LanTau Island 30th August

Was awoken by the sun today... the sun here in HK seems to rise a little earlier cuz at about 7 plus.. the sun is dem strong already.. strong enough to wake me from my slumber..i'm quite a deep sleeper.. so how bad is that?!

well i met my friends and we went down to Maxim Palace to have our long awaited Dim Sum!! I came across this Dim Sum restaurant on yahoo and thus we made our way down to see how fantastic it was.. well that wasnt before we got lost a thousand times along the way.. 3 girls with 2 maps and all having very bad sense of directions.. but i'm proud to say.. we managed to find our way there after about an hour or so.. i have no idea how long we walked though..but its ok.. can slim down!!

tah-dah..Maxim Palace Restaurant! its located at City Hall and it has a seaview! but you'd have to call in advance to make a booking if you want to have a good seat.. the dim sum was quite good.. but i must admit i was a little disappointed cuz it was not as fantastic as i thought it would be.. the exterior and interior was dem nice.. i guess i expected too much of it.. good dim sum like the one served here can be found in SG.. so i hope i'll be able to taste even better ones!

Look at the lights!! my eyes couldnt leave it when i saw it ok.. i was walking around with my eyes glued to it.. look totally SUKU.. haha.. astounding!

the very conventional dim-sum trolley.. it was so cool!! reminds me of the days when my family would go to toa payoh to eat dim sum.. and the ladies would push the trollies while calling out what they had in the trays..haha so cool! -dim sum, siew mai, hakkao..anyone??-

The Seaview from Maxim.. well you cant really see it clearly cuz we were seated in the middle of the room..heh

Breakfast! Our very first breakfast in Hong Kong. And at such a nice place! So delightful!! =D we couldnt wait to start on it.. we took a few more pictures while wolfing down the food.. so the pictures are not suitable for public viewing..(fine i'm just lazy but i'm on a tight schedule now!)

Next up.. going towards LanTau Island..the place where you can see the world's largest outdoor bronze buddha statue.

On the Ferry to Lantau Island..

Finally on Lantau Island.. i thought it would be like Pulau Ubin cuz it was all trees and greenery all around.. but look what we saw! Macdonalds!

It was just a hilly area and its just amazing cuz there were semi-detached houses here and there and even a school! (first picture) we evern saw cows grazing on grass! i couldnt take them cuz the bus was going at a speed of a rocket.. but to them its just their usual leisurely drive.. like really. well i was thinking pictures cant really tell you everything cuz you have to experience it yourselves! Like the pictures of the mountains and scenery.. they seem like nothing on pictures but they reeeally are breath-taking when you are standing there just this close to them.. and no i'm not giving excuses for my sub-standard photography.

Pictures can tell you a thousand words.. but when u're here yourself, it says EVERYTHING! like you cant tell from the 2 pictures above that i was on the bus and about to die from trying not to puke can you.. nor can you tell that i almost ruined my camera lenses cuz it kept bumping into the bus windows when i was snapping shots. but i'm not complaining. really.

one last picture before we arrive at our destination..
the Seaview along the journey to Ngong Ping Village..

And finally..

The very Grand Buddha Statue..i got a shock when i saw it.. not because of its colossal size.. but because i thought it would be made of gold and not bronze.. =.=
how could such a big thing be made of gold..one word: Suku

ok i'm kinda tired of describing all the pictures.. so the next few were actually taken on our way up to the statue. oh by the way.. for those who want to know.. the ferry ride was HKD 22.. which is about S$4.. and the bus ride was HKD16.. which is about S$3.20.. quite expensive for a terrible experience of bumping and being scared out of ur wits..and of course the entrance ticket to the inside of the Buddha Statue was HKD23.. very worth it cuz you get to see stuff..and get a coupon which you can redeem for snacks offered near the Po Lin Monastery.

i realised that i didnt take a picture of the buddha statue when i reached the top.. maybe i was overwhelmed by the height..(it was over 500 meters high up ok!) aiya.. sheesh anyway.. here's a picture of the view from over 500 metres high up..

bet you couldnt tell that this pic wasnt taken by me right.. HAHA.. well i was too scared to go to the edge to take a picture cuz it was so high up.. and there was wind! what if it blew me away into the sea!! ahhh~! anywayz.. the main point being.. you guys have to come here! although i would say if you have a serious case of motion sickness.. you might wanna try the helicopter instead of the bus..

oh well.. we spent quite some time taking pictures of the scenery around..(ok fine i was just plastering myself to the inner walls cuz i was scared..but sophia and jillian were taking pictures alright..) and then we headed down to the monastery for the snacks!

looking at the pictures i took.. it kinda reminds me of pictures an old lady would take.. you know those aunties that go on a china tour.. they like going to temples and nunneries..anyway..

snack time!

well we took a bus back to the MTR at Tung Chung and spent abit of time walking around in quite a big mall recommended by King.. look what i found at the hypermart..

