'We Were Surprised to Uncover This to Say the Very Least'

For a minute there I thought maybe the authorities stumbled across Barney Frank's apartment or the employee lounge at Media Matters headquarters.
Police called to a home in a sleepy village were shocked to find a sex dungeon containing Nazi uniforms, whips, chains, sex toys and cattle prods.

Officers were alerted after neighbours reported 'unusual behaviour' and 'strange sounds' coming from the four-bedroom semi in Lee Mill, Devon.

Police arrived with battering rams to raid the home but a plain clothes officer knocked on the door and the residents let him in thinking he had an appointment.

The sex 'dungeon' was found in a converted first floor room filled with hundreds of items including whips, gas masks, wooden bats, handcuffs, clothes pegs and shackles.

Police also discovered bondage chairs with straps, straight jackets, sex toys, gimp masks, S&M outfits, shackles, cattle prods and car batteries used to power the toys.

The dungeon was also stuffed with 'various electrical vibrating' items and a recording studio complete with computer equipment and mixing desk.

During the raid, one customer arrived at the home and still asked for his appointment to go ahead despite the large police presence.

Detective Sergeant Stuart Gilroy of Devon and Cornwall police said officers made the 'startling' discovery last Friday afternoon.

He said: 'We were surprised to uncover this to say the very least. Upon searching the house we found a room set up as a dungeon.

'It's fair to say we were not expecting to find a masochistic dungeon in sleepy Lee Mill. You don't expect to find this sort of thing anywhere.

In the dungeon alone we discovered bondage chairs with straps, gimp masks, whips, shackles and various electrical vibrating items. Hundreds of items were seized at the address.'

Moronic Former VP: Fighting Mythical Climate Change Just Like Fighting the Nazis

Considering it was the coolest June here in the New York area in 50 years, I guess climate change is deep inside its bunker ready to eat the gun or something.

Nothing like using absurd examples to make a point, but never let it be said Al Gore wasn't prone to gross exaggeration to get the lemmings to follow along.
Al Gore today compared the battle against climate change with the struggle against the Nazis.

The former US Vice President said the world lacked the political will to act and invoked the spirit of Winston Churchill by encouraging leaders to unite their nations to fight climate change.

He also accused politicians around the world of exploiting ignorance about the dangers of global warming to avoid difficult decisions.

Speaking in Oxford at the Smith School World Forum on Enterprise and the Environment, sponsored by The Times, Mr Gore said: “Winston Churchill aroused this nation in heroic fashion to save civilisation in World War II.”
I always find it amusing how these wacked-out lefties now enjoy invoking Churchill when it's convenient. Give them a couple more decades and they'll be quoting Ronald Reagan on a regular basis.

Nothing like a little projection there by claiming people are exploiting ignorance. How else did this guy become a multimillionaire other than preying on the stupidity of his followers?
He added: “We have everything we need except political will but political will is a renewable resource.”

Mr Gore admitted that it was difficult to persuade the public that the threat from climate change was as urgent as the threat from Nazi Germany.
Then why even go there other than out of desperation since your hoax has been exposed as a lie?

I find it a gross insult to the soldiers who gave their lives fighting the Nazis that we have this buffoon comparing their cause to some money-making scam of his.

For shame.

Guilty: France 'Responsible' for Holocaust Deaths

I imagine in some quarters the first reaction will be to blame the Jooooos. On the upside, this is 60 years late in acknowledging, but at least they're accepting some responsibility for their Nazi collaboration.
France bears responsibility for deporting Jews to their deaths in concentration camps during World War II, the country's highest court ruled Monday.

But, the Council of State said, "measures taken since the end of the Second World War have compensated for the damage."
In other words, go away, we're tired of hearing about this.
Most of the deportees later perished at the concentration camp at Auschwitz in modern day Poland. Papon died in February 2007, aged 96, after serving part of his term and then being freed on health grounds.

There were approximately 350,000 Jews in France at the time of the country's defeat by Germany in 1940. At least half of those were refugees who had already fled Germany or countries already under Nazi occupation, according to the Web site of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.

At least 77,000 Jews were deported to their deaths from French transit camps between 1942 and the end of German occupation in December 1944. Of theese, around a third were French citizens and more than 8,000 were children under 13.

Most Wanted Nazi Converted to Islam, Supposedly Died in Egypt

There's a stunner. A Nazi converting to Islam. You could say the two ideologies share a similar passion.
Documents have surfaced in Egypt showing the world's most-wanted Nazi war criminal, concentration camp doctor Aribert Heim, died in Cairo in 1992, Germany's ZDF television and The New York Times reported Wednesday.

