Wee! today's dinner! Fried noodle.. Ingredients are.. Noodles -.-!!! eggs.. carrots.. fish cakes.. crab sticks.. bean sprout.. vegetables oyster sauce.. and most importantly.. Canadian pizza's dried chillies.. muahaha! we fully utilize whatever is in the fridge..

Expenses for the month of July = AUD1000.30.. that's only 3weeks?! -.-!!!

Should I go home during the summer vacation?! 25Nov2006 to 25Feb2007!

But! I've to continue paying rent for that 3months.. which is AUD585 X 3 = AUD1745.. pay internet AUD10 X 3 = AUD30.. Buy another new air tix.. not sure of the price yet.. but i'm getting from here a 3mths ticket which is definately cheaper..

good thing is that I get to go home for new year and meet more people.. rather than that amount can only let my aunt and pig come over to meet me and the day tours.. that doesn't include the accomodation and expenses.. If not going home.. i must find a work.. =x and rot for 3mths! and it's very hot! -.-!!! how how how?!

Now i'm thinking of breaking bond which is AUD900 gone.. and find a much more cheaper housing.. thinking twice my currently housing is quite expensive! of coz the new housing bond will be 6mths kind and start from Feb.. which i get to save on the 3months rents and internet and living expenses if i'm going home.. the only thing if i were to change housing is that i gotta pay own bills about AUD50/3mths and internet about AUD35/mth if split by 2.. and oso include in travelling.. but after much calculation.. i'm still saving $ !!

Weee!!! Went town with Sughim to get her heater today.. AUD59 for a small oscillating heater.. so ex xia.. winter only left 1mth!? and i get to see buy 1 get 1 free promo for pc games!! so end up i bought The Sims Deluxe becoz need a starter cd in order to play expansion pack.. and buy The Sims Making Magic and get The Sims Hot Date free.. Total of AUD46.90 damage done to wallet!!! Hmmz.. at least this should be able to entertain me for quite some time.. better than spending AUD59.95 for Charmed 7th Season DVD =x haha.. "best" of all.. the games are made in singapore loh!!! -.-!!!

Weee! today i got my 1st exam question from the lecturer.. yes! the exact question will be out during exam week.. so i gotta ask and ask and ask till i get the best answer.. memorize it and re-write out on exam day.. it's only 15marks loh.. and it's quite a difficult question?! -.-!!!

Wahah! Every thursday i only got 1 hour lecture! 8am to 9am!!! lolx..so i end school at 9am.. shiok hor? come home sleep till noon.. =x but i very guai hor! i never waste my time.. at least i complete about 80% of my lab report that's to be handed in 1 month later.. haha! here homework due date is 1month later de.. so funny.. Today early morning on the way to school get to see hot air balloon in the sky.. i think quite expensive.. that's one of the tourists attraction thingy here.. "Morning Sunrise Balloon".. but it's very cool leh.. so high up there.. the scenery must be very nice.. i wanna try that 1 day.. haha!

Wah seh!!! Today i got the shock of my life! The technologies here isn't that advance loh!!! Teaching system here really sux! I've my first pract lesson here today.. and guess what?! we're being split into groups and taught by demostrators that are PhD student.. -.-!!! the lecturer never teach 1.. and we don't really get hands on during the practical.. most of the time following the demostrator around and see -.-!!! that's really boring! i think only 5% of the 4hrs practical have hands on chance.. luckily i have enough of it while working.. quite ok.. i think SG really stuff in lots of knowlegde at young age.. the Yr3 degree student don't really know stuff that we already know at Yr3 poly.. example the use of centrifuge! -.-!!! tonite's dinner! Maggi mee! lazy to cook.. lesson end at 6pm.. tired lah!!!

Somehow girls in my hostel here are quite strong?! the bathroom sliding door has been uprooted!!! fainted..

2nd day of school!!! Hmmz.. today attended a very interesting lecture.. the lecturer actually give out the exact exam questions for us to do first.. pro huh?! i must aim H1 (Honours 1st class) mark which is 80 and above marks for this module.. haha!! alot journal papers to read.. and got to do group work with people we don't know! can't choose our group members loh! -.-!!! Uni and poly life is very different?! very indepedent style.. all have to be self motivated.. or is it Melbourne teaching system and Singapore teaching system differ?

Weee! First day of school! Hmmz.. somehow my lectures only allows me to run 2 places.. no fun! =X first lesson never really teach.. just brief intro on the topics and guidelines.. quite bored.. most of the stuff already learn b4.. but oso return back to poly teacher already lah.. =X at least working experiences help becoz i've already done those things!! 4days of 8am lesson! aiyo!!! need to sleep early everyday.. sianz.. gd nite!