Canned Vitasoy!! Amazing!! i've never seen it before!! (kinda sounds like Mr Weasley who's fascinated with Muggle stuff ay? lolz)

And last shot of the day taken for Yue.. i didnt see him on the streets.. but i did see his advertisement..=p

i'm not a fan of him so i'm hoping this is actually Stephen Fung? If it was just some random model.. it would have been so retarded of me standing in the middle of the street taking a photo of him? Yue Tell me this is him! lolz..

alright.. finally completed this blog.. i've spent hours on it.. just for you guys..
good night people!

Mongkok today! (29th Aug)

29th Aug

i went to Tsim Tsa Tsui ( i dont knw if its spelt that way but i'm too lazy to check it) and Avenue of Stars yesterday.. and also to Temple Street.. a place that has make-shift stalls lined up along the roads.. the way pasar malams are like in Sg.. Temple Street is supposed to be like a place full of perverts and also a place where prostitutes go to eh..make a living..this is accoriding to a hongkee friend of mine, aka King. I was asking him how come we didnt encounter anyone asking us to do business and he laughed it off saying maybe it was because our figures were no good..=.= i've got very nice friends as you can see.

today! we went to mongkok.. and there were tons of people around! its like usually you dont see many people in Orchard Road during weekday afternoons.. but noo.. at Mongkok.. its like the whole of Singapore was there(except that its just HK) cuz there was just sooo much people..

My two mates from NTU.. we depend on each other like for nuts.. we've gotten lost tgt.. been thru the pouring rain tgt.. climbed a thousand steps tgt.. lol..what would i do without them?! - nothing.. i'll just stay in hall and rot..

Jillian and me at lunch.. and guess what we had for lunch in Mongkok?? =P

fried rice and almond tea for me!! =D sophia had some sort of noodles and cold milk tea while Jillian had Fried Rice with salted fish and hot milk tea.. we had trouble ordering cuz we didnt know how to read the menu.. they inscribed everything in ancient writings on a stone.. haha just kidding.. everything was in fan ti zi la.. how to read! siao..

isnt this awesome! they made this out of paper.. its so cute! and there's more to come.. huili will love this.. right?? =D

oh i went to Sino centre.. i love that place! i wanna bring you guys there when all of you come over.. (if i remember how to get there lolz) they have lots of Dong Bang stuff!! and lots of soft toys and cutey stuff.. oh by the way Yue, there was a origami kuromi but it was in the shop so i couldnt take a picture of it.. dont say i didnt think of you when i am here k.. oh but i didnt see any Gackt stuff..the shops were all selling Fahrenheit, Rain, DongBang stuff..i'll still keep a lookout tho'! shinpai o shinai hong san.. lolz

ok this is amazing.. they have a mahjong club and the exterior of it looks so magnificient already.. i could hear the tiles from outside..its so cool! but i guess only the rich and the bored go there..ha!

ok i gtg now! i'm going to Central to Yum-Cha.. and then later on my friends and i are going to Lantau island! will take more pictures!!

Missing you guys and Jae every min!

pictures up!

27th August

i'm not a fantastic photographer so i'm not sure what you guys will make out of these pictures.. HA!
somehow i wanted to take pictures of all the beautiful, bright city lights.. the weird stuff and i dont know la.. anything that would not be seen in Sg.. but somehow they always seem to turn out that ordinary pictures that are cut off in some way.. lol.. but anyway i figured i should post some pictures up while i've still got time..

the first is a picture of andy lau's handprints taken from the walkway of the Avenue of Stars.. its kinda like the Walk of Fame in Hollywood.. i was trying to spot for handprints of Dong Bang Shin Ki's cuz they went there before.. but i looked kinda retarded staring at people's shoes cuz there were so many people around.. but anyway i dont think they have their prints there.. i read somewhere that the organisers are currently working on a special project for DB's prints to be put on somewhere more spectacular.. (fine i made that up..)

anyway the second one is tony leung's.. the other prints were like from people i never heard of.. so i didnt take them.. =p

this is a picture i took on the way to school from the airport.. i was kinda shocked when i saw all the mountains lined up.. i mean i thought hk was like heavily populated and they had tall buildings all around.. but i didnt know there were mountains!! ha!

these are pictures of a very nice bridge i passed on my way to sch..i thought it was nice.. but looking at the picture now.. i realise i have not much to say about it other than - its a nice bridge.

another picture taken on my phone.. i guess i was just fascinated by everything i saw.. it kinda looks ordinary now.. lolz

finally in hk! but so unsettled!!

