Our Camera Broke

Well I went to get our camera out the other day and it was broke. It will still take pictures except the screen is broken and there is no view finder so it makes it quite hard to take a picture when you can't see what you are taking a picture of. I have been wanting to buy a larger more expensive camera that isn't just a point and shoot. I want a nice camera that will take awesome quality pictures. I am not professional but I love taking pictures. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Vacation + Spa = Heaven

This is our third day in Cabo and we are having such a great time. Today my sister and I decided to go to the spa. We decided on the Swedish massage. What a great choice. We were loaded up with amazing smelling botanical oils and rubbed from head to toe. Here in Mexico they take their massages very seriously and make sure to get pretty much every inch or your back side if you know what I mean. It was the most amazing experience of my life. After we had our massages we went into the Swedish shower and then laid in the sauna with cucumbers and a cool towel on our faces. We finished our relaxing with an amazing shower. I was in heaven and hope one day I can have the shower head they have. Just imagine a "rain" shower head with 24 different nozzles on one head lightly raining on your. I could have showered for hours. I think tomorrow I will have to go back to the spa to enjoy the atmosphere, sauna and showers again.

Congrat's Jeremy

I just wanted to publicly congratulate my husband for closing his biggest account yet working at @task. I know it can be hard it's not like selling a car where it's done the same day or week business to business sales can take months. There are demos for the company followed by conference calls, approvals from different departments to finally closing the sale. It can be such a long drawn out process I think he just closed one that took 8 months for the company to make a decision and get approvals in place. So.... CONGRATULATIONS JEREMY. We love you and appreciate all of the hard work you do so that Brody and I can stay home together. Maybe one day I will be able to hold up my end of the bargain.... A perfectly clean house, gourmet dinner on the table, the newspaper set out for you to read followed by a foot massage and never lifting a finger the rest of the night. For now I guess you will have to deal with me complaining the house isn't as clean as I would like, the not gourmet dinner I may not have even made, the diapers you get to change and the foot rub I ask you for after a long day holding our HUGE 24lb baby. For now I guess this tribute will have to make up for it well until we hire a made to do all of those things for you :)

100 Things about me

My friend Katie did this and I thought it was fun. Hopefully I can think of 100 things to say. Here it goes...
1. I've been married almost 2 years and I have a 8 month old little boy
2. I never dated a red head before I married one
3. I'm secretly obsessed with the hills on MTV I even named my child after Brody Jenner
4. I've loved animals since I was little and have a little dog Jack who I love and cry whenever my husband suggests giving him away (even when I hate him so much I want to give him away :) )
5. I love to work out
6. My number 1 reason for working out is for my family. I want to stay in shape and be able to run around and play with my kids and grand kids until I die
7. I don't work out to lose weight I work out to feel good.
8. I DVR Reba and watch all of the reruns
9. I used to get up at 4:45 so that I could go to the gym before Jeremy went to work
10. I love getting massages
11. I can only stay mad for a day before I get over it.
12. I am pretty sure I have never been mad and Jeremy over 2 hours.
13. I pretend to be tough but I cry about the stupidest things.
14. I will try and figure out how to do anything
15. I love to travel
16. I have only been on 1 vacation that I can recall in my life without my family or Jeremy's Family and that was my honeymoon I had to leave them :).
17. A vacation isn't fun for me without family or friends
18. Johnson family vacations usually include a minimum of 12 people usually more. There is always some one's friend or relative with us and I LOVE IT.
19. I think of my close friends as family
20.I love shopping.
21. 90% of my side of the closet is filled with Banana Republic, Gap and Nordstrom of which I never spend full price
22. I have only bought 1 item at Banana republic full price and regretted it later when within a few weeks it was 50% off.
23. I bought a $135.00 dress at Banana for $25.00
24. I have never worn a pair of designer jeans and that doesn't bother me.

32. I once told Jeremy when we were dating that I was concerned we would get serious and married and have a red headed boy and that even though I thought he was attractive it didn't mean our child would be. I love red heads but with boys I feel it's black and white attractive or ugly.
33. I love to blog

49. I hate watching people struggle all I want to do is help them
50. I am kind of a stress case and most of my stress usually isn't caused by my problems
51. If I could go back and change anything in life I wouldn't. Sometimes life is hard and sucks but I believe I am going through it for a reason and that I will be a better person in the end even if I feel like I didn't learn a thing I know I did.

