Stewart Falls

We took a hike to Stewart Falls by Sundance with the boys and Grandpa Stapleton, Uncle Kyle and cousin Ellie. Afterwards we drove the Alpine Loop which was beautiful.

The boys walked for a portion of the way. If we went on a shorter hike I think they could do the whole thing.

The Backyard

So, they are completely finished with our backyard and we love it! We have to water four times a day, so the yard is soaked and we have to stay off the grass for a week, but after that it's BBQ time.

We can't figure out what to do with this space here. If you have an idea let us know. At the moment a fountain is winning.

Project: Backyard

So, since moving in we have disliked our backyard. It had grass, but that was all. No trees, no shrubs, and Dan swore every time he mowed the lawn because it was so uneven. But all that is in the process of changing:

Work started last Friday and the skid steer has provided hours of entertainment for the boys and neighbors.

We should have five trees planted tomorrow and some shrubs along the fence and hopefully grass. We've been told it will all be done Friday. Yipee!

Outing with cousins

We went to the farm with our cousins last week. It was dairy days so they had some fun extras like the cow couch. Meadow Gold gave samples of chocolate milk and Brad got upset because "I can't see mama, my nose is in the way!" as he tried to drink from his cup.

We went to the Childrens' Garden with my friend Marsha.

This is the boys' teenage moment. They're listening to their Big Bird CD from the library and immediately told me to leave when I walked in the doorway.
