. Maybe it kinda close to my heart.. Of cuz, i think Hokkien songs are real nice, though sometimes i find them quite "song".. Hee hee.. But when Chen Weilian and Liu Lingling sings, i cried.. Esp WL, his voice is filled with emotions and i will get drawn into his voice and really feel darn sad..

I cried so badly when one of the lead actress sang a song to her mum.. I thot of my mum and I just broke down.. Sorry ah, i guessed i wet your sleeves quite badly.. hee hee...

However, there are a few parts where i find it quite exaggerating and non-understandable.. Hmm..

Strawberry Cheesecake!

My 2nd attempt at cheesecake is the Strawberry Cheesecake.. Hmmm.. 卖相不好，但味道不错。 Cuz i poured the jelly portion when it has not totally cooled.. It seeped to the bottom and the cheese floated to the top.. In the end, my straberries were floating all over.. Hee hee..

My sis says it tasted better on the 2nd day.. Sh said ok.. My colleagues are the more encouraging ones.. Sharon, Joan, SW, CH, Maria all said it's nice.. and they say it doesn't look as disgusting as how i described it..

Till next time, i will perfect the Strawberry Cheesecake before trying out other things.. Hee hee..

My Cheesecakes!

SOBBIE! I failed in my first attempt for the Orea Cheesecake! So sad!! Bought the wrong cheese! And thus, it didn't corrugulate.. It's still slumpy after 2 days in the fridge.. Threw it away today.. Haiz..

The crust is very nice.. So i din dump it..

Sh even said it blended in with my table top! ARGH!

But nvm!! I will try again till I succeed! I attempted a second time today.. It's Strawberry Cheesecake! It looks kinda good now!

Sporting week!

Dun know why suddenly dear joan wanted to play badminton? Then in the end, i played badminton with joan and jo for the past 2 days on thurs and fri after school.. As i went to training last sun, my muscles were already aching and after thurs' badminton, my right hand ache even more lor.. Then on fri, KM joined us.. Hee hee.. Luckily i brought my own racket, sch's one is so heavy! We played for ard an hour before gg for yoga!!! WOWO!! Tired sia! Our muscles were already so tensed! The stretching were killing.. Maybe we should play badminton regularly hor..

After bathing in sch, Jo told me that sch's closing soon! EH?? How come??!! Of all days!?? Argh.. Had to walk out to wait for Sh lor cuz it was raining.. Haiz.. But luckily the rain stopped.. Dinner was too FILLING le lor!

After which, we were trying to find our way to OCC from Kovan.. Hmm.. But after this, i tink Sh's trust in my directions will drop again lor.. Haiz... I really didn't mean to let u do U-turn one lor!

OCC is good as there wasn't much ppl there playing pool and no smoking is great! Hee hee.. I tink I played ok la.. At least I managed to get in some balls on my own.. In the end, as the games we played were too slow for Sh, he got too tired! Ha ha.. Sorry la.. I am just a beginner leh..

OLGC Racial Harmony Day

With the last few days of preparing for the wedding gallery and the hyping up of the gals so that they will come, the day finally arrived!
I was very excited abt it coming..
1) I wanna see the reactions when they step into the wedding gallery
2) I wanted to know if this event will be a success and how much we can make for the NE gallery
3) I want to get it over and done with!
Both Mrs Gopal helped me with the Saree.. Seriously, if you think saree is easy to wear, heck! You are wrong lor! It's super difficult to wear but hey, i looked good in it! Hahaha..
As expected, the gals were so queing up for the wedding gallery and they are so willing to pay $3 for the entry.. And i loved it when one of my NE leaders said, it's the best exhibition the school ever put up.. The ppl who came in were impressed and they were so excited to see the wedding pictures of the teachers! Haha.. Their reactions is so interesting.. Wow! Happy.. (And when i shared it with the cluster schools, they were so excited abt the idea. I guess, soon, the cluster schools will have a wedding gallery too for their school events..)

At the end of the event, we went ard to take a look at the stalls put up.. Cuz the poor trs will not have a chance to walk ard cuz we are all busy cropped up at our own stalls.. Sad right? I played the marble games and haha.. I won shang lor.. He didn't even get a single point.. Heee.. Guess he should stick to his cue and play billard la..

Thot my gang wanted to go eat lunch together but in the end, they all went home.. So Shang and me went for a simple lunch (or tea?) at AMK..
