Oh my goodness . . . did you know that if you put a two year-old and a pumpkin patch together you are going to have a ridiculous amount of fun?!?!?!? Well, we didn't . . . . until we decided to head to Bill's Berry Farm last Saturday! We loaded the munchkins in the car (and brought 'Meme' too!) and drove the 35 minutes to this super fun pumpkin festival! Here is some of the fun . . .
Hayride to the pumpkin patch . . . . which Abigail enthusiastically calls the "punkin peeatch"
Abigail couldn't believe ALL the "punkins"!!!!
So . . . I told her she needed to pick one to take home with us . . .
naturally . . . she couldn't pick just one
Because she is quite meticulous she thought that if she gathered all "her" pumpkins in an organized group then Mom and Dad would let her bring them home . . . so she continued gathering . . .
She couldn't believe how many pumpkins were all "hers" . . . (neither could we . . .)
....While Abigail was busy gathering "her" pumpkins, Henry (our little "soul-man") took a break and chilled on a nearby pumpkin
...at this point other kids were starting to see that this girl was going to take all of the pumpkins, so other they started creating there own piles of pumpkins . . .
finally . . . one she couldn't pick up!!! :)
In order to save all the pumpkins from being taken by our daughter we sent her on a new mission . . . to pick out a perfect pumpkin for Henry . . .
Henry was super excited to have a little assistance in finding the perfect pumpkin and between the two of them we found it!!! yay! Henry's very 1st pumpkin!
Thank goodness we have an exceptionally well mannered little girl because she was willing to only bring home ONE of her 22 gathered pumpkins!
Next, we went into the apple orchard!!!!!!!
Abigail quickly discovered that there were apples (and leaves) that were all over the ground . . .
. . . after a quick assessment . . .
Abigail decided that these apples were "sad apples" and needed to be "fixed" . . .
...so she ran up and down the rows grabbing as many apples as she could and carefully placed them back "into" the tree . . . (or at least on top of the lowest branch)
...we have such a caring and thoughtful child....
Abigail asked Daddyo (yes, Abigail calls Jake "Daddyo") for some help because there were A LOT of apples and leaves to "fix" . . .
...and since Jake is the BEST DAD ON THE PLANET, he agreed to help "fix" those "sad apples"
Oh, I love my precious little girl!!! What a cutie pie!!!
(haha) . . . My Mom (aka Meme) found the most perfect apple in the entire orchard and ate it!! She decided it was the best apple she ever tasted . . . I actually agree . . . that apple was pretty AMAZING!
So, that ends our fun at Bill's Berry Farm (sorry, I didn't post any pictures of the "fruit fling", making fresh apple cider, the amazing homemade pumpkin donuts, the corn maze, and a few other fun things because nap time is coming to end and I must hurry if I am going to post this!! . . .)
After looking over all the pictures I realized that there is a serious shortage of Henry!!! Probably because I was taking a majority of the pics and Henry was wrapped up in his Moby with me . . .
So, here is our sweet little man....
3 months old ALREADY!!
I love this tradition . . . Jake reads to the kids every night before they go to bed. . . just looking at the pictures makes me smile!! I love my family!!!
Alright . . . until next time!! (which hopefully I wont procrastinate too long to post another update!!) Love to you all!!!
