Last page for D'lish Scraps

It is with great sadness that I am telling you this is my last post for D'lish Scraps as a designer.
It won't be my last page though as I plan to join in from "the other side" now.

To Amanda Lawrence I want to say thank you so much for having me for 2 years.
Your D'lish products are just fabulous and awesome to work with.
I have loved every minute being a part of you team and you are one unreal boss lady.

And to Amanda Hartmann.
I love all of your work and organisation behind the scenes.
You certainly made my job easier.

And to all of the girls I have designed with, your pages are always inspirational and your talent blows me away.

So thank you to everyone who has come past and looked at my pages.
I hope I have provided you with some inspiration along the way.

This page background is another one of those "scrap" pieces to use up extra paint but one that I thought I would put to good use.
I know I have said it before...a number of times... but D'lish products are so fabulous to be able to just colour co-ordinate and add to a page without all of the fuss of sorting through your stash for something to 'match'.

I adore this pic of my daughter and nephew that I had to turn it into a 'multiple' photo.

I have used some coloured wire to frame my photo and using a paper doily behind it adds another layer.
I have used a "posy" of flowers on the side of my photo and added my fave... a sequin bow.
Included are some other paper flowers, resin flower, flair button, wood veneer heart, journal spots and the family word from a Christmas kit.

See you soon.

Using up scraps

Hello hello.

I am sharing a page today that I created for D'lish Scraps that uses a background that was "created" by using a piece of scrap cardstock that I had used to take the paint off my roller.
Nothing has to go to waste in this craft....
it's just a case of being "creative" with our scraps.

The close ups show the beautiful colours and textures of the D'lish Scraps embellishments.

The D'lish goodies I have used are:

Cool title (JAP kit)

So remember, there is always a way to use up your scraps.

Thanks for stopping in and don't forget to join us with this month's challenges at D'lish if you haven't already.

D'lish March Inspiration Board

Hello March and hello a fabulous new Inspiration Board 'Our Family' at D'lish Scraps.

When I saw the navy, mustard, grey of this board, it felt masculine so I dug through my photos and found this one of my son from his Grade 6 Graduation...the end of his Primary School days
... now he is in Year 12... coming up to the end of his High School Days....

Time goes by so quickly and that's when you appreciate this wonderful hobby of ours.

We can look back at these photos and create memories...
whilst working with mixed media, beautiful papers and embellishments along the way.

And a couple of close ups to show the D'lish texture and colours

On my page I have used:

Wordfetti (Title)

All about Alphas

You realise your life is going quickly when your first born is suddenly in Year 12.
Almost an adult.
I remember this little baby, this little boy, now I look at this young man.

I have soooooo many alphas.  So this page was All About Alphas.
Perfect challenge for The Scrap Suite.
I hope you can join us. Maybe you too can use up some of those hundreds of alphas...lol.

Although the page highlights the alphas as a title and journaling, I have used many D'lish goodies on my page.

Make sure you check out the other girls fabulous challenges this month too.

More D'lsih Goodness

Today I am sharing a page for D'lish Scraps that was really just a spur of the moment creation.
I was sorting through papers to see what I would use and I came across some A4 size book paper.
I also had my photos spread across the desk and saw these pics and because they were tiny, knew they were perfect.
From there it began.
And it ended by using more gorgeous D'lish Scraps products.

I used glimmer mist in the background (yes, I still have HEAPS of that stuff).
I used some ink to dye one of the paper doilies to blend with the off white of the paper.
I used an old clothes tag and then added the sequin bow and the title So Cute using word pieces.
The other embellishments I used were a paper flower, little roses, coloured wire which I shaped into a heart, more word pieces from a JAP kit, wood veneer heart and then some yellow velllum butterflies.

I love how the close up shows you every sequin on that bow.

So sometimes you don't need a piece of 12x12 paper and a 6x4 photo.
Just use anything that jumps out at you.

February Already?

So it's now February.
Did we blink and miss all of January?

The kids are back at school.
Yay.
As much as we had a lovely break, routine, routine, routine.
Yes, it's back.  I feel so much more organised.

So much so that I sat down after morning drop off and literally "threw" this together.
My mojo is missing so it was a great start to find some inspiration and hopefully make more time to scrap again.
With D'lish pieces, it is so easy to create a page as fast or as slow as you want.
This paper already had my background so all I had to do was co-ordinate my pieces to highlight my photo.

A lot of the pieces tend to come from the Just Add Paper Kits but eventually end up with my mixed D'lish pieces that I have colour co-ordinated in individual snap lock bags. It makes it so much easier to reach for the colour you are after.

So a new month, a new set of challenges over at D'lish so make sure you find some time to join us.  We would love to see what you create.

Gold and Silver

Gold & Silver.

I am loving it at the moment and my inspiration is coming from the

If you have not created using this board yet, definitely put it on your list to use next.

I created my page using mostly pieces from this months
Just Add Paper Kit - New Beginnings
The gold flowers are divine and add a touch of
silver in the leaves
silver paper doily which I cut in half to use both sides along the edge of my photo,
string from the kit,
and lastly some resin flowers and a glittery silver heart from a previous kit.

So maybe I have inspired you to use some silver and gold now?

January Inspiration Board at D'lish Scraps

Have you seen the gorgeous January Inspiration Board at The Scrap Suite?
It is just divine.
I immediately wanted to create a page using a black background
and then it had to have lots of gold and silver and sparkle...
So that was my inspiration and starting point.

I have used a photo of one of my boys and myself taken a few years ago now.
I really wanted to capture us so I kept the page pretty simple and used the gold frame to highlight the pic.

And my close up shows the texture and sparkle of the D'lish embellies.I also used part of a Christmas card in the background which was black and gold.

I have included:
Glitter heart (from a Just Add Paper Kit)

I would love to see you play along with this board.
