Alexa's 7th Birthday

This year we decided to do a party for Jason, Alexa, Katherine and myself instead of just doing separate ones. It was a ton of fun, and everyone we invited showed up so it was really great! Here are a few photos.

I swear, I'm going to have to just make it a goal to update this thing at least once a week so I don't have to do catch up posts.
Here are a few pictures from the rest of our 4th of July celebration, we spent the day over at Dad and Lori's doing a BBQ/Swimming/small fireworks outside.

One of my favorite parts about summer is the Harmons Lagoon day. We've never had season passes to the park before, and the prices are..well, insane to go for just one day; thankfully Jessica or my mom are able to get us a good deal for a day, and who doesn't like free food/drinks for the time you are there?! Kayla was big enough this year to go on a lot of rides, and LOVED them, here are some pictures of the kids playing in the water fountain, and a picture of Alexa and Kayla enjoying the bumper cars.

And to wrap up July! The newest addition to our family is Lady, a 6 month old German Shepherd, she loves the girls, and is a really friendly and lovey dog, she even gets along great with Dice and Luna! (Dice is our friend Maribell's dog, and Luna is Jason sisters Darlene's; they've been over to let the dogs play a couple of times since we got her.) We got her for free from KSL.Com, her previous owners just had twins and didn't have the time for her anymore, so we were happy to take her off their hands.

Finally! We have moved out of our small little apartment, and into a house. The house isn't a mansion or anything, but it sure beats living in that tiny apartment with no back yard.
The only bad things so far: 1-SPIDERS everywhere, the house was vacant for almost a year so they are seriously in every crack and would probably ooze out of the walls if they could. Jason and his step dad are going to do some major cleaning up in the back/front yard this weekend so we can spray along the infected areas a little better, hopefully that will help!
2-There is no vent for the dyer,(sheet rocked over, and missing an elbow to connect to the one outside.) which is actually kind of funny because when we first saw the backyard, I told Jason I wanted to try out a clothes line to go a little green, and well, I guess that really pushed me to do it haha.
So, here is a tour of the new place, excuse the messy yard, we haven't had a chance for a lot of work out there yet, I'll get pictures up this weekend of the new improved look..
Part of the front yard, Alexa was on her bike threatening to run me over, I'll get a better picture this weekend of the full view.

Backyard, that's a Walnut tree, and possibly a Plum tree..nobody can decide for sure, I think it's Apple.
Backyard again
What will be my garden once Jason's step dad takes out the flowers that he wants.
Walnut Tree/mysterious tree again, you can semi see the Grape Vines in this area.
Huge Maple Tree, and a second Walnut tree. (Sorry about the clothesline, they take awhile to dry and I wanted to finish up with the pictures..)

So far the kids have ajdusted really well, Kayla and Alexa have already made friends with the girls next door, and Abbey really likes running around out back.