The report said Heim was living under a pseudonym and had converted to Islam by the time of his death from intestinal cancer.

ZDF said that in a joint effort with the New York Times, it located a passport, application for a residence permit, bank slips, personal letters and medical papers — in all more than 100 documents — left behind by Heim in a briefcase in the hotel room where he lived under the name Tarek Hussein Farid.

Though he did not know Heim's real identity, Egyptian dentist Tarek Abdelmoneim el Rifai said he knew him through his father, Abdelmoneim el Rifai, 88, who was Heim's dentist in Cairo.

He told the AP on Wednesday that he only met Heim a few times, 20 years ago, but confirmed that he knew of his death.

"He died in 1992. I didn't know that he was a doctor and that he is the most wanted Nazi war criminal. I am surprised," he said in a telephone interview.

"He introduced himself to my father as a German and I know that he converted to Islam and changed his name."

When he met Heim two decades ago at his father's clinic, el Rifai said he had the impression he was on the run.

"The only thing I knew about him is that he fled from the Jews," el Rifai said.
Just one little problem with this story.
One of the most wanted Nazi war criminals may have fled the Costa Brava for another area of Spain or Denmark to escape an intense search by Spanish police.

Investigators believe that Aribert Heim, a concentration camp doctor, now 91, who injected hundreds of prisoners with lethal cocktails at Mauthausen in Austria, may have already fled to the Costa del Sol, in southern Spain, or Denmark, according to local press reports.

Spain's organised crime and fugitive units have conducted "dozens" of searches in the Costa Brava after receiving a tip from German police, the newspaper El Mundo reported. He is thought to have lived in the resort town of Roses for years. In June, police hoped he would surface to celebrate his 91st birthday.

Investigators tracking Dr Heim have had leads in various parts of Spain. Recently, police have focused their investigations on two artists living in Palafrugell, a town in Girona. The artists, a couple originally from France and Italy, allegedly received German bank transfers of €300,000 (£205,000) from one of Dr Heim's sons, El Mundo said. Police are trying to determine whether they helped hide Dr Heim and acted as a front to sustain him economically - or simply sold their works of art.

Barack Announces Plans to Accept Nomination in a Stadium

Democrat delegates pledge allegiance to presidential nominee Barack Obama

Well now isn't this special. Barack Obama has announced he his going to move his acceptance speech outdoors to Invesco Field in Denver which can seat upwards of 75,000 people. Ain't that special. It appears to be another vain attempt to mimic the JFK legacy. For me it is far more foreboding. 70 years ago there was another charismatic speaker who could enthrall audiences with his speeches in large venues also. That one didn't turn out so good.
Hey, it feels good to draw a comparison between a progressive with socialist leanings with another progressive who has socialist leanings, even if they did speak a different language. You could probably go on and make a ton of other comparisons between the two, from the messages they preach in their speeches to the people they associate with, even to their similar childhoods.
The sad part is if I actually post this, the Obama bots will quickly spam Blogger and then the guy who actually owns this site will be pissed because he will be shut down. Such is the state of free speech in America, the government giveth and private organizations taketh away, and since we already know that Google has no trouble shutting down dissenting voices, and this is their playground I had best leave it here as a draft, but ready to be posted as an "I told you so" should the opportunity arise.

Well I guess that time has arrived. This post was originally written on July 7, 2008.

Mein Fuhrer

The 20-page booklet is expected to sell for £150

Schoolboy's letter to Hitler to be auctioned

A chilling essay, written by a 10-year-old schoolboy praising the Nazis, is to be auctioned in Britain.

The rare essay was written by German pupil Gunther Himpfel as a gift for Adolf Hitler on his 50th birthday in 1939.

The 20-page booklet entitled 'Der 50 Gerburtsag des Fuhrers' which translates as 'The Fiftieth Birthday of the Fuhrer', was discovered at a flea market in Berlin and is now set to fetch £150 at auction in Shropshire.

The pupil received top marks for the essay in which he pays tribute to "greatest leader Germany have ever had" and says he hopes Hitler will live for many years to come.

Experts say the booklet serves as a chilling reminder of how the Nazi propaganda machine even extended to vulnerable schoolchildren.

Richard Westwood-Brookes, a historical documents expert at Mullocks auctioneers who will sell the booklet at Ludlow Racecourse next Wednesday, said: "You never cease to be amazed at depths the Nazi propaganda machine plunged in the years leading up to the outbreak of World War II.

