Christmas

Santa brought the boys a Hot Wheels cars game and scooters.
We took a quick lap around the kitchen before leaving to Grandpa & Macha Stapleton's house.  On Christmas Eve the boys got the Yoda slippers from Uncle Mark and new pajamas.

Dan was not nearly as thrilled with his steamer as I was hoping.
I gave Jimmy the Insanity workout videos.  Dan and I have been doing them and they're awesome.  Brad and Seth sometimes also try to do the exercises with us.  They even made their own workout video, complete with their own moves.
All the kids went in on a mixer for Mom.
We had a Star Wars theme and the boys got four Lego Star Wars sets and flash light light sabers.  Dan has been getting beat-up when they play fight and he's hoping the flash lights will be safer for him.

Christmas Eve

We had our traditional Christmas Eve Dinner and Bingo at our house.  We had a crazy amount of Prime Rib, but no complaints since it is delicious. Here are the boys playing in the Junior Bingo League
Liam was very excited about presents this year.

Jimmy with the huggable/microwavable bear, the unlikeliest pairing of person to gift this year.

Christmas Festivities

In the Spirit of the holidays we went to see the lights at Temple Square.

We stopped at an amazing restaurant that had ice cream waffles and french fries with awesome dipping sauce.  It was not a good parenting moment in terms of nutrition, but delicious.

The Utah Symphony does a Christmas program geared for kids each year.  Grandma Ogilvie came with us.  Hopefully next year it won't be on a weekend when Dan works.
Waiting for the show to start in Abravenal Hall.

We had Dan's third annual Christmas work party at our house. We had a great turn out, 32 people.
We play a Texas Swap gift exchange game and have dinner upstairs.
We went to the Festival of Trees for the first time.  A family in our ward this this tree in honor of their son who passes away this past year.
The hot wheels car was the boys favorite.

Park City

I downloaded pictures from the boy's camera and found these pictures from a weekend trip we took to Park City last August.
We got a day pass at the Park City Alpine Slide and Coaster and it was awesome.  We probably did each ride eight times each.  We spent the entire day as you can see from Dan's sunburnt face.

The boys also had 30+ pictures from this library book we got on flags of the world.  They were on a real kick with flags.  At church they would draw world flags and create their own.

One of the best things about Little Boys

One of my favorite things about little boys is watching them dress up and play super heros.  They played in the house and then took the game outside to fight the villan- the older brother who lives next door.

Cascade Springs

We drove up American Fork Canyon to Cascade Springs when the boys got out of school one afternoon.  It was really beautiful.

November

I got such a great deal on our Jack-O-Lantern pumpkins that I bought extras.  We never got around to carving them for Halloween, so Seth made a turkey and Brad a turkey monster for Thanksgiving instead.  I almost always take a picture of any painting project so I have proof of good parenting for when the boys are older. :)

I found Brad and Seth reading books in bed with their headlamps one morning.
Both Mark and Jimmy were able to be in town for Thanksgiving.  We took an Ogilvie Family picture before they left- I promise that Dan was invited but he'd scheduled a Young Men presidency meeting during Sunday dinner.
