Kate Rolled Over

Kate Rolled over all by herself for the first time today. I will post a video soon I just wanted to make sure I got the date down. I know she is 4+months and that is late by most standards but she is a very chubby lady so it's normal not to roll until 4 months :) If she is anything like Brody she will be sitting up very soon and walking in about 4 more months! That would be fun yet kind of crazy as well. Not sure if I want that or not.

Brody's 3rd Birthday Party

Brody Turns 3 on Tuesday but with Christmas so close we decided to have his party this past Tuesday. A few of his best buds came as well as a few new friends from the ward. The theme was Toy Story. He is currently obsessed with the movie and Buzz! We had a ton of fun.

Among many things the kids enjoyed gold fish

and "Lots-o Bears"
And Toy Story Water Bottles (Brody even helped add the toy story labels )
Cheese Sticks fashioned with Mr. Potato Head pieces aka "Mr Cheese Stick" and Buzz Yogurts
They Played Pin the Badge on Woody and Buzz

And of Course Ate some Yummy Buzz Cupcakes

The adults enjoyed some other not so "Toy Story" food as well. Overall I think it was a great success and it was so much fun for Brody to have his Best Friends come and play with him. I Can't believe my little man is growing up so fast. He starts preschool in January, he is talking up a storm, he is so helpful, and loving and I am so grateful to be his mom! Happy Birthday Brody we love you. All the hard work for your party was worth it to see your smiling face.

Kate's blessing

We were so fortunate to bless Kate on October 24th. We were fortunate to have my parents as well as my sister and her husband and kids fly down and stay with us for the blessing. We were also very fortunate to have so much family come to the blessing. Kate was blessed in a beautiful one of a kind blessing dress hand made by a family friend Sandy who lived just down the street from my parents. I don't think the pictures do it justice to say the least. It was amazing! I am going to try and get more pictures of Kate in the dress this week. Unfortunately we didn't get a lot of pictres I can share because a lot of them I was sitting on the couch and you can see straight up my skirt :) After I do some cropping I will try and share more pictures.

Family Updates

I have definitely fallen off the face of the planet. Life with 2 kids has been super crazy so far to say the least. Jeremy's parents came when Jeremy went back to work and stayed for 5 days, afew days later my mom came and stayed for a week. At the end of that week I flew back to Washington with her and the kids for and Jeremy met us a few days later. It's now been a month since Kate was born and it's been so much fun. Just after she was born we had some newborn photo's of her done as well as a few of the family. I love them and can't wait to put them up. We were fortunate enough to have these taken as well as photo's by my cousin Karly just before Kate was born. I will post those as well when I get them (No Pressure K Face... I know your move has been crazy!)

A few updates in our lives
- Kates tummy troubles seem to be getting better I think they were caused by the formula she had been using that later got recalled
-Kate is 10lbs now and we think she is going to be a red head
-We were released from nursery and called to do the Program and newsletter
-Jeremy Ran the Spanish Fork half marathon (his first half) and finished under 2 hours!
-Brody has become very independent. He is always telling me "my turn" and "I do it myself" he is talking like crazy but unfortunately is lacking in articulation and thus we have a hard time understanding him sometimes. Luckily he was tested and will be starting articulation/speech classes in October!
- As for me I have started the oh so dreadful loss of "the baby weight" I started running and walking outside ble with a double jogger and I'm hoping to head back to the gym in a few more weeks once kate is a little older.

A few Funny things to remember
-While at my moms house Brody was sleeping on the floor in my room and managed to somehow roll/scoot himself under the bed while asleep. The first time the left half of his body and his whole head were under the bed. The second time he was under the bed from his knees up... Luckily I found him both times before he woke up under the bed... can you imagine waking up under a bed and not knowing what was going on
-Brody has some articulation issues and I have a hard time understanding him. As we work on words and he gets better I always say better better Brody... the other day he was trying to tell me something and I kept guessing what he was saying. When I finally figured it out he said to me "better mama"

Hopefully there will be more updates to come and quite a bit sooner!