"Here you have a ten-year-old schoolboy who should be involving himself with childhood things, instead being used as a political pawn in the Nazis' evil game."

"It is a very rare item as it's not something the average German family would want to keep - they would usually give these type of things away or destroy it."And if you can't get more than £150 for it, you're not much of an expert. Or auction house.
Dr Christoph Mick, from the department of history at the University of Warwick, said: "The essay tells how much the German people love Hitler and outlines how Germans now live all together in one state.

"It describes how the masses celebrated Hitler and that he is the greatest leader Germany ever had.

"The article also praises Hitler and his 'great friend' Benito Mussolini and expresses the hope that Hitler and Mussolini may be able to preserve peace.

"And the author hopes that Hitler may live for many years to lead the German people."
David Duke was unavailable for comment.

Nazi War Criminal Enjoys Euro 2008

Isn't this special? A Nazi living openly in Austria and enjoying his soccer games.

Frankly, I could care less how old this monster is. He should pay for what he did.
A suspected Nazi war criminal has been found watching his country play football at the Euro 2008 football championships.

Milivoj Asner, 95, was spotted relaxing with fellow football fans in Austria while he watched his national side Croatia star in the tournament.

He is rated at number four on Interpol's most wanted list.

The Sun newspaper reported that Asner has been living under an assumed name in Klagenfurt since 2006, where the Croatian team are currently staying.

He is known by locals but has been spared extradition for being too ill to face charges of genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes in Croatia.

The Simon Wiesenthal Centre, which attempts to track down suspected Nazi war criminals said Asner must face justice.

Director Dr Efraim Zuroff told the The Sun: "He's enjoying a life many hundreds of victims were denied when they were sent off to be murdered.

"If this man is well enough to walk around town unaided and drink wine in bars, he's well enough to answer for his past.

"It is our intention to bring this to the attention of the Austrian Minister of Justice Maria Berger and call for his immediate extradition."

Asner now lives under his assumed name of Dr Georg Aschner. He was indicted in 2005 for crimes committed during his time as a Ustashi police chief in the Second World War.

How Incredibly . . . Clintonian

A little update to an earlier post regarding Formula 1 führer Max Mosley.

F1's Mosley issues writ over claims of Nazi-style sex games

Motor racing chief Max Mosley began legal action against the News of the World yesterday as former British Formula One driver John Watson compared him to Zimbabwean dictator Robert Mugabe in his desire to cling to power.

Lawyers acting for Mosley issued proceedings against the tabloid newspaper for breach of privacy after it accused him of acting out Nazi-themed sex games with five London prostitutes.

Mosley, the president of the FIA, Formula One's governing body, yesterday insisted his behaviour was 'harmless and completely legal'.

But the pressure on him to resign intensified when Watson, who competed in F1 from 1973 to 1985 and finished third in the drivers' championship in 1982, said: 'He has to make the judgment about whether he has to go, or do a Robert Mugabe and fight it out.'

'There's no point in me or anyone else saying he should go. He's the only person who can make himself go. He knows the circumstances. He's an intelligent man, though that was constricted by what he's alleged to have done. If he thinks it's the best for world motorsport, he will go.'

His fate may be influenced by the contents of today's News of the World which, undeterred by Mosley's legal challenge, publishes selected transcripts of Mosley's conversations with the prostitutes during their encounter in a flat in Chelsea, London, 10 days ago.

Mosley, the 67-year-old son of British fascist leader Sir Oswald Mosley, has written to the FIA's 222 members worldwide in a bid to save his job after major car manufacturers and some FIA members denounced him as a disgrace who should resign to save the sport's reputation. 'A scandal paper obtained by illegal means pictures of something I did in private which, although unacceptable to some people, was harmless and completely legal. I was the victim of a disgusting conspiracy. It goes without saying that the so-called Nazi element is pure fabrication. This will become crystal clear when the matter comes to trial. The newspaper invented this in order to spice up their story and introduce my family background,' said Mosley, who is seeking 'unlimited damages' from the newspaper.

Pure fabrication?
We report.
You decide.

Dummkopf: Formula One President in Nazi Video Sex Scandal

If guys want to get off with a little role-playing, it's their business. But what kind of sick, twisted freak plays Nazi sex games?
The president of Formula One's governing body FIA is under pressure to resign over sex allegations made by a British tabloid newspaper.

