Saturday

Dr. John George Farr

John finished his last rotation yesterday. Which means...He is now

John George Farr, MD

Wow, our little family has changed a lot in four years. This is us just after the white coat ceremony. (The very Beginning of his Four years.)
This is us this morning, giving our Daddy Breakfast in bed to celebrate his AWESOME achievement! We LOVE him so much and are super proud of him, but more than that we can't wait to get to spend almost 2 months with him where he doesn't have to work for even two seconds.

THE DOWN SIDE: We are headed into the real world. There will no longer be two week Christmas breaks, coming home early, or random days off because the resident or attending took the day off. This day had to come some time.

But over all...WOW, I just can't believe we made it!

So John Farr, Now that you have finished Medical School what are you going to do?

"I'm going to Disneyland!"

REALLY!

Tuesday

Hee Hee Hee

I don't mean to laugh at my daughter's expense, but she is the cutest little test dummy in the whole world.
Doesn't it look awesome from the front?
Not even too bad from the side eh?
Here is where it gets a little scary!
I should have taken one from the top. The sides aren't even, and one side curls under and one side curls up. Hee hee hee!

I remember as a little girl it taking my mother forever to do my hair. She would start over and over again(she is a perfectionist). I remember friends or aquaintances teaching my mother how to French braid. I really am trying to spare Micah, and even Josie(who will have Micah to point out how funny her hair looks) any memory of these first trials. I really do appreciate my mom taking the time to learn, it helped space out my frizzy hair permed days. At least she was a perfectionist, and my hair always ended up looking nice, no matter how long it took. Micah will just have to put up with what she gets for now. Between, Deeken and my lack of knowledge, she is lucky it even gets combed!

I LOVE YOU MICAH!

PS I did this in 20 minutes. Mind you that is never having done it before, and with no hairspray(next investment). I was quite proud of myself. Micah's response, "Well, Daddy will like it."

Friday

My John Boy

Since our anniversary is coming up(tomorrow), I thought that I would do this husband tag. So here goes...

What is his name? John George Farr

How long have you been married? 7 years on April 19th.

How long did you date?
About a year and a Half of dating before his Mission. Two years of Writing, and then one month after he got home we were engaged and married 3 months later.

How old is he? Just turned 28 in December.

Who eats more sweets? John would say he is a major sugar belly, but I can handle my own pretty well.

Who said I love you first? I did. John was kind of caught off guard and told me to go get something to eat.

Who is taller? John, by about 6 inches.

Who can sing better? John. He often makes fun of the way I sing notes, But that is because I totally will change the sound of a whole song by singing notes of one song to the words of another.

Who is smarter? John, by Farr. But if he doesn't lose some of his Doctor jargon and speak human again soon, he might have a few cold nights on the love seat.

Who does the laundry? Me mostly, but when I get behind John is always willing to help out without even asking.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? I do. Pretty much I prefer him to sleep on the side that the burglar would come in on. Nice huh?

Who mows the lawn? It would be John if we had a yard or he had the time. I really don't mind especially if we have my Dad's riding lawn mower

Who cooks dinner? Mostly me, but John is always a good help.

Who drives? Who ever gets in the Drivers seat first. But usually when we are together it is John. He is good at driving with me to do "run in quick errands," so we can still get in some family/visiting time while we drive.

Who is more stubborn? Pretty equal on this one I would have say. It just depends on the subject. He usually is the more giving and forgiving when we disagree.

Who kissed who first? I think it was mutual. I know for sure I made the first move to hold his hand!

Who asked who out first? Our first date was a bet. The Bulls and Jazz were in the NBA finals. He was for the Jazz, and my brother had raised me to be a bulls fan(MJ still played for them). So depending on who won the game, the loser would have to take the winner out on a date. Win Win situation. He didn't wait to long to ask me. We went the next day.

Who proposed? John. It was a crazy day, I thought we might end up breaking up, but all the ciaos was because he was trying to ask my dad first. The night ended wonderfully with a ring on my hand.

Who has more siblings? John. He has 7, I have 4.

Who wears the pants? Depends on the day and the subject. But I think we both work pretty well together.

John is my Best Friend. Better than any man I would have thought to choose for myself(I choose some real winners to date). God definitely had a hand in getting us together. I am eternally grateful for such a wonderful partner to go through this life and the rest of Forever with.

I love you John Boy!