Ohh.. tomorrow starting school loh! haikx haikx!!! haha.. today stay at home whole day.. partly to settle the internet stuff.. and it's raining heavily today.. also partly to prepare for school.. grrr! start lesson at 8am loh!! means 6.30am i need to wake up!!! alamak!!! tonite's dinner.. fried rice! haha.. taste quite ok lah.. also cooked more rice for tomorrow's lunch.. since the school have lots of microwaves for use.. i'm turning vegetarian soon.. everyday eat vegetables.. going to buy some chicken wings and drumsticks.. =x funny thing is that the breast meat here are more ex than wings and drumsticks loh.. haha.. yoohoo! i've got a question to aSk.. how to marinate the chicken wings and drumsticks arh? haha.. =x today one of the housemates oven her chicken wings and drumsticks.. smell so nice loh!!! *drools!* haiya! time to sleep loh.. good nite!

Hmmz.. days here are getting bored!!! Today went Victoria Street with XN and her friends to see see look look.. that street is more of asian stuff.. groceries there quite cheap.. we took illegal tram rides to Victoria Street.. meaning never pay tram fare.. =X shops close early everyday.. so after awhile we took tram back to the city.. walked around and then went to "Menya Noodles" to eat japanese curry katsu don for dinner..

Accomodation

Bad but no choice.. although building looks nice but inside cannot make it!!! Want cheap so have to squeeze in small room.. and share kitchen and toilet.. if not pay more $ to stay single room.. or pay even more $ to get ur own toilet and kitchen!!!

Food

Ex!!! alot of asian food but ex lah.. go Vic market buy back cheaper loh.. haha.. stock up maggi mee even more cheaper.. =X muahaha!!!

Weather

Cool and cold.. and sun is so bright loh.. even wear sunglasses oso no use.. but shiok lah! everyday dun feel like waking up.. Sky turn darks at 5pm.. sianzation..

Travel

Tram and train rides are expensive.. except for Sunday.. so have to walk long long long distance!!!

Uni Melbourne

Very old!!! 150++ years of history.. Quite big at first.. but getting smaller as I get to know my ways better here.. Buildings are old antique victorian kind..

Shoppings

Very expensive loh!!! even sales is expensive.. have to wait till big big sales then can buy! Lots of "This Fashion" look alike shop here.. but the price is ex! and their clothings looks the same in every store.. Shops closes at 5pm! -.-!!!

Sightseeing

Nothing much.. unless go out of the city.. which is into the suburb.. those in the city need $.. -.-!!

It’s Wednesday!!! Tomorrow that housemate, whom is in charge of shared internet, will be back and I’ll get my internet connection!!! I hope so.. haha.. today as usual.. went to attend orientation a few talks.. first is something on “Libraries”.. unimelb have lots of libraries and it’s very old kind of library! Like those only get to see in tv where shelves are all closely packed.. if want to search a particular row of shelves will have to first unwind the handle so that the shelves shift to a side and open up a small space.. seriously antique!!! If I’ve the time I’ll go take photo.. haha! Never bring camera go out today.. other talks like “Transition for international students” are quite crappy.. waste my time! Haha.. =X around the evening.. went for “Bush Dance” becoz got free dinner!!! Haha.. it’s something like mass dance thing.. for knowing for people lah.. but I think quite stupid also.. didn’t really get to know friends lah.. becoz while dancing those steps will also get to keep changing partners.. can’t even have a proper talk or what.. and that lasted for 2hrs loh!!! Starting quite fun lah.. but too long already.. End up quite bored by that.. within that 2hrs I get to hold hands with guys and gals from Singapore.. Korea.. Malaysia.. Hong kong.. China.. Indonesia.. India.. Sri langka.. UK.. France.. USA.. etc.. but afterall only get to know a gal from Hong kong and exchanged MSN.. hmmz.. at last today I get to eat rice!!! Haha.. dinner was Japanese bento set.. and it’s very filling!!! Finally I feel full after a meal.. haha.. I’ve quite a big appetite lah.. suddenly ask me to cut down it’s quite difficult you know.. =X