The News of the World reported Sunday that Max Mosley, 67, had taken part in a "sick Nazi orgy" with five prostitutes involving Nazi role-playing. The allegations are based on a five-hour video obtained by the newspaper, which shows a man identified as Max Mosley acting out various sadomasochistic role-plays in a London apartment.

One prostitute inspects the man's genitals and searches his hair for lice in an obscene parody of the treatment of concentration camp inmates during the Third Reich. The man is whipped by one dominatrix before himself whipping two prostitutes wearing concentration camp-style striped uniforms.

The man also addresses the prostitutes in German during the role-plays, although one girl reportedly confesses in the video to not understanding what he is saying. The man also reportedly engages in sex acts with the prostitutes before finishing off the sex session with a cup of tea.

Jewish leaders in the UK have condemned the video. “This is sick and depraved,” Karen Pollock, chief executive of the Holocaust Educational Trust, told the London Times. “I am absolutely appalled.”

"This is an insult to millions of victims, survivors and their families," Stephen Smith, director of the Holocaust Centre, also told the newspaper. "He should apologize. He should resign from the sport.”

Formula One chief executive Bernie Ecclestone, who is a personal friend of Mosley, defended the reputation of the FIA president. "I find it difficult to believe. It's his business but it sounds to me like a set up," he told the Daily Mail. "Knowing Max it might be all a bit of a joke rather than anything against Jewish people."
Considering his history, we might not need to wonder why.
Max Mosley is the son of Sir Oswald Mosley, the founder of the British Union of Fascists, and the society beauty Diana Mitford. The couple married in 1936 at the family home of Nazi propaganda chief Joseph Goebbels in Berlin. Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler was among the guests.

Nazi Apologist Le Pen Gets Supended Sentence

Naturally, he'll be appealing.

These far-right creeps never quite do apologize or realize the error of their ways.
FRENCH far-right leader Jean-Marie Le Pen was handed a three-month suspended jail sentence for describing the Nazi occupation of France as "not especially inhumane".

Le Pen, 79, was found guilty of denying a crime against humanity and complicity in condoning war crimes, over the remarks made in an interview with a far-right magazine in 2005.

The veteran National Front (FN) chief was also fined $A14,500 for his remarks. Le Pen was not in court to hear the verdict but his lawyer said there was a "100 per cent chance" his client would appeal.

Le Pen told Rivarol magazine that "in France at least the German occupation was not especially inhumane, even if there were a number of excesses - inevitable in a country of 550,000 square kilometres."

"If the Germans had carried out mass executions across the country as the received wisdom would have it, then there wouldn't have been any need for concentration camps for political deportees."

He also partially exonerated the German army over a 1944 massacre of 86 people in the town of Villeneve d'Ascq, saying it was the work of a lieutenant "mad with rage" over the death of comrades in a resistance attack, and that it was the Gestapo who intervened to stop the killings.

This version was disputed in court by the mayor of Villeneuve d'Ascq and by prosecutor Anne de Fontette, who said it was like calling the Gestapo "the blue berets of the 1940s".
Hmm, I wonder what the reaction of certain groups might be?

Monuments To Her Nazi Past

Honoring Nazi victims as witnesses fade

Most countries celebrate the best in their past. Germany unrelentingly promotes its worst.

The enormous Holocaust memorial that dominates a chunk of central Berlin was completed only after years of debate. But the building of monuments to the Nazi disgrace continues unabated. On Monday, the German minister of culture, Bernd Neumann, announced that construction could begin in Berlin on two monuments, one near the Reichstag to slain members of the gypsy groups, known here as the Sinti and Roma, and another not far from the Brandenburg Gate to gays and lesbians killed in the Holocaust.

In November they broke ground on the long-delayed Topography of Terror center at the site of the former Gestapo and SS headquarters. And in October, a huge new exhibition opened at the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. At the Dachau camp outside Munich, a new visitor center opens this summer. The city of Erfurt is planning a museum dedicated to the crematoriums. There are currently two competing exhibitions about the role of the German railroads in delivering millions to their deaths.

This Wednesday marks the 75th anniversary of Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party taking power in Germany, which remarkably has prompted yet a new round of soul-searching.

"Where in the world has one ever seen a nation that erects memorials to immortalize its own shame?" said Avi Primor, the former Israeli ambassador to Germany, at an event commemorating the Holocaust and the liberation of Auschwitz on Friday in Erfurt. "Only the Germans had the bravery and the humility."

[...]