69. I'm scared of heights
70. I named my dog after Jack Bauer on 24 hence my dogs name is Jackson Bauer Jensen II (there isn't a first I just thought it was funny since he had such a serious full name)
71. I have only had 1 pet besides jack and it was a bunny my parent's made me get rid of when we moved
72. I try to never ask people for favors
73. If I ask someone to do something for me I always try and pay them (unless we are trading) even if they are my best friend. I understand if people won't let me but I appreciate the fact that they are doing something for me and spending their time and skills and I don't expect someone to do something for free.
74. Sometimes I feel bad asking my friend Lacy for things because I know she will do them even if she doesn't want to and fights me when I try and pay her. We usually end up with a compromise of Dinners, gas, etc. (sorry love you :) )

83. I think dieting is the dumbest thing. Cutting your calories, not eating this or that for a month, starving your self. It's stupid if it's not something you can't honestly make a permanent change than it's just a temporary change with temporary results.
84. I try not to get offended by people
85. Sometimes in my mind I think "are you really that dumb did you really just say that" I am a bad person sorry
86. I love boating
87. I used to watch bayliner (of all boats) infomercials until midnight or later when I was younger (really just ask my mom she still makes fun of me). I will say they did help convince my dad into buying a boat. Their "no reason not to" slogan really worked :)

Thanks Jordan

My great friend Jordan takes amazing photo's. I won't try and tell you what her type of photography is because I am sure I would mess it up but if you would like to check out her site Click here. I asked her if she takes family pictures but she doesn't really do posed pictures. I was lucky enough though that she caught Brody at a wedding we both attended the other week. She took a lot of cute pictures. Here are a few.

Thanks so much Jordan I love them!!

Sunday

On Sunday I was released as Mia maid Teacher and called as 1st Counselor in Young Women's. For those who don't know the 1st counselor works with the mia maids anyways so now get to plan activities instead of teach. I will miss teaching but it will be a exciting change. Also on Sunday we had our friends the Buck's over for dinner. They are back visiting for a week before they finish selling. They surprised us by telling us we had a bat right above our front door. Sure enough that nasty little creature had found his home on our home something I was less than excited about. Jeremy and Jay decided to spray the sucker with bug killer. It flew away to the neighbors porch. We told them and they came out to check it out. Luckily Camille isn't as scared of them as I (she is way more brave) She said the bat could stay. About 10 minutes later we got a knock on our door letting us know it had come back to our place. Here are a few nasty pictures of him. He finally went away.

Reunion

It seems that it was reunion time again. Friday night and Saturday morning we went to Jeremy's family reunion. We camped out with Brody up Hobble Creek Canyon. We had a lot of fun spending time with Jeremy's immediate family at our house before we headed up the reunion. Once we got to the reunion we were able to have fun spending time with his extended family. Brody really liked camping.

Jack and Brody Decided to "practice camping" before we left
Brody Really love camping. Here he is being a goof in our tent

He just loves to spit these days
This s Brody in his dad's sleeping bag in the morning
This is the morning. He was such a good boy all night. He slept the whole night until 6 in his own make shift sleeping bag ( I used his bundle me it was great and a blanket) Around 6 he got in my sleeping bag and we warmed up together. His hands were a little cold but that was it. I guess I will buy some gloves for next time

After Camping all night and getting very little sleep we cooked breakfast with everyone and headed out to get ready for Jeremy's 10 year reunion Picnic in Bountiful. After a few hours of the picnic we headed back to Orem to get dressed up for the actual reunion and drop Brody off at my brother Joel and sister in law Monica's. Thanks so much guys for watching him. I don't have much to say about the reunion other than it was fun I met a whole bunch of people I probably won't remember and I was really tired by the end of the night. We finally made it back to pick Brody up around 10:45. He was sleeping after a fun night with his aunt and uncle and grateful that they so nicely watched him. Thanks again guys.

etiquette

I have had numerous encounters with people lately asking questions that are really NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS. I wrote a whole vent about it but decided not to post it in fear someone might not think I was as funny as I thought I was and get all hurt about it. I'll be honest though if someone was offended because I was telling them that they shouldn't ask people things that aren't their business well I am offended by them so oh well. Here is a little etiquette lesson for everyone out there. I personally feel that this is common sense but you would be surprised I have been asked a lot of these questions by people I don't even know let alone like. My little disclaimer on these questions is there are some appropriate time to ask these questions and it's usually only ok if it's a very close friend but proceed with caution.

Some questions you should avoid
-How much money do you make? (never ok unless you are good friends and are inquiring because you are looking to work at that company and then proceed with caution)
-When are you going to have kids?
-Why did you get fired (just for the record I've never been fired)?
-Why is your brother/sister/child/etc in rehab/jail/etc?
-Are you a virgin?
-How much was your engagement ring?
-Are those ____ fake?
-Are you sick? (just because I don't have my makeup on doesn't mean I am sick it's called lazy you should try it some time it's great!)
-You are so skinny do you eat? ( I don't think I have even been asked that I might almost think that was a complement :) ha ha)
-Did you gain weight? (never appropriate even with best friends
-Are you pregnant?
-How can you afford that?
-Why did ___ get divorced (if they didn't tell you it's because they didn't want you to know and if it was just recent then maybe you aren't on the top of their list sorry for the reality check)

These are just a few of the things I found on the Internet. I believe there are ways to ask some of these questions with tact and sincerity however if we aren't friends don't bother. I'd love to hear what you think are inappropriate questions. Hey maybe everyone can just mind their own business. Just so you know if you are reading my blog I highly doubt you have asked me something I deemed inappropriate since I most likely consider you a good friend and know you either wouldn't' ask me this or I wouldn't mind if you asked me this because my friends have tact

