When my dad was here for Deeken's blessing, Micah was in this dress and hat. He told me he wanted me to get a picture of her in it and send it to him. Well that has been at least 10 months, I finally thought I would fulfill his request even because Micah is growing out of this dress. So here you go dad, I know it has been a long time coming. I bought this dress, or I should say my mom bought this dress for me long before I knew I was going to have a girl. I really liked it then for some reason. I liked how the hat, the dress, and shoes all matched. She was willing to work with me at first, but as time went on, not so much! Sorry they aren't the best pictures dad. Here is one of the boys for good measure. I love you!

Washington County Fair
We went to the Washington County Fair with the Veeks. I had my camera in the car and didn't try to turn it on until Micah fell asleep on the way there and I wanted to take a picture, but the batteries were dead. I was very sad. But wanted to remember the experiance, so whilst i write about things that happend this year, you can gaze at some of the pics from last year. This year we saw part of a bird show, watched "Dock Dogs"(dogs jumping into water from a dock), Saw the farm animals, (Micah was intrigued by the cow getting milked by a machine, Noah wanted to see more horses), We watched the winning 4H cow get bid on, we ate some way over priced food and caught the end of a magic/comedy show. The hot and ready light was on at Krispy Creams, so we did grab one of those on the way home. All in all it was kind of a crazy trip, but the kids did seem to have some fun. Sierra asked me if we ever go to the fairs in Utah, I said nope. She asked why not, and I didn't have an answer. It really made me think though. On a different note seeing the animals just made John and I hope to one day get some acerage and have those horses, and... well maybe not any other animals, but the horses for sure. So...this is what it was about last year... This is Micah and Mylisa. Too little to ride rides, but still old enough to have fun together. I think Micah was mostly picking on her here, just gearn' up for Deeken. Just Micah in her cute overalls. I think little girls look so cute in overalls. I can't believe how much she has changed in a year. Still got that sass though. This is Mylisa. Who is she? Well if you don't know it is a long story to tell, but she was like a daughter to our friends Bryce and Brenley Wilberger. She needed love and and they needed to give some love and they gave it to each other till Mylisa's mom needed her back. They keep in touch still and always will. This is Noah with two girls from our ward, Brianna and Kennedy. They are both older than him, I think he likes it that way. He got to go on a few rides with them and had a GREAT time! We had fun with the Veeks this year and the Wilbergers last year. Above all doing fun things like this with our friends show that we are home bodies and without great friends who come up with the plan and get us to go with them we would probably not get out much. We love all the wonderful friends we have made here.

Monday
What a good guy.
He is the best baby. I really can't complain about him in any way. He is so mellow and enjoys just chillin'. We don't even know when he has double ear infections because he is so good. This is him after a nap. I heard him talking and came to see. This was how he was waiting for me. He is such a sweet, good baby. I LOVE HIM!

Robinhood Festival in Sherwood Oregon
We didn't hit a parade on the Fourth of July, so I was glad to here about this parade that takes place in a town not to far from us. Here we are waiting for the parade to begin. I was so happy it wasn't 102 degrees outside. It was actually overcast but not raining. So NICE! Micah was holding the bag open ready for the candy to come even before the parade started. Noah was intently waiting to catch a glimpse of the first person in the parade. We asked the kids to put their hands over their heart as the Veterans and flag went by. I don't think they understood. Better get out the B of M and teach them about war and freedom. Shortly after the parade started, we found out Sherwood doesn't just throw candy they throw lots of good stuff. Micah was happy to have gotten a t-shirt. And while Micah basked in her happiness of receiving a shirt, Noah swiped up every piece of candy he could. They learned quickly and so did we, that there is no need to run, if you just hold out your hand the candy will come. Plenty of it too. I think this part made Noah long to be in the bike parade with his cousins in Utah. We miss great things like that. Here is the "Sherwoody/Robinhoody" part of the parade. It didn't do much for me. Seeing the horses in the parade made John and I long for the time when we will be able to own some of our own. John says he aches for it deep down in his bones. Micah enjoyed all of the horse in the parade... especially this guy. The Oregon zoo even had an entry. Deeken got pretty bored, but liked this bouncy ball mouse that got thrown to us. Okay, maybe he didn't think it was as cool as his mom did but he seemed to like it okay. Noah liked his pinwheel. Each of the kids got one. Pretty cool. Micah didn't like the loud sirens. All in all the kids had a great time, and John and I got lots of free candy to rumage through after the kids went to bed.

