Los Cabos

A week ago we were blessed to be able to spend a week in Beautiful Los Cabos Mexico. We traveled with our seed company and had a WONDERFUL time!!!

View from our room!
We went whale watching on a catamaran...AMAZING!! I am so amazed at these HUGE creatures that God created! Wow!!

Dinner the first night!

We also swam with dolphins...talk about another AMAZING creature!
Such amazing food all week!!

We really enjoyed getting to know some new people and renewing other relationships!!
Travis & Alyssa and Mike & Shari were also along!! FUN!!

One evening we had a salsa and guacamole making contest..we didn't win :( It was a lot of fun though!!!

Thumb Sucker

We're trying to break Reid from sucking his thumb and someone suggested taping long socks on top of his pj's.

Last night was the first try...it was fun at first, but he soon realized that he couldn't have his thumb and tonight we had a major meltdown. Hopefully this will work quickly!!!

Party!!!

I can't believe she's almost 5!!! Madison had a few friends over after church yesterday to celebrate her birthday!! It was CRAZY!! These girls had so much fun together!!

Snack time...

As soon as they walked in the house, they ran and raided Madison's dresser and closet. They had so much fun dressing up and changed multiple times during the afternoon!!

We got some crafts out and I asked if they wanted to make cards for their parents...Madalynn said "I think we should do it for some widows" So they each picked a widow and made her a card. Thanks for the great idea Maddy!!

A "homemade" slide. We had overnight company on Satuday night, so the girls found the air mattress still blown up and thought it would make a fun slide. They LOVED it!!!

The were so excited to eat the cupcakes and kept asking all afternoon. Well the time finally came and they took one bite and said "these don't taste good" I knew they didn't but thought they would probably still eat them :) (The frosting recipe I used called for a little salt and the frosting turned out soooo salty.) I guess I learned my lesson and will never add salt to frosting again:) At least they had little lip gloss rings that they could play with:)

Oh Dear...

Yep that's right...it's been over a year and a half since I've updated this blog!! And WOW...a lot has happened since then!!

To bring you all up to date...I will just do a quick recap of the past year in pictures: (I can't figure out why they're backwards, but I guess we'll start from the most recent and go back....)

Hopefully a new Christmas tradition...Gingerbread houses

Right after Thanksgiving we were able to go with Grayson & Tara to Magdalena, MX, the Grand Canyon, and Phoenix for a week. It was a wonderful time with Great friends!!!

During harvest the boys spent HOURS riding with daddy in the tractor and semi!!

Thankfully none of the kids were with him this evening. Blare tipped a loaded semi on its side this fall. Praising God for safety!!!

Finally a finished house!!!

In September my Grandpa went home to be with his Lord!! It was a long hard journey but we're so thankful he can be in Heaven. (this pic is old, but just a good one of him)

September...The kitchen is finally done and we can live in it again!!! YAYYYY

Madison started preschool this fall!! She loves it!!

Over Labor Day we were at Group Camp again. This is such a wonderful weekend that we've been able to enjoy for over 10 years.

Lots of picnics at the park this past summer!!

Madison got to go on a "date" with Uncle Brent

Playing in the construction mud provided LOTS of fun!!

At the end of July we went to the Lakes with my extended family!! So much fun!!

We took LOTS of bike rides during the summer!

Fun with friends!

Mom & I took the kids to the zoo one day.

4th of July. I am so blessed to have each of these girls in my life!!!

In June, to celebrate my mom & dad's 25th anniversary, we went to Gatlinburg for a week. It was WONDERFUL!!!

At the end on May we started tearing into our house. We moved down the basement, but most days were spent at either my parents or grandparents. I was SOOOO thankful when this project was over. It was a long 3.5 months, but the end result was so worth it!!!

Celebrating the boys' birthdays

More kitchen mess...

And more construction mud...

The VERY begining...

In April, Reid fell off a chair and broke his arm. It was only in the cast for 3 weeks, and healed just fine!!

In March, Madison got to go on her first "Daddy-Daughter" date. She LOVED every second of it

Also in March, Blare's dad got married, but unfortunately I don't have any pictures of that weekend!

In February we were able to go on a trip to Kauai, HI with the seed company Blare works with. We had an AMAZING time with my parents!!

Technically this little guy wasn't born last year, but I still had to put him in here. My brother Travis and his wife Alyssa had little Clay at the end of December. He only weighed 3 lbs 10 oz. I'm pretty sure he was the tiniest little baby I've ever held. SO sweet.

Whew!! I'm going to try to stay a little more up to date in the future:)