It’s Thurdays! Went for 2 talks in the morning! “Academic study skills for transfer students” and “Getting most out of lectures”.. Both talks are about crapz! Haha!! =X after that.. Bernice, a junior from NYP, her parents is leaving so they are going to treat us all to an Indonesian restaurant for lunch.. large servings! And I think it cost them at least AUD80.. haha.. then me and XN went on to shop!!! Kekez.. bought a 3/4 pants at AUD39.. =X then walk walk walk.. look around the Melbourne Aquarium.. never go cause need to pay AUD15.. haha.. then continue walking to CROWN!! Yes! The Casino! Haha.. here the age limit is only 18 loh!!! But still we got checked.. -.-!!! hmmz.. within 3mins.. I lost my AUD5 -.-!!! haha.. was playing this 2cents jackpot.. from the horoscope point of view.. Gemini, which is XN, should be bringing luck to me!! But somehow it didn’t!!! -.-!! haha.. then had my dinner in Casino.. Buy 1 get 1 free promotion.. So it only cost me AUD2.75 for the meal.. very full!! After that.. near 7pm.. went out to wait for the Fire display.. Wow weee! So hot.. but luckily it’s winter.. XN view that during summer.. so it’s quite like roasting pig.. quite nice.. haha.. after that went into Crown again to have a drink of BOOST.. something like Smoothie.. AUD5.50 for quite a big cup.. end up I’m so bloated!!! Ordered Mango Tango .. consist of passion fruit and mango.. but the passion fruits never remove seeds.. so now i got to brush my teeth extra long to remove.. -.-!!! Then near 8pm leave Crown and go home.. on the way watch a little of the Fire display from far.. bad thing about meeting XN is that I got to walk home alone!!! And I walked 5 streets?! I think it’s the distance from Bishan mrt to YCK mrt..

I'm at XN house here using comp but no one online!!! only AP Na.. -.-!!! went walking around in town before coming here.. there's this "MYER" which is like "OG" in singapore.. but!!! it's darn high class kind.. not like OG so aunty lah.. =x everything in there is ex ex ex ex ex loh!!! price tags are like AUD500 to AUD1000?! fainted leh!!! and that's SALES PRICE!!! i'm like Shan Cai going to shop in those ex departmental store liddat.. all available stock out on display and there's a sign board AUD800 -.-!!! not scare people steal liddat wor.. seriously fainting wor..

today morning went exploring the surrounding.. finally figured out the right way to Queen Vic Market.. bought quite alot of groceries and then back home.. in the noon continue my enrolment stuff and finally! i'm offically enrolled!!! the student card is so lousy loh! just a piece of paper that's laminated.. -.-!!! cheapskate leh!!! oh ya! my timetable i've already planned.. Semester2 is quite busy.. everyday start lesson at 8am loh!!! grrr!!! such a nice weather and have to wake so early!!! Semester1 is darn slack loh!!! only need to study till 1pm everyday except for tuesday!

Rainy day!!! Argh!! Can’t go far places.. so we went Lygon street to see see look look.. Hmmz! Did alittle shopping there.. kekez.. bought a handbag from Nine West!!! And best thing is it’s actually AUD109 discount to AUD29!!! Muahaha!!! *gRinz* the FCUK here is cheap!? Compared to SG.. but still ex lah.. sad to say Esprit is still the same price.. the books here are of reasonable price.. and!!! I saw “Charmed” full 7th season DVD!!! AUD49.95! Grrr!! Haha!!! I never buy lah! No worries mama! =X maybe when I’m too bored then will buy lah.. Had a cup of drink at “Gloria Jean Cafe”.. Not bad lah.. next went to “Safeway” to grab some more groceries.. then off home!! Didn’t get to shop in “Country Road”.. it’s a Aust brand so I wonder cheap or not.. haha.. Tonite’s dinner Sphagetti!!

It’s Sunday!!! Kekez.. The transport system here is quite weird.. Sunday is the best to explore Melbourne becoz just pay AUD2.50 and can take Trams.. Trains.. and Bus for unlimited times.. so we took the travel guide and map and venture our way to Camberwell Station for the Sunday Market.. budden leh!!! It’s only open till 1pm!!! WTH!!! Grrr!!! Then never loh.. next destination.. Box Hill station.. hmmz.. nothing much there lah.. just a mini mall.. but I bought a Giodarno black knitted poncho there!! It’s only AUD10 loh!!! Haha.. =X There’s a “Reject Shop” there.. stuff there are quite cheap.. but mostly “Made in China”.. -.-!!! bought hair clips and those brush combs becoz it’s cheaper than SG!!! Haha.. and a big bottle of dunoe-wat-brand shampoo at AUD2 nia!!! Other stuff like luggage tags and strap for AUD2 oso!!! Haha.. 3rd destination Prahran station.. hmmz.. more of a antique street.. There’s a Chapel Bazaar but it’s all 2nd hand items from 60s to 90s.. nothing much to see.. after that go home loh!! Lost our ways while taking tram back.. haha.. took the wrong trams.. going further away from home.. haha.. Trams system here are so darn messy!!! -.-!!! but luckily we still can figure our way back home lah.. that’s all loh.. later going Safeway! Night bargains.. heard that they have discount after 10pm.. =X Singaporeans are all showing their ultimate Kiasu skill here.. haha!!!