officially registered as a hku student since i've gotten my Student ID card.. i got that after endless walks and climbing of stairs ok..

i realised i totally under-packed cuz its only the second day and i am out of clothes to wear. i dont have bed sheets either and my room-mate is not here yet.. so i bunked in with my friend last night.

internet connection is not up. so i cant go online to chat. i feel so disconnected with the world!! i miss all my ching-gu ne!

the weather here is CRAZY! it can be so hot and sunny and pouring at the same time. and the wind here is sheesh! can seriously blow me away. i had a hard time fighting with the wind over the umbrella just now. ITS MINE!

the good thing is the people here are like dem helpful.. they'll just come over and ask if you need help.. the thing is.. some are quite nasty.. but you just have to be nice to them and everything will go your way..

students here in hku speak really good english.. those ppl that i met.. they have accents ok! and we get identified everywhere we go.. me and my friends.. cuz hk ppl all recognize our "very-different English".

lots of things to buy.. lots of things to do.. and very scared to sleep. not a good start at all.. OH but the view from my room is dem nice and i saw Fireworks last night.. but i was too scared to take a picture cuz i was alone and afraid that i might see something other than the fireworks..

thats all.. gtg now..love you all.

i hate the chinese organizers in Shang Hai

they sold the tickets for a high price. they let the boys stay for the fanmeet for such a short time. they made them disappointed. THEY MADE JAE CRY!! I hate them!!! when i read it i felt like crying too.. this is one of the few times i really feel like spewing vulgarities, expletives.. whatever. i'm truly controlling it and .. i dont know what to say.. i'm just so sad.. i wanna hug jae and tell him him its ok. T_T I promise when i go meet dbsk i wont follow them.. i wont put them in danger.. i hope all the fans out there wont as well.. but i know some wont. especially those particularly selfish ones.. from a certain country.

jae dont cry. please.

*****
The Account from an Insider

Actually I don’t know where I should start writing from… After the Mnet 20s Choice Awards, the boys returned home to rest, they were all in good moods. On the morning of August 22ns at around 6am, I went with their manager to wake the boys up. Yunho had already taken out the shirts sent by his Baidu bar fans but they were all long-sleeved and unsuitable for the weather so unfortunately he had to place them back again (send him short-sleeved shirts next time =.=). After that, they were sent by their managers to the airport. After going through immigration checks the boys immediately rushed to the eating place =.=

Breakfast was noodles, they really had big appetites, I could only chew on bread at the side. Jaejoong was so tired he leaned on the side of the chair to continue sleeping, Yunho wore sunglasses and sat behind Jaejoong, Yoochun was playing games on his handphone opposite Yunho, while the two youngest were still battling with their noodles… We found that there were two fans who kept on following us, the fans now are really incredible, as long as they can follow, they will follow. After eating, we prepared to board the plane. This time’s seating in the airplane unexpectedly separated us and we were put in different classes, the boys were on business class while we took economy class, this really was… the first time. Because I had been wanting to give a surprise, the word “autograph” was written all over my face. Yunho saw me and asked a line: “What?” I was discovered… I could only take the chance while the manager wasn’t looking to take out the picture I wanted Yunho to sign and pass it to him. After speaking a few simple lines to him, I had to board to economy class with the manager, and those two fans followed the boys into the business class =.-=

Once the plane landed, we followed the passengers and walked slowly out of the plane, to see the five boys standing obediently at the side waiting for their manager =.= Good kids...Yunho took the chance when the manager was talking to Junsu to pass me the signed items, but his autograph is… “Yunho ah, why is it so shaky?” “Noona, when I was signing the plane was really shaky….” He said innocently. However the Chinese characters were really written, or rather drawn, very well. After a trip to the men’s, we reached the immigration checkpoint and Jaejoong had his passport in between his lips, his hand holding a pen. At this time I could already hear chants of “Dong Bang Shin Ki” coming from the fans, it was absolutely clear.

Because I cleared the checkpoint first, I sneaked out to have a look at the scene outside 0_0 There were so many banners… But the first I saw wasn’t the one from Yunho Baidubar but Changmin’s banner from his fans, it was really gigantic… It was comparable to the banners at Korea’s Dream Concert, and there were so many. This outshone Korea, at the very least, I had never seen so many Changmin banners in Korea. When Cody unni called me back, I ran to Changmin’s side and told him about the banners, he smiled really happily. But later on the security at the airport told the manager that there were too many fans outside, they were afraid that it might result in a clash between the fans and the other passengers, so they hoped that we would be able to walk through the VIP exit. Looking at the fans outside, I felt really sorry for them, waiting for so long but still unable to take a look at the boys. The smile on Yoochun was wiped off and Yunho turned his head to look at the banners at the exit, before following the airport security through the VIP exit to the car that was waiting outside.