Things I make

My friend angel wants to see a picture of the things I make. Sorry these pictures are kind of crappy but Angela you get the idea. I make bows, flower clips, plain colored clips, headbands, tutu's, burp cloths and soon to be baby bracelets. I don't have any pictures of the burp cloths or bracelets yet. I gave away my burp cloths before I took a picture but I am going to make more soon and take some good pictures of all of this stuff. Maybe I can convince my niece to try some of the stuff on (she is only a few months so I don't think it will take much convincing) so I can get some better pictures. These are just so examples of things I can make. I mostly do more custom things based on what someone is looking for

Life

Well it's been a bit since I have sat down and blogged. I have been pretty busy between getting ready for Jeremy's Family to come visit, a doctors appointment, cooking dinner for a family in our ward, meeting with the city to appealing our property taxes, preparing for Jeremy's 10 year High School reunion as well as his family reunion all in one weekend and oh still hitting up the gym. Although at times I would have skipped the gym I think I've been super motivated to go. I've lost 45lbs since having Brody and I have 4% less body fat than when I got prego (it's my blog and I can brag if I want to) I think the gym also keeps me sane. Brody is cutting his first 2 bottom teeth at the same time while learning to crawl but wanting to stand. That hour to my self without a crying baby is wonderful.

I've forgotten how much I love making my crafts. I took a little break from it because I have been so busy. I pulled out the stuff to take some pictures because I am selling some stuff and instantly fell back in love with it. I think though unless I have an order I may take another 2 weeks off since this week is shot and next week is time to prepare to go to Mexico with my family. Make that 3 weeks we have another family reunion for Jeremy's mom's side on labor day and I am throwing a shower for my friend that week as well. Oh how I love summer hate the winter but yet can't wait for it so my life will slow down.

Hopefully I will suddenly become a better blog again. I look for moments like this to be able to blog. Love being a mom but love when this happens too.

I apparently wore him out he finished his bottle and fell asleep. I give props to all the mom's of 2+ children I don't' know how you do it. Life is hard enough for me just trying to give Brody Tylenol I need 5 hands. 2 to hold the baby's arms away from his mouth 1 to open his mouth 1 for the dropper and 1 to swat jack back he wants in on the action as well.

Camping

Jeremy has a family reunion this weekend and we are considering staying over night and camping. It's only 40 minutes from home so if we have to we can come home but I need some info about camping with a 8 month old. I have never camped with a baby obviously and I am not a veteran camper to say the least. My dad hated camping growing up so I probably went like 5 times and I think since moving out of the house have gone 2 maybe 3 times. Hence I need your help. If you could comment and let me know what I should bring, what to expect and if it's worth it that would be great. Just a little added info there are toilets and running water and we are sleeping on grass. We are also thinking about bringing the dog since I don't know if he can last 18 hours without going to the bathroom.

Boyfriend 5.0

I got this email from my sister and thought all of you women out there could enjoy a little laugh I know it made me laugh.

Dear Tech Support
,

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slow down in overall system performance, particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.

In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as

* Romance 9.5 and

* Personal Attention 6.5, and then installed undesirable programs such as

* NBA 5.0,

* NFL 3.0 and

* Golf Clubs 4..1.

Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system.

* Please note that I have tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail.

What can I do?

Signed,

Desperate.

DEAR DESPERATE,

First, keep in mind,

* Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while

* Husband 1.0 is an operating system.

Please enter command: ithoughtyoulovedme.html and try to download Tears 6.2 and do not forget to install the Guilt 3.0update.

* If that application works as designed, Husband1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.

However, remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0 or Beer 6.1.

* Please note that Beer 6. 1 is a very bad program that will download the Farting and Snoring Loudly Beta.

Whatever you do, DO NOT under any circumstances install Mother-In-Law 1.0 (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources.)

In addition, please do not attempt to reinstall the Boyfriend 5.0-program .These are unsupported applications and will crashHusband 1.0.

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. We recommend

* Cooking 3.0 and

* Hot Lingerie 7.7.

Good Luck Babe!

Busy week

I can't believe it's already Thursday and I haven't accomplished the laundry, cleaning or much else. I have had a lot of fun. Monday we went to a Pre-wedding dinner for our friends Jon and Kati. We got home around 10:00. Our great friend Lacy was watching Brody so we talked with her for a few minutes. When I went to let her out we both smelt a strong natural gas smell. I called he gas company and by about 12:00 they had flushed our system, fixed the leek and re lit our water heater. Tuesday we attended their wedding in SLC. That night we went to their reception. (I know this doesn't seem like it takes a long time but we left at 9:30 and only spent 2 hours at home between then and 11:45 that night. Wednesday I finally tried to make up for the missed workout on Tuesday. I then returned the tux's from the wedding (Jeremy was in the wedding) and headed over to help my brother clean my dad's house down here to get ready to rent. I then rushed home took a power nap and cleaned my downstairs because the Young Women were coming over to play the Wii. my YW left and I got on a conference call for about 45 minutes I finally got to bed about 11:00 Today I just relaxed by the pool with my friend and our kids. Although I still haven't gotten my whole house clean there is always Saturday. Tomorrow is saved for my friend Jessica who is in town. Better luck next week