----- Day 7 -----

Orientation starts today!!! 6days of orientation!!! That’s very long loh.. but! It’s up to us to go or not.. today definitely a day that’s going be in my memory forever.. “The-kiasu-thick-skin-day”!!! fainted leh.. getting free candy floss.. lollipops.. cup instant pasta and play stupid games as long as there’s free stuff.. the worst is getting free sausages wrap from Unilodge (a student accommodation) open house!!! Alamak!! Can’t imagine that I’m so thick skin loh.. -.-!!! after that went to 2nd session of the orientation to select subjects to take for my degree.. aiyo!!! Headache arh!!! So hard to choose loh!!! All subjects I like is those darn hard kind loh.. -.-!!! now having a big headache to plan timetable.. tomorrow need to finalise my subjects liao.. sianzation!!! Dinner for tonite! KFC?! Subway?! Maggi Mee?! Still thinking.. haha..

----- Day 1 -----

Yoohoo!!! Yoohoo!!! First blog post from Melbourne!!! Kekez!!! Hmmz.. My story starts from th moment I enter the custom.. gotta run all the all to gate F34 becoz it’s “LAST CALL”.. fainted!!! For the first time “LAST CALL” and I’m not at the waiting lounge.. Board the plane, keep those handcarries on compartment and ready to take off!!! Flight delayed becoz someone wasn’t on board.. so gotta fish out his luggage.. grrr!!! 6.5hrs turbulence flight!! Weather condition wasn’t that good.. -.-!!! Didn’t sleep throughout the flight.. Was busy watching movies “Nanny Mcphee” and “The Shopaholics” .. and also playing Super Mario!!! The meal served onboard not so nice.. -.-!!! a stewardess serving us so good.. She gave us Spongeboob Square Pants bedroom slippers.. So cute! That was supposedly for kids.. =x

----- 6.5hrs later -----

Plane landed.. Collected luggages and proceed on to declare items.. Fast and simple process.. and the lady at the check point was very friendly.. Met up with TOGOTO which will drive us to our lodgings.. Peter, CMC landlord, was waiting for us at the door.. Check-in and brief us on the rules.. later bring us to our room!! Victorian style house.. but he clever separate into many small rooms.. like that can earn a lot of $$.. Hmmz.. not as small as we thought of.. *phew* quite spacious.. bad thing is that it’s near the door.. so whoever walk in and out will create a lot of noise from the door and their foot steps.. -.-!! also the toilet and kitchen is upstairs.. so got to climb up and down which now makes me don’t want to stay in those land property in future!!! Haha!! School is directly opposite loh!!! but!!! The building for science still need to walk a short distance lah.. haha..

----- after unpacking -----

Met up wif XN and off we go exploring the place.. 1st to Dominoes to eat lunch.. then walked to town which the distance is something like walking from AMK to YCK.. good for exercise! Bought Optus Prepaid sim card at 7-11.. AUD30!!! -.-!!! next walked to Queen Victoria Market which is their wet market.. cheap groceries there.. Dinner maggi mee!!!

----- Day 2 -----

Went town to get some necessaries stuff.. Side track to Optus dealer shop to check out my sim card problem.. grr!! So sway! But leh.. got ask like no ask loh.. end up oso have to go back to the 7-11 store where I bought the sim card.. -.-!!! XN brought us to Chinatown where there’s 2 asian mini supermarket.. and cheap IDD cards.. I bought a box of 20packets of Nongsim maggi mee!! The others bought quilt coz the blanket brought over wasn’t that good.. Dinner pasta with flavouring from maggi mee!!! =X

----- Day 3 -----

Free and easy day.. early morning went school for reporting and oso pre-orientation briefing.. then went walking around the school exploring and taking photos.. very nice architecture!!! Very Victorian style.. Went town again.. haha.. no place to go lah.. really quite boring place here.. maybe I haven’t find out where is the nice nice shopping mall.. today I bought quilt too! Too cold.. the room heater like no use.. -.-!!! went home to keep my stuff and after that we trying to figure out the way to Queen Victoria Market ourselves but! We’re lost! Haha.. but luckily we still made it in time to grab some groceries as it closes at 2pm every Thursday.. after that went to take a look at “Rooms” which we almost choose that as our accommodation.. luckily we didn’t!!! haha!!! So far from school loh!!! home to keep in fridge and off to Yasmin’s place to cook dinner!!! Tomyam beehoon wif some veggies..