The Farmer's Market in Beaverton
Saturday our family took a trip to the next town over and tried out the farmers market. Oregon has its bad points(endless rain) and it's good(farmers markets). My kids love berries, especially black berries from the bushes. This was a good experiance for them to try other berries. Noah has Blueberries, which he picked out himself. Micah has raspberries at mom's request. We did also get two pints of black berries. The flowers there were also gorgeous. The kids had a good time smelling them. Deeken got to hang out in the back-pack again. He is such a patient, good guy just taking in all that is happening around him. We had to get some peas since papa Hydes aren't an option this year. Micah's little "Cutie pa tootie" she found. It looks big in the picture but it was a tiny little pepper. Noah was diggn' those peas, pod and all. The big kids got to go in the water fountains to cool off, while... Deeken choose to chill under a wet towel and drink his bottle. It was a very fun time.

Little Man Learns signs!
Okay so it is just one sign so far, Milk. He gets excited now when I pull out the milk bottle and sign milk. He starts to hit his tray, and scratch with his fingers. It is very cute. Last night was the first time that the kids actually saw him squeeze his fist for milk. They were excited, he was exctied, it was all pretty exciting.

Good friends come to visit!
This is Dick and Wilma Minor. I almost said Wilberger because they are the parents of one of the bestfriends I have ever had, Brenley Wilberger. And even though Brenley and Bryce ditched us and moved to MONTANA, her parents still come to visit. My kids love them so much. They are surogate grandparents for those grandparents that my kids can't see. They even brought gifts for the kids like any good grandparent would do. They are cherished friends and we love it when they come to see us.

Wednesday
Happy Birthday America!
What a beautiful Day for the 4th of July! A little girl in our ward was having her birthday party at her grandparents, they just happen to live on a gorgeous 50 acre farm. Their house is on top of a hill. Look north or south and it is the most amazing view. After the party they have their annual 4th of July BBQ(with over 100 friends and family) and their own illegal fireworks. As soon as we arrived, I made the kids stop and get their pictures taken. I am an anal mother about my kids pics. Don't they look so amazing though? I am kind of embarassed to put this picture in, but I wanted you to see how gorgeous the place was that we went. It still doesn't really show you the great view. John and I would love to own a place like this someday. It is a beauiful place. Our Noah man. He is such a handsome guy. A true American Beauty. Micah Moo--Who Couldn't LOVE you! Little Deeken! What a good looking man, just like his namesakes. What a good looking couple. You can see why are kids are so good looking. J/K John and I have found that for some odd reason that some of our favorite pics of us are the ones we take ourselves. This was a big old swing. It hung from two fifty foot trees. The kids had a blast on it. John had just talked to Micah earlier that day about holding boys hands. He told her that if a boy tries to hold her hand, she needs to tell them to call her dad. I am pretty sure she thought this was okay because, well it's Ethan and because she grabbed his hand. Maybe Brett should give her a talking to. This guy only got a two hour nap the whole day, but he stayed very happy. He is such a good guy, just give him a staw and he will entertain himself. This same family who owns the farm, owns a professional shaved icemachine. They use it at the county fair every year. It was really cool, especially for the kids. I think they each got two, but wouldn't finish. So it really goes without saying that John and I had plenty of shaved ice. It was a hot day, so we didn't mind. Ethan and Micah Deeken and Emily Morgan and Noah What a couple of good looking guys. I know I am a poor addition to this picture, but without Brenley around, I have to insert myself into pics and take them, or I don't seem to appear in any. It was time for fireworks, but it took awhile, so.... We did some of our own. The kids loved doing some sparklers. Sierra and Emily. The big fireworks took till 10:15 to start, and by the time the kids saw a few, they were ready to head home. But over all it was a really fun fourth of July celebration. We missed all of you, but hope you had a great time doing what ever it was you did. We love you!!!
