It was Alayna's 1st birthday today. Wow how time flies! When she woke up this morning her sister and brother were begging that she opened her presents. We were not going to have her party until that night because daddy was going to play at the sand dunes for the afternoon. So after a lot of begging we opened her presents. Mom did not get the camera out....oops. Later that evening we had dinner then broke out her first cake!! It is a tradition to let the kids have their own cake on their birthdays and dig in!! Mouth, fingers and all! No forks allowed!!! Alayna LOVED IT!!! She has a bit of a sweet tooth, so she was not shy at all to dig in and get messy. YUM!!!
We got some pictures of her new toys. This is her new baby. She loves dolls! Unlike Keanna she never liked dolls. So thank you Grandma Camille for the baby, she loved it!!! As soon as she opened it, she gave her a big hug. Keanna and Kade gave her a toy cell phoe and keys. I don't know what is is about those things but don't babies love cell phones and keys! Mom and Dad gave her a ball that bounces and vibrates when you push the buttons. We love our little Laney Bug she keeps us all on our toes and she is one busy little girl. She has walking mastered, as of a couple of weeks ago. We also put the gate away for the stairway she cruises up and down all day long. She loves to give kisses, with mouth wide open and slobber everywhere but we still love to get them, just be prepred to get wet!! She can say mama, dada, and baby. She points at everything. It is her way of communicating. If she pionts at it it means give it to me or I want to go there! She has very little patinence but she might of gotten that from her mom. I am not sure what do you think? We love you Laney Bug and Happy Birthday!!!!!
Thank you to Shanna for taking such great fun pictures! I posted her site under my favorites because she is really so talented you have to check it out!! Thanks Shanna you are great!!!
We took a trip to Florida last week with Keanna, Kade and Jarad's parents Randy and Rosemary. We left Alayna with aunt Bridget, aunt Darla and aunt Michelle. Thank you so much for helping us out! We had so much fun! We went to all four parks in a week and we were amazed how big each one was you could defintly spend 2 weeks down there! We went to Magic Kingdom 3 days and the others just one day each. It was a fun, busy, a lot of walking, and magical filled trip! We hope the kids will remember it for a long time! Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for coming. We had so much fun spending time with you!! Here are some pictures if our trip.
MAGIC KINGDOM
They draped these icicle lights all over the the castle one night and it was really beautiful! We ate lunch at the Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom the first day. The kids got to meet all of the Winnie the Pooh characters. Kade really loved them. I was quit surprised he did because he hates costumes of any kind and is usually really shy but he sure loved them all the first day! Just notice he wasn't in any more pictures with any more characters. The rest of the trip he would not get close to them! It was so funny. Keanna and her grandpa on the buzz lightyear ride.
Splash Mountain was the biggest hit with Kade! He loved every minute of it. We probably rode it ten times! We kinda had to sneak him on it the first day because he was to short by 2 inches, the very last time we rode it he got all the way up to get on the ride and they kicked him off:( He was a kickin and screamin! He was very sad he could not go. So the next day his dad came up with the idea to put a balled up sock under his heel in his shoe. It gave him just enough height to enjoy Splash Mountain the next day:) The after math!! We did have to get a little wet to have fun I guess. Keanna was very adamant the whole trip to get every characters autograph. She was really excited to meet the princesses of course. We did wait in a few long lines to get it done but the smiles were well worth it!
Disney Hollywood Studios
This was a very crowded day! It was Veterans day and man there were a lot of people there. We didn't get to go on the new Toy story ride because the line was always 09 minutes long and all the fast passes were gone before we got to them. We did go on tower of terror and the Rockin Roller Coaster, which were very fun! Keanna went on the tower of terror and lets just say she was TERRIFIED!! We thought she could handle it but a apparently not! She was pretty shaken up. We also watched the Beauty and the Beast show, it was awesome. It was a fun day, just lots and lots of people.
We were chosen to be the "family" of the Play House Disney Show. We got a certificate and got to sit in the very front. Keanna thought is was pretty fun to be the "family of the show" but all we did was go in front of everyone in line and sit in the front. She thought she was going to get to go on stage. :(
Our little crew is living in Spanish Fork for the time being. We have grown to like it out here and have come a little more accustom to the whole wind issue :) Jarad works as the marketing director for EWI and also runs his own marketing company on the side. I am a stay at home mom with our 3 little rascels! They keep us busy for sure. We love to spend time outdoors as a family and travel. We are just enjoying our sweet happy life!