----- Day 4 -----

Free and easy again.. Cooked Campbell soup with toasted breads for Brunch.. then went asking housemate about internet connection stuff.. it’s quite messy thing to get internet here.. grrr!! So there’s still some time I can’t online loh!!! In the noon went to town to buy some more necessaries stuff.. haha.. everyday “da bao xiao bao”.. =x nothing loh!! Tonite’s dinner.. Nongsim maggi mee wif some extras ingredient! Haha!!! Everyday maggi mee.. =x

Today early morning went to eat Bah Ku Teh! and then remove stitches! after that settle some msn stuff for my mum and aunt.. teach them how to msn and web cam.. wahaha! they're gonna msn! so pro modern aunties arh! =x anyway they oso will be reading my blog for updates.. so dun anyhow tag! haha! =xXx after that took an express bus from Tampines to town.. hmmz.. shop a little.. coz my mum keep pulling me off!!! haha.. scare i buy things.. only managed to get a white babydoll dress.. ok i look pregnant in it.. -.-!!! grrr! but i'm bringing it to Melbourne! =x lolx! bought a set of rechargable batt and lip balm.. nothing loh! ate Pepper lunch for lunch.. haha.. i'll never go again! really will smelly smelly after that.. small servings and not nice loh.. have to stir till the hot plate cool down.. which i only stirr till my beef were cooked.. so end up my rice chao ta! -.-!!! overall it's more of buttery taste than pepper?! i suppose "Pepper" lunch.. after that back home and packing stuff again.. now my room seems kinda neat?! becoz most of the items have been thrown away or packed nicely in cupboards.. kekez.. now is the best time to visit my room! =x doing a very thick masque now.. haha.. trying to finish it b4 i fly.. kekez.. Flying in less than 45hrs time loh!

do i look like a patient after wisdom tooth extraction? NO!!! i'm having a big feast now loh!! 3 bowls of sharkfins.. 2 sticks of hotdogs waffel.. 1 box of takopachi.. 1 box of jap pizza.. and 1 subway!!! haha!!! =x

Darn wisdom tooth!!! grrr!! dun ever mess wif it.. now i noe y it's better to extract even though nothing happen.. once it's infected will OMG man! can't even sleep properly.. today went for the extraction surgery.. will heart attack xia.. b4 that have to take antibiotics pills.. pain killer pills.. and anti-swollen pills.. so while waiting for the pills to take effect the dentist help me clean my teeth.. liewz! painful loh! then i start to panic liao.. see the needle i fainted! haha.. so long loh.. normal dosage is 2 tubes of anesthetics per tooth.. i used 4 tubes for bottom tooth.. and 2.5 tubes for top tooth.. so pro.. so it's darn numb.. haha.. then i see the dentist take the tool and start extraction.. woo wee!!! live show of the movie "human char siew bao".. darn! pull until so fierce leh.. and i still can see him stitch up the wound.. haha.. 3 stitches!! =x so now my face 1 side swollen 1 side not swollen.. fainted!! budden not pain lah.. too high dosage of anesthetics.. but even the anesthetics effect gone le oso quite ok.. just that can't eat hard food.. maybe the pain killer too strong?! actually wanna go shopping after the surgery.. who noes so swollen.. so sad cannot chop my aunt's carrot head.. =x muahaha! come back tired.. finally get to sleep soundly.. but for awhile nia lah.. now got lots of pills to take -.-!!!

Booked tues slot to extract wisdom tooth! aiyo! spoil all my plans.. cannot go out eat and play.. grr.. last minute gimme such crapz.. went Sisi house today! 1st time go.. indeed her house is really clean.. haha.. and big oso lah.. but hor i don't understand y HDB rooms all so small de.. then the living so big.. this trip cost me SGD501! Gonez! haha.. Personal oversea LV shopper.. and no one will believe that she's a stewardess! eat non-stop wor! totally not scare out of shape! supposedly she's taking those tibits from all over the countries to let us try.. end up she's the one eating.. -.-?! kekez..
