A Week in the Life: Friday
It's our last day of A Week in the Life! Woo hoo! We made it!
Today was a very laid back day around here. Daddy took the camera to work again today, so I didn't get any pictures until dinner time.
Tru and I first went to the gym, but my workout was curtailed due to a Snack EMERGENCY. SOMEone was starving, so we had to leave early. I had nummies in the car, though, so instead of going home, we went to see our fabulous friends at the park. When we entered the Schindlers' neighborhood, Tru started saying, "Miss JUWEE! MISS JUWEEEEEE!" We got to play with Ms. Julie, Ms. Sarah, Maddie, Will, and Griff. Fun!
After our park date, we headed home for lunch and nap. We spent the afternoon just playing with all the fun toys in the basement and watching Sid the Science Kid. Daddy got home early-ish and brought dinner! WOO HOO!
After dinner, it was time for Truth in the Tinsel.

Day 7
Clue: Mary's Song
We talked about how Mary sang a song after the angel told her she would have a son and would name him Jesus! We blinged out a CD for Mary's music. :)
Time to hang it on the tree
Here are some crafts I have been working on this week:
I'm making shirts for Moo so she can give them to her three little elves...
These are treat bags for Tru's classmates
Tru is now in his room, tucked in, but having a par-tay. Brownie and I are going to put our feet up and watch a movie. Time to relax before a very busy weekend! If you're in O'Fallon this weekend, Come See the Lamb! Sat and Sun night at 7 pm, First Baptist Church O'Fallon!
So endeth our Week in the Life!

A Week in the Life: Thursday
Day 6: Elizabeth's baby leaped in the womb when Mary came to visit! We got to paint that scene for our ornament. :)
Oops...need some water first...
There we go.
Noooow we're cookin'
Pro Bono, by the way. He makes the time...
Aaaand we're finished. You just witnessed a masterpiece in the making.
Time to hang it on the tree!
First: Elizabeth.
Then Mary....comes to visit!
A Week in the Life: Wednesday
Well, it was a bit of a crazy day, as usual!
We'll start it off with some easy trivia to get the old noggin warmed up.
People get PAYED to answer this stuff? This was in last week's lesson at school!
I suppose the next question is what's 2+2? Wait...what's 2+2???
Whew! All this brain exercise...I'm FAMISHED.
That's better.
Oh boy - it's day 5! Looks like the clue...
IS... (oh, the suspense!)
Mary!
Definitely the most popular crafting part of the night: Glitter Glue.

A Week in the Life: Tuesday
It's been an icky kind of day (stupid sinus headache!) so I didn't get a whole lot of pictures... It was a school day for Truie, so I went to the commissary, Walmart, Target, and the vet. I tried to craft but my head hurt too much. I finally had to ask Jason to pick Tru up while I passed out under the influence of Tylenol, Advil, and antihistamine.
I was feeling better by Truth in the Tinsel time so here are some good pictures from Day 4:
Hint: "Angel"
We headed to the crafting center to read the scripture and create our angel:
The angel Gabriel announced to Mary that she would be the mother of God's Son
who would reign forever!
Ready to GO.
What is this thing doing?
Time to hang the angel on the tree
Tru's angel up close
OK - Time for bath...we decided to go with the Rave theme for bath time. Tru loved it!!
Then I headed to church for orchestra practice. Late night tonight! Zzzzzz...

A Week in the Life: Monday
Ugh, Mondays. There is so much housework to be done. We have a hard time getting excited about Monday around here:
But then I reminded Tru we had a Christmas party to attend! Our MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) gals put together a very cute morning of activities.
At the party, Ms Sharon told the children the Christmas story. They all listened nicely except one (give you a hint who THAT was). (He just wanted to play with all the fun Nativity things!) After the story, we put together a picture frame. Our friend Michelle who is a professional photographer was there taking Mommy and Me pics. Maybe we should have dressed better? Oh well! After our picture, we decorated a Christmas cookie and sat at the table big-boy-style to gobble it up. With sugar on board, it was time to get while the gettin' was good and hustle home!
That's when we did the house cleaning. Borrrrrrrrrrrring. After that it was nap time, and both Tru and I slept like rocks.
We had to ease into the afternoon...
Picking out the Number 3 and looking at the clue...
It took all our hands to make the craft, so we weren't taking pictures. Here's a picture of ol' Zechariah as Tru put him on the tree. He has yarn hair, googly eyes, a nose of farfalle pasta, and a mouth of giant bubble wrap. We POPPED the bubble-mouth because Zechariah lost the ability to speak as a result of not believing Gabriel about the baby. Oops! Shoulda listened, Zech!

"Party today?!"

We had to ease into the afternoon...
...by watching our favorite show Sid the Science Kid.
Then it was downstairs for some music time, toy playing, and crafting! Back upstairs to make a yummy dinner of bratwurst stew (made with turkey sausage).
Daddy got home, we ate, we cleaned up the mess, the boys wrassled each other on the couch, and then we did our Truth in the Tinsel lesson. The reading was Luke 1: 9-25. We talked about Zechariah who was visited by the angel Gabriel and told his wife would have a bouncing baby boy...even at her old age!
