Stapleton Family

What a Cutie!

Brad walked around with my glasses on this morning for about 20 minutes.  Good thing he likes them because he'll most likely have some of his own someday.

The Park

Saturday the boys reached a fabulous milestone which will put an end to whatever muscle tone I've gained in my arms from hauling them around, they can now climb up the stairs to go down the slide on their own!!

Their favorite is still the swings.  They love it when I grab their leg midswing for an extra big push.

Weekend in Montana

We went to visit our friends Eli and Trieste Johnson this weekend in Hamilton, Montana.  Eli was attending dental school the same time we were in pharmacy school at Creighton and they lived a few houses down from us there.  We had a great time.  We also visited with Jared and Rebecca Little who came down from Missoula.  Thanks for a great time guys!!

We played at the park, with their puppy Cheyenne.  The view from their backyard was vacation enough.  The Bitterroot Valley is beautiful.

We went for a wagon ride while Eli and Dan went fishing.

Madison and Brynne were cute with the boys.  They helped them eat their dinner and loved
 to comb their hair.
Brynne hates to wear clothes and insisted that Seth didn't want his pants back on after a diaper change.

One of many stops on our way home.  This is along the Snake River in Idaho Falls.

Happy Helpers

"I'm a big boy now"  He really is, though.  Both boys are 95th% for height and Seth is just shy of 27 pounds.  Yes, Dan, you were right, they don't weight 30 lbs but they sure feel like it!

The boys had a check-up on Thursday and one of the developmental questions we were asked was whether the boys can use a spoon.  I felt a little sheepish when I said that I haven't let them try, so that night we forged ahead.  I am now reminded as to why I thought this was a bad idea in the first place.
I'm hoping that as they get older their coordination will improve but their helpful nature will remain.
The boys like to be twirled in the office chair.

Provo River Marathon

It's unusual for me to do a post about something other than my boys, but I feel an obligation to warn all runners who may read my blog not to ever run the Provo River Marathon or 20 mile training run like I did this Saturday.  My two friends ran the marathon and I did the 20 mile run in preparation for the upcoming St. George Marathon.  The course is exceptionally poorly marked, I took a wrong turn and lost about 3 miles of the run and my friends on the marathon got lost but luckily had GPS watches, so they have to add in a random 2 mile loop to get the full distance and to stay on course.  I could keep going, but the fact that no gatorade was provided at the end gives you an excellent idea of the caliber of this race.  The race website is http://www.trailrun.com.  I also have serious complaints about the website as well.

Throwing Rocks

The boys, especially Seth love to throw rocks.  Today they had a great time throwing them with their cousins at their grandparent Stapleton's house.  Yesterday we had to stop their bike ride so that they could rearrange our neighbor's landscaping rocks for 20 minutes.

Have I mentioned how my live has gotten easier and how much I love that they can walk?
We hiked up Doughnut Falls on Friday and the highlight was, you guessed it, throwing rocks in the river.
Brad looking very cute before the hike.

Life's Little Pleasures

Brad figured out how to crawl into the laundry basket.  They both love to "help" fold the laundry.

Brad especially loves to push this big beach ball around the house.
Here's Seth putting the laundry basket to much better use as a walker.

Little Tykes

The neighbor boys across the street have outgrown their fort/slide and their mom wanted to pass it along to us.  The four year old would not have anything to do with that idea until I offered to pay him for it and then he readily agreed.  The boys love it and Dan will love it even more when it finds its home in the basement instead of our living room.

Wheeler Farm

Today the boys and I met up with my friend Marsha and her two kids at Wheeler Farm.  The treehouse/playhouse was actually the boys favorite, but they did like the geese who came right up to us since we had bread.
The boys love to show you their belly buttons and also Dan and I's, no matter the location.  It can be a little inconvenient :)
