Stapleton Trip to Lake Powell

We had our annual Stapleton Family Trip, this time to Lake Powell.  I think this trip may have been the grandkid's favorite thus far.
The front of the boat was "grandkid only territory".  I tried to infiltrate and failed.
We slept out under the stars.  We didn't realize how much Brad moves in his sleep, but he made it up and over Maya and another five feet into the dirt.  Poor Maya woke up her dad in the middle of night because she couldn't get back in her sleeping back, Brad was on top of her.
The boys favorite parts were riding fast in the boat, riding on the wave runners, and swimming.
I was able to still waterski, even after a five year break.
We spent a lot of time swimming, four or five times a day.

Eating our All-American meal.  I felt bad afterwards about my food choice, racks of ribs were not very considerate for our vegan family members.
 Digging in the dirt.

 The set-up.
Dan waxing artistic.  I wish we had more pictures of our water activities, but boating isn't very conducive to taking pictures.
 Our traditional shot.
Allie's boyfriend, Brandon, is awesome, and so his sweet FJ Cruiser tent.

Who says nagging doesn't work?

After four years of talking about it, I finally got my pergola.  I'm really excited to start spending more time in the back yard.

Spring Soccer and Such

I got a load of mulch for the yard, and my efforts to expose the boys to yard work have finally paid off!  They helped load the wheel barrow and spread the dirt around, they even recruited our next door neighbor.
I went to help with the Kindergarten classes "learn to eat school lunch" experience.  The girl sitting next to me lost a tooth during lunch, which was really exciting.
On the last day of school Harvest Elementary has a Dance Off.  This is the Kindergarten classes performing theirs.  All the parents sit on the hill to watch; it is the social event of the season. :)
This is Adi, who we walked to and from school with.
As with last year, Brad is wearing blue socks and Seth is in white.

The boys enjoyed another soccer season.  Dan has been working with them in our back yard, so their dribbling skills are really improving.  Now, we just need for them to find some speed.