Thursday

Missionaries

Tonight we had the missionaries over for dinner. It has been a long time and man they just seem to keep getting younger and younger. This is a nice hard working companionship and we appreciated having them in our home. I will miss my kids getting to have their influence in Utah. Everyone wants to feed the missionaries, and you just don't get them in your home as often. They showed us a new website done by the LDS church. It is really awesome because anyone who wants to know about the church can really learn about it at their own pace. With all the FLDS stuff going on and Mitt Romney having run for President, I think people really need to know what we stand for. So if you want to know what Mormons, Latter-day Saints, or Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints believe, visit this website www.mormons.org.

Monday

A BLAST FROM MY PAST!

These are some of my Bestest friends from High School!
These pictures were taken the summer after our first year of college. It seems so long ago now.

Just a fun little fact, I have gotten to be pregnant about the same time with each of them. Although, it always seemed to be their first, and it was my second or third child. With Barji(lower right) We actually had both of our first and seconds just a few months apart. Rani, (right next to me) We had Deeken and Claire about 10 days apart. Shauna, (just above me on the right) we had Micah and her first Savannah, about two weeks apart. Carly, (in the middle on top) she actually would announce her pregnancy just as I had had my babies. Rachael, (top left) is having her FIRST in July(Whaoo) with me having my FOURTH in August.

Kind of crazy! They are great girls and I wish I got to see all of them more often.

Just a little shout out to our other good friend Maryann-e (Whalstrom) Briggs who will be having her FIRST in 24 days, she would have been pictured also, but I think she was in BYU Hawaii or Jerusalem that summer. Lucky girl!

Sunday

Thank you Tia Haydee and Grandma Hyde

I got so many compliments about my Beautiful new dress! I love it! Thank you! Love, Micah

Saturday

Baby Pictures!

Here is our little Josie Mae!You can see her hand in the background (3 lines) and that is her foot coming up to her mouth.
And this is her hand actually in her mouth. So cute. (if you look at my very first post. It is Deeken putting his feet in his mouth)
Just a little wave to say HI to everyone!
And this is my first 3D pic. They kind of freak my out, But the kids really loved that she was smiling!

We are so glad everything looks good and so far as they can see she is a very healthy and happy baby!

Friday

Not Much Makes ME Happier...

Then When John calls at 9am from work and says he doesn't have to work today! He is on his way home!So we decided to take advantage of the 70 degree weather and headed to Multonomah Falls.
The hike is only a mile, but up hill that can get to be a lot. John did have to carry Micah and Deeken part of the way. I felt like sticking my stomach out further so that people would know I was carrying one too:)
It was a feat, but we did make it to the top. This is looking down form where the waterfall starts.
We had a great time together, I was so proud of us for going all the way. We will be sad to leave these beautiful falls behind when we move, I am glad I get to take my family with me!

Thursday

We Are So EXCITED...

It's a Girl! The boys will no longer out number us!

Josie Mae is on her way!

(I will try to scan some of the ultra-sound pics and post them soon.)

Wednesday

Micah's First Pony Tail!

Micah has wanted a ponytail for so long. When she cut her bangs about this time last year, we butcher'd her hair, and there wasn't much hope for a ponytail. But after Morgan Veek recently came for a visit and had one(a long beautiful one) Micah wanted to try it .
She was very happy even if it didn't stay in too long. Now let me remind you at this point, because I know her pony doesn't look that awesome, I had four older brothers, no sisters...which translates to not learning very well how to do Girls hair, or even my own for those who have known me when I was younger. This has been a work in process. Micah is patient with me, and I really am so happy that I have such a wonderful girl to learn on.

I love you Micah!

Tomorrow we will learn if I will have another little girl to torture with my stylish hair techniques!

Tuesday

A week with my Parents...

Went by too fast. There were books to be read.
Matches to be made.
Pictures to be taken.
When we colored eggs, Deeken thought they were for eating.
Dye'n the eggs was a lot more fun with Grandma and Papa here.
When Deeken discovered the eggs didn't taste so good, Papa and him retreated and watched Elmo.
This is Deeken swiping one of Noah's eggs. I am so glad Noah was so good natured about it.
On Saturday morning, Deeken enjoyed eating the candy, while Micah and Noah looked for eggs.
The SPRING bunny did leave a lot of eggs all over our upstairs.
Posing for the usually pretend, " act like you hug all the time" picture!
Outside egg hunting at our friends huge farm was a lot of fun.
No rain, but still wanting to cuddle with Daddy to keep out the cold.
The kids opened fun packages from Grandma and Grandpa Farr. They always do the cutest things that the kids love.
We had our good friends the Veeks over to visit. The kids had a blast, Sierra and I mostly sat around feeling sick.
We fed the ducks!
And just totally vegged out!
We miss them already and can't wait to see them in Disneyland.
