Delightful Wednesday – Music!

Hello there! How is everyone?

It is my turn today to post a Wednesday project on the DIGITAL DELIGHTS BLOG and Sandy and I are continuing with our Music theme for November.

Now this little guy reminds me of David Bowie in his Ziggy Stardust persona and what would suit him better than a ‘rocker’ card! Oh come on!! J

Ok so who remembers vinyl! Oh good, that means you’re as old as me then!! J I was going to put him in front of a CD but with his whole 1970’s glam rock thing going on I decided a record was more appropriate. Gotta love glam rock…. bet you’re reaching for your platforms and blue glitter eyeshadow as we speak!! I know I am!! J

This is the gorgeous SERENITY RESTING who is probably more suited to the spring or summer so I had to winter-fy her up a bit.  I gave her winter pansies in her hair and dressed her with sleeves and gloves and stuck her in a snowstorm.  Kind of me don’t you think!

 Now I have to admit that this did not turn out as I had originally planned but then what does!! This was going to be an aperture tent card with the image sort of suspended in the middle.  Did. Not. Happen. L So it is now an aperture card with NOTHING suspended at all.  Except maybe disbelief!! J

Just wanted to take a moment.......

Now there really are some fabulously generous souls out there and non-more so than my uber talented friend Sammy who, after I made a comment about NEEDING the piano key washi tape that she used in her post HERE , only went and sent me some!!! The Pencil Case - F = Fierce!

Hello! How is everyone? Good I hope! I’m off to our local fireworks display later and I’m really looking forward to it.  I luuuurve fireworks!  I’m lucky that my dogs are not too bothered by them.  They bark at the first ‘whoosh bang!’ then sleep through the rest! J

Ok, this is the weekend right? Yes? Oh wow, well I don’t usually post on a Saturday but that is about to change as I am beyond thrilled to announce that I have been asked to join the uber talented ladies over on THE PENCIL CASE , showcasing the awesome LYRA REMBRANDT POLYCOLOR PENCILS  Whoooo hoooo!

As anyone brave enough to visit my blog will know I have been using these incredible pencils for about a month now and find it almost impossible to use anything else.  I was totally blown away by them, their ease of blending and their vibrant rich colours; they have even managed to make me look halfway competent at colouring which is saying something!! J

Ok off we go then.  So when saw the image I was lucky enough to work with (another happy dance!!) I thought rainbow!! I know my brain worries me too sometimes!!

This stunning, glamourous, ‘poisonous’ witch is called PRISCILLA  and I thought I would place her on a cauldron. I know that Halloween is now a long distant memory but she’s a witch, what else was I supposed to do with her?!!

I made my cauldron using a snowglobe die turned upside down; the flags cut from a banner die to make ‘feet’ and circle dies to create bubbles!  To make it a little less Halloween I’ve decided that it’s not a potion at all; it’s actually her bath for later!!

The Paper Nest Dolls – Christmas Flower Ellie!

Hello there! Hugs to everyone!! 

Today I am showcasing on THE PAPER NEST DOLLS CHALLENGE BLOG for the last time. L I want to say a HUGE thank you to Leah and Christine and the fabulous team for having me; it has been a blast to work with such adorable images.

So for my final project I made a dinky round card using the super sweet CHRISTMAS FLOWER ELLIE. Awwww!

I have to say that it did take me a while to weave all that twine through those small holes, as I had to be careful not to rip the paper.  Note to self: don’t let the dog walk off with the twine reel in her mouth while you’re in the middle of threading; not helpful!! J

Digi Choosday Challenge – Reds, Oranges & Browns!

My card this week is for another brother that has the audacity to have a wedding anniversary coming up!! I mean really!!  The colours of this challenge are perfect as my brother and his wife were married in November in the amazing setting of Stowe School grounds. They have some fab photos taken of them in front of a backdrop of amazing autumn shades.  I don’t think any peacocks were present but I do love this image from the wonderful DOLLIE DAYDREAM GOES EAST so I used it.

I printed the image twice onto Neenah Desert Storm card, flipping one so that they faced each other, forgoing the usual peacock colours to fit the challenge.  I used a pen to dot over the background to break up the ‘blankness’ of it, an idea I wish I hadn’t had after losing the will to live halfway through!!

Hello! How is everyone? Good I hope!

My mum asked me if I could make her a bookmark with an angel on it, so of course I said no!! J  Well obviously I didn’t.  As a dutiful, kind and generous daughter (job description still under review) I found the perfect image called ANGEL ELLIE. Isn’t she an…..well…angel!! J

As the purpose of a bookmark is to save the page and not make the book impossible to close I didn’t add much dimension or frills to it.

Have to say I love it and it’s not often I say that about my stuff.  It is probably the colours, which I adore, or that sweet little face.  Either way my mum NOW says she does not want to use her as a bookmark in case she ‘squashes her’ between the pages!!!  Rolls eyes; shakes head; weeps a little!!
