Our Beloved Prophet!

President Gordon B. Hinckley 1910-2008

President Hinckley died last night at the age of 97! My first thoughts were, "OOOOHHHH! So sad" then, "Yes, he gets to see his wife." She passed away four years ago, and they were such an amazing couple. I also started to think about all the other people who would be there to meet him. It must have been one AMAZING reunion for him. He will be missed deeply. He did such amazing things with the church in the 12 years he was our Prophet.

It makes me think of a story I heard about after one of the prophets had died.(vague on details) A leader from another church spoke to one of the 12 apostles at the viewing of the belated Prophet. He offered his condolences on the passing of the Head of our church. The apostle then turned to the man and said, "Thank you but the head of our church has been dead about 2000 years now." It is something to pause and think about. I am so grateful for the restoration of the Gospel. I am thankful to know that God continues to love His children as He always has, and has put a Prophet on this earth to lead and guide us. The church is true...we will miss you President Hinckley. Thank you for being our beloved Prophet for so many years.

Tuesday

Happy Brithday Papa!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAPA!
You are a wonderful grandpa!
You make us smile all the time.
Even if you have to grow a beard to do it!
You are really good at cuddling too, kinda like hugging a big Teddy Bear.
A great example to your adoring children and grandchildren.
You are always willing to lend a hand...
Read a book or be read to.
The best ever at spoiling!
And best of all you are willing to sacrifice for the Lord, for your family and in general for anyone who needs you to. You are wonderful! We LOVE you so very much!

Have a Very Happy Birthday!

Sunday

Oreo Mustache!

Saturday

Time out for reading!

I couldn't help but smile when John plopped down on the kitchen floor with Deeken to read a book. I think Deeken brought John the book because he saw Micah and Noah reading this book together. Micah actually really likes it when Noah reads to her. He is getting to be such a good reader.

Thursday

Don't turn your back...

Seriously cute....Seriously trouble! But I still love him!

Wednesday

My little Micah Moo

I love this little girl so much. She is my best pal throughout the day. She is adorable. Even with her mouth full. I really don't know what I would do without her. My days would be quite boring. She says lots of incredible smart and funny stuff. When she dances you want to watch, when she sings you want to listen, and when she smiles, you want to smile. I love her Very, Very MUCH!

Tuesday

Popcorn and a Movie

I absolutely LOVE my three wonderful kids. And they always love a good movie and popcorn. (This pic is so typical of Micah, she is always touching Deeken...mostly on appendages, but anything that is at arms length is at risk.) They always get down to the kernals. They are such good friends. I hope it lasts FOREVER. I hope they can always sit down, snuggle together, watch a good movie and eat some yummy popcorn...and love it this much.

Saturday

Deeken the Menace!

I found Deeken like this when I got him out of bed this morning. I have no idea how he managed it, but it made my morning start with a laugh. This wasn't so funny though. John was putting the other two kids to bed while I was at a RS meeting. Well, Deeken found the computer and now we are missing a few keys. Frustrating! And Brett and Chelle thought Kennedy was obsessed.
