Cricut Artfully Sent Class in February

Well, I am having my first Cricut Artfully Sent Class tomorrow and can’t wait to start sharing this great cartridge with friends.

The new Cricut Artfully Sent Collection is perfect to make any card you need.  This cartridge features pop-up, scene, sentiment, sleeve, pocket cards, and so much more.  Here is a look at the Cartridge Bundle and what comes with it.

  • 2" × 3½ (Y1009)

Today, I am here to share with you the projects that we will make in February for this class, 2 cards and an envelope.

Artfully Sent Class 02 (1)

This month we are going to focus on the sentiment key cards. First, I’ll start with the “Hello Sunshine” card.  This was actually designed by CTMH as a make-n-take at last year’s Convention.

Artfully Sent Class 02 (4)

It is so simple.  I cut the card from Kraft cardstock and then just backed the “openings” with various other colors of paper.

Artfully Sent Class 02 (2)

This is the 2nd card that we will make.  Again just cut the card (I chose Canary cardstock) and back the “opening” with paper of your choice (I chose a sheet from the Paper Fundamentals pack).  This key also features an image of a bunny, so I had to add that to the card front as well.

Artfully Sent Class 02 (3)

The Cricut Artfully Sent Collection comes with 3 great stamp sets.  Here I used the Just to Say (D1629) and Curlicue Frames (D1631) stamp sets on the inside of the card.

You can create these 2 cards and envelope by joining me at my next Cricut Class, Saturday, February 28 at 9am in my studio in Amelia, VA.

Cost is $12 if you own the Artfully Sent Cartridge. Simply bring your Cricut, Artfully Sent Cartridge Bundle, and I'll supply the rest and walk you through the cuts.

Cost is $24 if you don't own the Artfully Sent Cartridge, because I'll cut all of your pieces for you ahead of time.

Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to the Close To My Heart Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!

14-10b

This month we have 73 Consultants featuring the October Stamp of the Month, Home for the Holidays, a set of 7 stamps.  This stamp set is only available during the month of October.  Place an order of $50 and get the Stamp of the Month for just $5.

14-10a

If you have come here from Stefani Ewing’s Blog you are on the right path! If you get lost along the way you can find the complete list on Melinda’s Blog here.

I created a simple card for the make-n-take for my All-Day Crop this month.

SOM 10 Home for the Holidays (1)

I used Glacier Cardstock as my base and created my own piece of patterned paper with the candy image stamped in Cranberry ink and used the Chevron Border Punch along the bottom of that piece of paper.

The patterned paper is from the Snowhaven Paper Packet and I added a small strip of silver glitter paper from the Black & Grey Glitter Paper pack.

SOM 10 Home for the Holidays (2)

So I really wanted to use the postcard stamp with the polar bear.  (Side note, I just love to watch polar bears at the zoo, if I could own one I would.)  Now to really make the polar bear and this stamp stand out I stamped it 4 times.  That’s right, 4 times each in a different color, Whisper, Glacier, Black, Cranberry.

Since this image coordinates with the Art Philosophy cartridge I stamped it in Whisper ink on my Cricut cut so that I wouldn’t have to cut it out.  From the Glacier stamp cut out the large rectangle.  From the Black stamped image cut out just the polar bear being sure not to leave a black border around the image.  Then from the Cranberry image just cut out the scarf.  Then paper piece the images together.  So easy and a great look.

Now it is time to hop over to Jacquelin Green’s Blog to see what she has created!

Free To Be Me & May SOTM (1)

Free To Be Me & May SOTM (1a)
Here is a close-up of the tag stamped with the May SOTM, You’ve Got a Friend.  I simply stamped it once on the tag in Crème Brulee Ink and then again on scrap paper in Lagoon Ink and cut out on the word “Friend”.  I then adhered the word “Friend” with 3-D Foam Tape on top of the tag.  Easy peesy, but with a POP.
Products used:
Flight of Arrows Stamp Set (D1578)
Teal Shimmer Trim (Z1918)

THANK YOU for supporting my business!

To anyone who has attended a Scrapbooking Class, Card Workshop, Crop, or any other event of mine - THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!  I am so grateful to you for supporting my business this year.

For those ladies that purchased monthly or attend my monthly Scrapbooking Club I held my 2nd annual (free of charge) Club Member Christmas Party Crop this past Saturday, December 8.  Everyone brought a dish to share and a gift to exchange plus tons of scrappin' supplies to work on their projects.  We had a blast!

Each person also received the supplies to create this Make-N-Take page.  I took everyone's picture and provided them with all of the paper and embellishments.  I also offered amazing specials on my inventory as well as discounted and free product for orders.

This was just one of the ways that I could say THANK YOU to them for supporting my business.

Ladies, THANK YOU again from the bottom of my heart.  You are true friends and I am forever grateful.  Jaime

Join us for next month's CROP

Boy did we have a good time 2 weeks ago. It was another All-Day Crop in the Studio with 7 ladies in attendance.
The create-n-take was a super cute photo holder. I got the idea for this from Rebekah Garrison (another CTMH consultant). I used the My Creations Collage Cubes and the Foundry Pin Clips as well as one of our newest paper collections called Footloose.
If you need some time to craft then be sure to join us next month on Saturday, April 14 from 9a-9pm in my Studio. Cost is just $35 and includes lunch, dinner, a project, and prizes.

This is Why!

This is why I haven't posted anything in over 2 months. This is our detached 4 car garage that we have been building since last fall.
The upstairs is where I will now host all of my workshops, classes, crops, retreats, and music lessons. We have been working like crazy to finish it. There is still a lot of painting and fine touches that need to be finished.
Our goal was to have it functional for my 3rd Semi-Annual Slumber Party Retreat August 20-21 and functional it was.
The ladies showed up Saturday morning to a beautifully painted room complete with their own 5' hard wood table and rolling task chair to scrap the weekend away on. I promise I'll post more photos of the weekend soon.
In the meantime, we are up and running and I'm having my next event this Saturday, September 3 from 9a-9p. Come to an All-Day Crop for only $35; lunch and dinner included as well as a project and prizes. Email me before Thursday if you are interested.
