Time to GUSH more about the amazing family vacation. We started off in Idaho after a night stay at a casino hotel. This leg of the trip we went through Yellowstone National Park and ending in Montana for the night. Not exactly a direct rout to Canada,  but it made for an adventure of a day.

We stopped in Yellowstone National Park to take in several of the different gysers and the show stopper itself Old Faithful.

We stopped and played in the river a bit. I was concerned that Chloe would go in to far so out came the really scarry warnings from both Jared and I. Yes. We have scared her from every thinking about swimming in a river. I am pretty sure I made her cry.

We saw a veriaty of wild life, a bison was right outstide our car as we crawled along with traffic on our way out of  the park. Very neat to see!

Tribute to the BEST road trip our family has taken to date! (7/13)

Katrina,  Chloe and Jared, first pit stop

This Summer we took the best road trip I have personally ever been on. Here are some pictures from our first stop as we speed away from the blazing Arizona heat.

Yes, that is a jewel on Chloe's head. We are not sure why she put it there, non the less it made for some memorable pictures.

We stopped at the bridge and got to hear some wild tales from Jareds' single days and road trips he took. Stretched our legs and took some fun pictures.

AZ

My goal for this drive was to not fall asleep. I ALWAYS sleep in the car. I have been conditioned from early childhood to sleep on road trips. Day one was a success at not sleeping... however I can not vouch for the rest of the trip:/

Looking back at this trip is so great for me. I knew I loved my family before but because of this trip we have become a closer family with great memories that we will talk about for years and years to come.

I am so grateful for the hours and hours Jared drove. Seriously he is a rock star! As always we are able to do great stuff like this because Chloe is a seasoned traveler. OK so she did also have an iPad. I made sure to break it up tho. I read Levan Thumps and the gateway to Foo so that her brain would not turn to mush, with her eyes shriveling up and drying out from the constant screen time. By the end of the trip I was horse. I would do it again.

Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs was AWESOME!

We got to go and see our nieces baptism in July. The best part was we were able to visit not only Josh and Chelsea but also stay with Kathy and Steve.

We went to the north pole amusement park, the zoo, Breckenridge, the top of pikes peek and had so much fun and good times with our family.

After 10 strait weeks of anatomy and physiology 201 and 202 I was ready for the much needed break!

Calgary 2012

We escaped the heat! We ran away to Calgary for the week and celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Calgary Stampede and the birthday of Grandad Wright.

We had a fun filled jam packed week filled with fun and great memories.

We took in the science center, the Zoo, The Calgary Stampede, The Royal Tyrrell Museum, Banff national park and time with the cousins.

The whole trip was crazy busy but a great way to spend time with family!

Happy 4th of July!!

We celebrated by going to the D-Backs game last night.

It was not Chloe's first game but she was not the biggest fan either, She thought she was going to a basketball or football(soccer) game. So luckily Nana had a bag of treats to entertain her.

Today we are having a fun day swimming and then fireworks tonight. We are crossing our fingers for good weather this year because last year the fireworks did not happen because of wind issues.

I am so grateful for my family and all we are blessed with!!

Thingers and Fumbs

Just wanted to take a moment to remember some of the sweet things that happened this week.

On Friday the 15th Chloe remembered it was my Birthday. She ran in gave me the biggest hug and kiss while I was getting ready and then asked " Mom did you like your present?"

Later that day as we drove home from the Science Center I asked her what her favorite part of the day was and she replied "spending the day with you Mom!"

Chloes' Sayings:
