Cousins Swim Party

We went swimming over at Aunt Robby's house today.
Here are the boys with Maya and Sophia.  I didn't even try to get them all looking and smiling at me.
The party was made extra special because Uncle Scott and Katie are in town visiting from Michigan.
With a smile that big, can you guess what the boys are getting for their birthday next year?

Aquarium

There is a movement to get an aquarium for downtown Salt Lake.  Until they can get enough funding and support, they have a small aquarium in Sandy.  It's just about perfect for the boys because it only takes an hour max to go through, which is their attention span.

They have an area where you can pet sting rays.  Seth especially loved to splash the water.  I don't think they even noticed the animals below.  The highlight of the whole experience for them though was the faucet that automatically turned on when you put your hands underneath to wash off the salt water.

Daily Life

We purchased patio furniture.  We may not get a Christmas party at work, but at least we get a sweet price on clearanced seating from Smiths.
The boys love books.  Dan and I each have a handful of the books memorized.
The basement is coming along nicely.  Dan and Tim have actually hung all the drywall for the ceiling and for the bathroom walls.  Dan says his goal is to be completed by Christmas so that when he finishes earlier he'll feel good about himself.  I'm hoping for end of September.
Seth loves his little dog, and Brad's as well.  I've been debating whether I should just get rid of them before they're more of a problem, but the extended family gave a resounding "no".
Brad thought it would be funny to climb into the drawer.  Needless to say, the boys are into everything.

Lake Powell

Over the 4th of July my aunt and uncle invited us to join their family on their house boat in Lake Powell.  Unfortunately Dan had to work 5 of the 6 days of the trip, but fortunately he encouraged the boys and I to go.
Seth enjoyed walking in the water more than swimming
Brad thought he was at the day spa and was quite at home taking a rest in the lake.
Here the boys are watching the water go by as the house boat heads down the lake.
The boys haven't shared a crib since they were two months, so I took a couple pictures of them sleeping together because I thought it was so cute to see them together.
They were hillarious to watch in their life vests because their balance was all off and they kept tipping over.
This million dollar house boat parked next to us.  Apparently it was built by a French arms dealer who was recently deported.  Who says crime doesn't pay- or at least until they ship you away.
There were two different helicopters that transported people to and from the above house boat.  One of them landed on the house boat.  This picture doesn't do justice to the excitement we all felt watching it land.
Here is Seth trying to mimic my dad who can not physically read a book without a highlighter in hand.
Yes, I did get up on a wakeboard for the first time and yes I face planted soon after.
