Check Us Out...

Sugar Cookies...Mmmm....
So this is close to the finished product. They came out just shortly before the kidies were due into bed. They were each allowed to have one of their choice, but frosting them would have to wait until the morning. Gennovah had a blast and in the morning she woke up and asked, "More cookies a-day (today) mommy?"
Little Chefs...
Last year for Christmas, Gennovah received a cookie book with tiny cookie cutters and I made a promise that we would make some this year. She was quite the helper, wanting to put everything in herself and mixing everything. It was hard for Boston to get in the picture to help out. Licking the beaters was the best part of this adventure as the douch had to chill and it was bedtime. In the morning Gennovah asked, "Cookies a-day (today) Mommy?"
Gotta Love Crayola...
Why didn't I invent these? Amazing thing, markers that only write on paper. What is even better is that these two haven't seen these books in a couple of months so when I pulled them out they were excited as ever especially because the got to color with "markers!" I was amazed that it held them for 45 minutes! I was able to do two loads of laundy and put the dishes away without interruption. I can't believe how excited I was to get all that accomplished.
Hinders My Movement Mom...
So this is Boston's latest trend. He will sneak over to where he thinks we are not able to see him, and yep you guessed it, he takes off his pants. I am guessing that he just doesn't like to have them on. I try to keep his jeans clean at all times as these are harder for him to remove! Is that mean or should I not care? It's just with the winter months coming I want to make sure that he is warm but I have absolutely nothing against a little boy in a diaper running around the house :)
Finishing Touches...
Only a couple of ornaments were broken during the construction of the tree this year. I imagine there will be plenty in the future. The whole concept was new for Boston. He thought he could play with each ornament instead of putting it on the tree. And once it was on the tree, he thought he could take it off to play with it. Two steps forward and one step back, it took us a little while to put the tree up. Gennovah on the other hand made sure that each ornament had its own branch. It was cute to see her wake up from her nap because she wanted to see, "Christmas." The tree stays lit all day. They have a cow when I unplug it for their naps, so this is the year we will see how long the lights can go. It was a fun end to the day to get the tree up and see the kids smile as they helped accomplish this once a year feat.
A Litlle Early...
So Johnny left for South Carolina this week, but only until Wednesday morning! He will be back for Thanksgiving and we are so excited about that. So we decided to get the boxes down a little early and put up the tree so the kids could have time to adjust to it and of course so we could enjoy it. I know that it is a little early, but why not? If the stores can have Christmas out two weeks before Halloween then I can have it one week before Thanksgiving. It's my favorite time of year, so it is all justified :)
What Holds Our Attention...
So what is it you wonder that really holds our attention so much that we choose not to look at the camera when dad is taking this picture? Yes we are watching the tv, so that should give you a hint...
We smile and laugh and dance and sing when we see them on tv...and sometimes we even
WIGGLE(S)!
Yeah-who would have ever guessed that these four guys and their crew would be such a huge success. I am not sure why the kids enjoy watching them, they hardly see their show but when they do it is a fight to get them to do anything else, so I just give up and let Captain Feathersword win ;)
