Our family recently went to the new Children's Museum in Jackson, MS. It is big and has lots of great interactive exhibits for kids of many ages.

Baby blessing

From May2010
Yesterday we went down to Biloxi for my niece's baby blessing. My dad and his wife came, too. It was wonderful to be there. Madeline is so sweet! She smiles big for everyone and seems so happy most of the time. Thanks for letting us be a part of this special time, Jamie and Chris! (Bryce is not in the picture because he had already climbed in our van and didn't want to get out again.)

13 Wonderful Years

George and I celebrated our 13th anniversary this past Sunday, May 16. My sister, Jamie, came up from the coast with her husband and daughter on Saturday afternoon. They watched our kids while we went out on a date. We enjoyed delicious steak dinners at Longhorn's. Then we took a romantic trip to Target to get George some new shoes! He really needed them, so I insisted we do that because George never goes shopping, and I can't try shoes on for him. Then we went and got a pint of Ben & Jerry's cheesecake and brownie ice cream at Wal-mart ~ YUM! I'm so glad to be married to such a great guy!

Dance Recital

My girls finished up their dancing for the year with a fun and adorable dance recital last weekend. George posted the videos on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/gtraber

There is also a cute one of Lyndy eating blackberries. We have to document the eating of blackberries every year (and blueberries within a month or so). The girls loved taking dance and will probably be doing it again next year. I already got a new pink ballet outfit and tights for Darla because she was having to squeeze into her old ones. I'm sure I will need to get new shoes for her when she starts again in the fall.

Tiny Dancers

Well, it has been forever since I wrote on my blog, but instead of trying to "catch up" on all I did not write about, I will just start from today. My girls have been taking dance classes this year and are getting ready for their recital next month. Today they took pictures, so I wanted to post some. Lyndy's class does ballet and Darla's class does both ballet and tap (or "tamp" as she used to call it). They love dancing!

Finally Updating

Here are some photos from the end of Summer. It started on a sad note - George's Grandpa, Lloyd Hudman, died in August. He will be greatly missed. On more happy notes, the girls started a dance class, the kids played soccer, and we did some redecorating in the kids rooms.

And in the fall a lot happened. In early October, we got a visit from Train Grandma and Grandpa and went canoeing. Then I got to take a 5 day trip without my kids. Jamie and Chris graciously looked after them. I flew out to Utah and met George there (he was already there for business). We visited with some of his family there and they had a birthday party for me - so fun!! Then George and I went to the BYU Homecoming (sad loss, but still had fun). George purchased his grandpa's car, since his grandma doesn't need it. Then the two of us drove towards home. We stopped in Wyoming to visit my sister, Jeffi, and see our new little niece, Savannah. Next we stopped in Kansas for a quick visit with Lloyd and Iliana. Then home. Halloween was fun and candy-filled. Then Lyndy and Darla also celebrated their birthdays - they are now 3 and 5 years old.

A visit from Dad and Laureen to Costa Rica

My dad and Laureen came to visit us while we were in Costa Rica. They were there in the middle of June. It was really great to see them and spend time with them. We enjoyed the beach and the rainforests and lots of windy roads together. Check out my pictures for more details (just click on the slideshow to go to my picasa page).
