Easter

Easter morning we spent at my parents house, then we went home and got ready for church. (The only thing nice about 1pm church is having a nice relaxing Easter morning)

Basket hats, ready to look for eggs in the backyard.

How Terra got ready to find eggs:

And some pictures of the kids finding the eggs:

We went inside and opened up the eggs: Video Here

After we came home the kids found their Easter Baskets that had been hidden that morning. Video Here

Then we headed to church and relaxed for the evening.

The kids got some money from Easter. Aria used hers to buy a hula hoop and a toy cell phone. Parker added his to the money he had been earning from chores and bought another set of train tracks. We now have 4 full sets and can build quite epic tracks all across the floor of the loft.

It was a good day and I really have enjoyed the 'Easter season' these past two years... getting to explain to my kids what Easter is all about makes me extra thankful for my Savior and what he did for me and my family (and everyone else) so that we can repent have be together for eternity!

Easter Eve

The Saturday before Easter Jason was off work all day! Which is awesome since many Saturdays the kids don't even get to see him.

We took advantage by first going to the Easter Egg hunt put on by the city of Surprise

Parker getting ready to pick up some eggs:

Here's the quick video I took of him collecting eggs: Parker gets eggs

And here's Aria with Daddy, waiting her turn

And the video of Aria: Here.

Yes, She's still a thumb sucker

Anyway, we went home and later that day we went to my Aunt's house for a BBQ. And after the BBQ my parents took the kids home and watched them overnight. Jason and I went on a REAL date to see the Hunger Games and we slept in Easter morning until almost 7am!!!

Easter post coming soon.

Egg Dying

Before Easter we did some egg dying (of course)

Can I admit something? We never hard boil our eggs, we just dye raw eggs, and then use them in recipes as usual . That way, we don't waste eggs by turning them into yucky hard boiled eggs.
Plus the kids think its funny afterwards to have me cracking open one of their colored eggs for whatever I'm cooking..

Anyway, a few pics from the event.

April Fools

This year we celebrated April Fools Day
And it was so fun!

Parker and I planned for a couple of weeks to play some tricks on daddy. We went for fun/funny tricks and nothing mean.

I warned Jason ahead of time so he planned one trick to play on the kids. He put gummy worms in their smoothie in the morning

Parker and I made this 'spill' of nail polish

The next two were all Parker's idea-

Play food at daddy's seat for breakfast
And we have no picture of it, bu the also put play food all over the floor to make daddy think we had a big yucky mess all over the floor

We turned on all of the lights downstairs and taped the light switches to trick daddy.

Parker told Jason he wanted eggs for breakfast and that daddy should make them and gave him this:
"April Fools!!" Chocolate Marshmallow eggs.
He played the same eggs trick on Grandpa Tieman when we went to his house later that day.

I made smoothies the night before and put Jason's in the freezer so that it would be frozen solid and he wouldn't be able to drink it

Jason's is in the green cup

When we knew Jason was about to put on his shoes to go outside we took some coins out of the freezer and stuck them in his shoe

Parker helped me make these fake glasses with fake eyes to trick his daddy

We hid the baby monitor so Jason wouldn't see it and then went upstairs to talk/sing into the other end- so it would be a 'spooky' voice coming from behind the chair!

It was so fun!
Parker would smile so big and giggle every time Jason was discovering one of our tricks.

Parker already has some ideas for next year

Pre-Church

The kids before church one day

Buttoning his shirt

Still working on the buttons (it's a slow process for a 4 year old)

Parker/Aria Starfish
All three babies ready for church:

Oh- I Love Them!!!

St Patty's

Here are some pictures from our St. Patrick's Day

The kids in green:
green shirt

The ONLY thing Aria had at the time in Green was this hair clip

Terra and mommy (Parker took this picture)

Three kids four and under?
Good luck getting a good picture!

We had green smoothies for breakfast- which isn't that rare in our house, but you might as well do it for the 'green' holiday

Terra enjoying some green smoothie

Then I made my own food dye from spinach so I wouldn't feel bad giving my kids a bunch of green food.
The pancakes:

Too bad they turned mostly brown when I cooked them.
I can't remember what we had for dinner... but it was a fun day since Parker was excited to make green food.
I love holidays with kids
