Summer

We went to Orem Days which was at the park across from Dan's work. Dan got lunch from us and the boys got to go on their first carnival ride. I let them choose two and this, of course was their first choice. The were so excited to choose their car while they waited.

This is just the boys being silly. After their bath they like to be chased around the house. Currently, we have to "fish" for them as they run around the table. I'm going to have to brush up on my biology, though, because I am quickly running out of types of fish to say I've caught. Notice how full our fridge is with their artwork. They are on a kick with coloring. I finally had to have them start storing them in the nightstand because I ran out of magnets.I took the boys to This Is The Place Heritage Park. I hadn't been their for ten years and was pleasantly surprised. They have a "train ride" that the boys were super excited about, a petting zoo, pony ride, store, miniature house area, and they get to make the puppet Brad is holding below. If you've never been there it is a pioneer village with people in costume. Next time I'll have to take off their sunglasses to make this picture look more realistic.

This is the boys with our next door neighbor Carter. We are so lucky to have so many friends nearby. Brad and I went to get the mail the other day while Seth slept and Carter still called him Brad-Seth. As far as I know, none of their friends or cousins can tell them apart yet.
We went to a splash part in Herriman that was pretty cool. Come to find out the park by my house was or is suppose to have one- what up Saratoga?!?

Summer Adventures Continued

We went back to the Children's Museum with Marsha and company. The museum bought new dress ups and the boys were excited to be "Bob the Builder". I'm going to have to look into getting some dress up clothes.
On Memorial Day we went swimming with Grandma and Papa Ogilvie. Both boys will now jump into the water without holding your hands. I was proud.
We went to the zoo with the boys' friend Miley. It was a disappointment after just having been to Omaha's zoo, but at least we had good company.
Miley was much better at the flips, but the boys tried hard to copy her.
Cool dudes.

Trip to Omaha

So, I probably should've done this as two posts since this obviously isn't Omaha. We took a trip back to the Midwest to visit our friends the Kellers, some of our old co-workers- thanks for the party Stephanie (and the phenomenal ribs)!!!, a Creighton professor and to see our old stomping grounds. On the way home we split up the trip and stopped at Rocky Mountain National Park.
There were a lot of elk and you could get even closer than this shows.
Seth looking cute and oh so happy to be out of the car

Here is Omaha. We went to the "train museum," The Durham, with the Kellers. This is Rook entertaining Seth on the cable car.
The have an actual train inside you can walk through and the conductor answered questions. The highlight of the museum was a miniature train set. I didn't get any good pictures, but the boys would sprint from side to side to watch it.
On the way into Omaha they have two massive locomotives overlooking the city. When we lived there we watched them move these trains into position through the city and up the hill.
Brad initiated the hand holding, which is why this picture is especially cute. This is with their friend Crew.
And as there is never a dull moment- we got rear ended. It was the other guy's fault as we were completely stopped. His car may be totaled.
Our car was still drivable, just loud since once of our mufflers fell off. Everyone was fine and our car is currently in the body shop. We just had to shed a tear since it's less than a year old.
The zoo! I took the boys to Hogle Zoo last week and it was such a disappointment after going to the zoo in Omaha.
Butterfly house.
Two sets of twins: Rook and Cannon Keller and Brad and Seth Stapleton. Rook and Cannon helped to give us an inkling of what we were in for with the boys. We ate out a lot and even had a date night with Teri and Gary.
