We said goodbye to my cousin Nicolas who lived with us this summer while he worked an internship job for Canyons School District. It was fun to have him around, and as an added bonus I got a new dishwasher with his rent money.
The boys are not shy that they prefers the days they're home with their dad, so I tried to buy some love/popularity the other day by taking them to In-N-Out burger (I'm still behind in the polls).
This last Monday Dan and I spent all day at a wedding for his co-worker Ryan. Dan was the witness at the Salt Lake temple, then since Dan was in charge of buying the gift we had to stop on the way to the luncheon to buy it. The ring ceremony was by Matt Townsend who has a radio program on KSL which was cool. The boys played with their friend Peyton at the wedding. Peyton caught this awesome "headband" at the reception.
I chaperoned the first grade field trip to the zoo. This time I was with Seth's class. This is Seth with his best buddy Carter.

Seth's group. I learned an important life lesson while at the zoo- don't insist that the kids eat at least half their sandwhich, one of them just may puke it up after two bites.

It was Fall break this past Thursday through Monday. On Thursday my cousin from North Dakota was in town and invited us to the Dinosaur Museum with them. Afterwards we went to Cabellas for lunch. The food was poor, but the fish were cool.
The other highlight of Fall break was I let the boys were their pajamas and super heroes costumes the entire day. I also tried to earn some cool parent points by letting them stay up late and play soccer in the dark with the neighbor kids. In true Stapleton fashion they came running in and got their headlamps.
