Back from a retreat...

...and it's time to march forward in our work for the Lord!

The whole retreat started with a mess...traffic jams around Sg. Ara.

That means the whole thing starts an hour later.

The worst part of it is that I'm suppose to fetch Rachel and Vivian from USM hostel around 6:45pm. I picked them up at 8:10pm due to traffic jams and other complications.
Man, they have waited for at least 1 hour n 25 minutes !



To Rachel & Vivian : Verily, verily I say unto thee a thousand apology! >.<



On the funny side, I fetch Sin Yee first from Sg. Dua McD before picking up Rachel & Vivian. She too, waited there for quite sometime but then she makan her dinner in McD, so no need to kesian her so much...LOL! She so stress n desperate cuz she is the one who asked Rachel n Vivian to wait for me at 6:45pm. She calls me a few times as I'm on my way to fetch her, everytime oso ask where am I lah...remind me that both of them is waiting for me lah. Out of that many times, there's one when she calls me and..


Sin Yee : Wei! Where are you now? Faster come lah...I waiting outside McD with all my blankets and pillows like I wan to lari from house like that! People all walk pass me also look at me one kind! Faster lah!!


Wah...after hearing that I cannot tahan from laughing already cuz I imagine her, looking like malay, so people probably assume she's a maid from Indonesia who's running away from the master or she runs away from the mental hospital or something as her hair is so messy.

Anyways, I'll try to post more of the retreat as soon as I receive the photos from the retreat. Until then....cya!

Tick tock tick tock....

It’s been over a month since I started working as a temporary assistant in my college’s computer lab. It’s too boring here, so I’ve decided to blog a little about it :P

The time couldn’t be "better" when I punch in for my first day, new computers arrive from KL to replace the old computers in some of the lecturer’s room and the computer labs over here. That means we’ve to carry all those computers around in college, replacing the old computers in the lecture room, which is situated on the 3rd floor and there’s NO elevator! So which to speak that we’ve to carry those computers up the staircase all the way up to the 3rd floor. This is the not so boring stuff as we get to move around.

As soon as we’re done replacing all of the lecturer’s computer (took us like over a week I guess), we’re assigned to jaga the computer labs. Before you say “Wah! So nice, can go online…”, let me tell you that the computer labs doesn’t have internet access, only one specific lab called the Internet Lab have internet access but the speed is on par with the speed of a crawling siput babi (snail). So most of the time, I’m just sitting there waiting for lunch time and to punch out (time to go home...whee!). Basically our job is to keep a record of the student’s attendance for their classes in the lab and also to keep a record of the students who uses the computer to do their assignment. Occasionally we’ll help the students who is pretty much clueless about how to install the pendrive driver (it’s running on Windows 98!) or to print (cuz the printer is really capalang and you can only feed it with 1 paper at a time, and also print one page at a time cuz if your file contains more then 1 page, after printing the 1st page, the 2nd page’s alignment would be out!). Well, I’d prefer to help them rather then just sit down, but the problem is most of them speaks Mandarin to me and I’ve to struggle through the conversation! Even the Indian students here speaks fluent Mandarin (*malu-fied*) and some can even speak Hokkien! Ok lah, enough about this.

This year’s CF is kinda fun for me. Mainly because there’s people I’m familiar with is in the CF (namely, Vincent, Hooi Siang, Sher Anne and occasionally Swee Kit =)) or probably it’s due to the fact that I’m a committee? =P Hehe! I really thank God for putting Hooi Siang (and the rest) in our CF as he’s like the “noisemaker” in the CF! Without him, probably it won’t be that lively already. Anyway, I think I didn’t really played my responsibility that well yet. As I’m the Prayer Coordinator, but yet to start the weekly prayer meeting or “prayer box” thingie where people can pop in what they want us to pray for into the box. Numbers are dropping from the member list, a common sight in our CF =P but still we need to pray about it (note to self). Recently, our CF's topic is regarding "Character and Gifting". The speaker, (whose name I terlupa >.<”), gave us a bunch of questions to answer (a total of 140 questions @.@) in order to find out what primary and secondary temperaments do we possess, such as Sanguine, Choleric, Melancholy and Phlegmatic.

I’ll try to get the questions posted here, or maybe somewhere else so that you guys may try it out too =D but then somehow I think my primary temperament is wrong lah cuz through that test I got Sanguine as my primary and Melancholy as my secondary. I think it should be the other way round or another combination, but then, doing 140 questions at 5pm, it raises a lot of doubts in my ability to process and understand what I read from the questions =P I might do it again when my brain’s tuned to the right frequency hehe!

Luke 12 : 35 - 47

³⁵"Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning, ³⁶like men waiting for their master to return from a wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks they can immediately open the door for him. ³⁷It will be good for those servants whose master finds them watching when he comes. I tell you the truth, he will dress himself to serve, will have them recline at the table and will come and wait on them. ³⁸It will be good for those servants whose master finds them ready, even if he comes in the second or third watch of the night. ³⁹But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into. ⁴⁰You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him."

Actually, my devotion verses for this is from 35-40 but somehow, I read further until verse 47. I believe this is lead by the Holy Spirit as the verses that pry open my eyes because when I read verse 45-47, it certainly rings the alarm inside of me. I've been too careless that our Lord's second coming is near and He'll come when you least expect Him to.

Upon reading that few verses, I'm able to relate myself to the servant who knows (or doesn't know) his master's will but didn't prepare himself. I'm saying this in the sense that I'm taking my life on this earth too casually and am not really grateful that I've been given yet another day to further prepare myself for the Lord's second coming.

With this, some questions pops into my mind.

1. How do we prepare ourself?
2. To what extent is prepare count as prepared?

This devotion have greatly challenged me as I always behave as in verse 45a. Never let our guard down.

monday blues

had a hard time waking up this morning. probably my mind's thinking too much the night before.

sigh....i want more sleep!!

a few things that bothers me...

1. maple is still lagging like snails, hence i can't level up my ol' level 43 wizard. bummer.
2. haven't break out from my dota losing streak. it's been 6 loses so far, i played a round earlier and we're gaining advantage but somehow, the host disconnected. blehhhh!!
3. christine's lappie is still waiting to be cured
4. i haven't watch underworld 2 yet!! argh!!

To the beginning again...

new loop, new looks, new blog, new host, more post...erm...no hope lah!

it's still the same ol' guy who loves to procrastinate. (still trying to make my lazy bum to climb out from that dreaded man-trap)

he's like a football who needs a good kick off to get the game going.