Rüdiger Nemitz first began welcoming back this city's exiled victims of Nazi tyranny, the overwhelming majority of them Jews, in 1969. Berlin flies its former citizens, mostly Jews, back for a week of fully expense-paid visits, complete with a reception by the mayor.

The Invitation Program for Former Persecuted Citizens of Berlin, which has brought roughly 33,000 people for visits to the city, once had 12 full-time staff members. Now it is just Nemitz and another half-time employee.

The program is not, however, winding down due to waning support for commemoration of Germany's difficult past. To the contrary, at a time when the nearly-broke Berlin city government has had to make deep cutbacks in other areas, Nemitz said that every single political party in the city Parliament supported the program and had not pared back its budget of €550,000, or about $815,000, for flights, hotels and tours since at least 2000.

"When it started, they were grown-ups. Now, it's people with hardly any memory of Berlin," said Nemitz, 61, from his office on the ground floor of the Berlin City Hall. "Those who come today were children then."

The visits will end in either 2010 or 2011, Nemitz estimated, because there are so few victims left.

[...]

As the contact to the events becomes more remote, less personal, it raises the question of how a society should enshrine its crimes and transgressions over the longer term.

"I can't help but feeling that some of the continued 'Let's build monuments. Let's build Jewish museums,' is a fairly ritualized behavior," said Susan Neiman, director of the Einstein Forums in Potsdam, an international public research organization.

Her own children, she said, are saturated with discussions of the Holocaust and no longer want to hear about it.

"I worry terribly that it's going to backfire," she said.

[...]

When insufficient care is taken around the history, it immediately grabs national attention. In Munich this past weekend, a traditional carnival season parade overlapped with the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, celebrated every year on Jan. 27. The result was a nationwide flood of negative publicity for the city. Charlotte Knobloch, head of Germany's national Jewish organization, said that it "dishonors and insults the victims."

"There was no conscious affront," said Stefan Hauf, a spokesman for the city. He explained that they would have changed the date of the parade as the smaller city of Regensburg had, but too many participants were flying in from other countries to make the change on such short notice.

"The date has been on the public calendar since last May," Hauf said.
And not a soul working for the city was aware of the significance of January 27th??? My . . . Heinie . . . ass you didn't know.
Munich played a special role in Nazi history. It is where the National Socialist party rose to prominence and was the location of the Beer Hall Putsch of 1923, the failed coup attempt enshrined in Nazi myth. Hitler eventually declared the city the "Capital of the Movement." Unlike Berlin, which has developed a reputation as a city with a memorial practically on every street corner, Munich has often been criticized for playing down its history.

"Munich was the capital of the movement. Since 1945 it's been the capital of forgetting," said Wolfram Kastner, an artist who said he has fought the city government over the years for permits and permission to use performance art to keep the memory of the Holocaust alive.

Dummkopf Compares Plight of Smokers to Nazi Era Jews

Amazing how stupid some people can be.

I can empathize with the plight of smokers to some extent, but to portray your battle in such a crude fashion isn't amusing or even remotely creative.
FRANKFURT, Germany — A T-shirt using a yellow Star of David to liken the treatment of smokers in Germany to that of Jews during Nazi rule has angered German Jews.

Earlier this week, after several German states introduced sweeping bans on smoking in restaurants and bars, an events planner called DMP started offering the T-shirt for sale on its Web site.

Jewish groups responded with outrage.

The operator of the Web site said on Friday that he had not sold any of the shirts and that it was a publicity stunt gone awry.

The only publicity it generated was from the angry response of German Jews; and it got the attention of public prosecutors who were investigating whether the shirt broke any laws.

"This is an absolute abuse of the Jewish genocide," the deputy president of the Central Council of Jews in Germany, Dieter Graumann, said Thursday. "It is a scandal to exploit the murder of the Jews in order to symbolize the people's desire to smoke."

The shirt features a yellow Star of David similar to the one Jews were forced to wear under the Nazis. The world [sic] "smoker" is written across the star instead of "Jew."

Graumann said the sale of the T-shirt did nothing to help German smokers. Instead, it reminded Germans — Jews and otherwise — of worse times, he said.

"It is unimaginative, brainless and tasteless," he said.

Dennis Kramer, who was listed as the contact for the site, told The Associated Press Friday that he had not actually sold any shirts, nor had any even been made, despite a declaration on the site that 1,000 shirts had been sold since December.

"That 1,000 T-shirts were sold was a lie for promotional purposes," Kramer said.