But the fans were still really incredible, some managed to follow our car. The manager asked the driver to find a way to lose the fans, he was speeding, it was really dangerous. So please don’t try to follow the car anymore next time, because this is really dangerous for the boys, especially when we meet with roads without speed limits. When we reached the arts hub, we actually wanted to go in straight, but we didn’t realise that there were so many fans. Once they saw our car they practically mobbed us. The fans were banging on the car windows and you can hear the sound of the banging, it was really scary. I was absolutely worried that the glass will break ~ Changmin and Junsu looked really shocked and scared and looked out of the windows not knowing what to do. The manager could only ask the driver to drive away fast. From the window I could see many fans following the car, really worried for them, but I’m even more worried that people might do reckless actions.

After the car reached the carpark, we could only wait inside the car without coming out. But as the time drew nearer, we still could not find any safe way out. In the end we changed the car and the staff used the first car to draw away the fans, and changed and did make up inside the new car. Speaking of changing, I could only sit inside the car, using the manager’s jacket to cover myself (so she wouldn’t be able to see anything). My imagination was really running wild as I could hear the rustle of clothes all over.=.=

We continued waiting inside the car for very long, really had no choice. In the end the boys entered the arts hub so tiredly. While resting in the waiting room, I heard that this fanmeeting actually had entrance tickets, and the prices were shockingly high. Why is it like that? The version I heard at first was that the fans got in by a lucky draw, why isn’t it like that? The workers from the Korea branch all heard of the news and were discussing whether anyone even came when the prices were so high. At this time the manager came over and warned us not to tell the boys. How could we tell them, it was too much for them to handle… But I still felt that Jaejoong knew, because when we were about to enter, I saw him using his hands to pat his cheeks lightly. I thought that he felt uncomfortable, so I went over to ask him, but he said that he was just nervous.

But later on what I discovered made me confirm that this kid knew the truth.. .Aish… Later on, amidst loud calls of “Dong Bang Shin Ki”, the boys finally met the 200 fans. I stood at the side looking at the crowd and finally felt touched. The fans were really great and orderly and followed well when the media was taking photos. The five boys really gave the organizers face, and drank the 7% drinks on the table, Yoochun and Junsu were investigating the packaging and looked quite happy. Yoochun even asked me backstage why they printed Hangul on Chinese products, and told me that their picture was too small… For this I was unable to explain why. When I was thinking that everything was going smoothly, I found out that not everyone who came was able to get an autograph and things weren’t going as they hoped. What were the organizers thinking? In a scene of confusion and noise, the boys left, Jaejoong who was at the backstage had red-rimmed eyes, but told me that he was just touched by the fans… Hope that he won’t blame things on himself, because this isn’t his fault…

We returned to the manager’s car and drove to the airport again. It was quiet in the car, the boys were tired, but maybe they could also have felt the fans’ disappointment. I sighed unknowingly and Yunho turned around to look at me, I could only smile and turn away… After seeing them enter the airport, I returned home alone in the car…

I want to say here that, as a person who has gone through the same experience as the boys in Shanghai, everything at the airport really left a deep impression on me. I could really see your love for them, it is a really deep love, all the preparation and hard work put in, we all understood, the boys also understand. But despite the deep love you have for the boys, please consider the boys’ feelings, don’t try to follow them in the car, and even more so, don’t surround their car, it is dangerous for both parties. Although the organisers’ arrangement made all of us tired, we understood everyone’s intentions, the boys’ have also told me that they really want to come to Shanghai to hold a concert, but we can’t decide everything, so please be more patient alright? Don’t hate the boys just because of this event or say pessimistic words, your support is extremely important to them!

Love you Jae. =)

Sound of colours

GUESS WHAT MAN!! 2 VERY good news..
Firstly, i was looking at the U-Weekly for this week and i chanced upon this section which features on the latests albums and vcds and all.. and they featured DBSK!! it was a small section..but i loved the way they phrased everything!! it was so touching when i read it.. It was actually the Rising Sun Concert DVD and they described it as a concert full of tears and etc.. AWWW!!! Anyway it was AWESOME!! I've watched the DVD twice.. and i loved it..Although Jae hadnt recovered then, they tried to fit him in the best they could.. and some parts of it showed him doing silly stuff..lol ROAR.. i love him so much.

secondly..MUAHAHA.. i was watching My Girl.. and then in each disc they would have a track introducing other dramas.. i chanced upon this movie that was screened a few years back.. called 地下铁..or aka Sound of Colors..
anyway the main point is NOT the show.. it was the song that came with it..
i dont know who were the singers.. i think it sounded like the duo from Taiwan called J-S..
anyway..they actually took it from Miduhyo (I Believe) of DBSK's!!)AHHHH!!!
