Good morning, did that bring back memories for anyone? well its time for a fabulous new challenge over at Crafty Catz and our wonderful teamie Nick has chosen a fantastic theme this week.  She wants us to use Storybooks and Nursery Rhymes as the inspiration for our cards.  What a fun theme! and to top that off we have a fantastic sponsor again for you this week in the shape of:

Fabulous and the DT ladies got to play with some wonderful Bugaboo images.  I chose this cute little cowboy and my inspiration came from the nursery rhyme Horsey, horsey.  I have used my copics to colour the image and the papers are very old and are from my stash box I think they are HOTP, then I added some cream cs to mat, cut the stars and sentiment ribbon slider, the ribbon and little wooden star buttons are from my stash.  I really hope you can join in with our fun challenge this week, you know we are all looking forward to seeing what stories and rhymes inspire you.  Do check out the Crafty Catz blog for more wonderful inspiration.

A Fancy Fold or Two

Good morning it's Friday so that means it's time for a new challenge over at Crafty Catz and this week we are looking for 'Fancy Folds' and we have a great sponsor for you too.

So onto my card, I used the cute Valentine Heart Girl digi stamp from Alota and coloured her with my copics, cut her out with a nestie and added some faux stitching.  then I made a diamond top card and used papers from First Edition Family Ties, finished off with a Crafty Sentiments vintage label die cut, stamped sentiment and some bakers twine.

Buttons

This week over at Crafty Sentiments the wonderful Caz has asked to see our buttons!  So the DT have worked their magic and got their buttons out on show for your inspiration, and wow what wonderful projects they have come up with!

The prize this week is 

and now onto my project, well my daughter Ria is at the moment in the middle of her exams and is looking forward June 19 when they will all be over (except the wait for the results!) so she has been and still is busy revising so I made this little hanger to fix on her door for when its all over!  I cut it out using the Cricut and paper from First Editions, the sentiment is also cut using the Cricut with the help of the Gypsy to weld the lettering together.  I have used the sweet image 'Jasmin Warm Cuppa' which is available from Crafty Sentiments Designs, mounted her at the bottom of the bunting using foam tape and then put a selection of flowers and pearl strands behind her.  My buttons are at the top where I have added some organza ribbon for hanging it.

Get In Shape!

With a shaped card that is! lol Thats the challenge this week over at Divas By Design and we have a fabulous sponsor in the shape of

So on to my card, well I was in need of a baby card so turned to my trusty Cricut and found a cute babies bottle on the Doodlecharm cartridge then I found the baby on the New Arrival cartridge which I cut from white card and coloured with Spectrum Noirs.  The ticket die cut and sentiment is from a set but I can't remember whose :-( sorry.  wasn't sure at first if I could use such a sentiment but it just made me smile so I went with it (also checked with my mum and mad her laugh so can't be bad! lol)  Although it is a simple card I'm rather pleased with it.

Bath Time

I've been enjoying my weekend off and playing in my craft room (done some chores too!) and decided to have a play with another of The Paper Shelter images that I won recently.  My inspiration for this card came from the background paper which is First Editions Dreamcatcher.  I paper pieced the bath and coloured the rest of the image with my copics then added copious amounts of Glitz It glitter glue and Stickles, used some silver mirriboard for the die cut corners, some ribbon, flowers and pearl heart from my stash, then finished off with a little peeloff sentiment.  Hope you like it.

So I thought this time I'd make something that wasn't a card and I decided to make a folding gift wallet for cds, as I need to send some to my mum.  I used 'Rock Chic' from KennyK coloured with copics, papers are all from PM Happy Days pad, the 'Mum' is cut on the Cricut and I have used a corner die,  

the sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps Fast Lane and I've added some glitter card around the sentiment,  

and the inside also has the corner die cuts using a glitter card.  The wallet is then held closed using some small magnets.

Time to go hoppin'

Yep! It's Friday 10 May and that means release day at Crafty Sentiments Designs and excitingly its a blog hop too with the chance of a prize!  All you need to do to be in with a chance of winning is to leave a comment on the 8th /9th /10th on the Inspirational blog, become a follower if you're not already and also visit and leave a comment on all participating blogs on the 10th.

Right onto my card, well you should have arrived here from Cathy's  blog and for my card I have used the adorable image 'Primrose the Mermaid' I have coloured her with copics and paper pieced her tail with some textured holographic shiny paper.  I used an aperture card and placed some swirly embossed acetate in front of the image to give an impression of water, wasn't sure if it would work but I actually like the way it turned out.  I added some swirly die cut corners, branches and found a VERY old resin type sticker.

Preview Day 2

Yay today is day 2 of previewing the amazing new collection of stamps from Crafty Sentiments Designs.  They will ALL be available from midnight on Friday 10 May, how exciting, you are going to love them all!  I do! Ok so today we get to share with you 'Jasmin Swim with Me', 'Annabel Sail with Me' and 'Summer Time'.  I have used Annable Sail with Me, coloured with copics and spectrums, papers are First Editions Family Ties, bunting cut with Cricut, other dies are x-cut (recent purchase) and I finished off with some gems, flowers and die cut sentiment and a triple bow made from bakers twine.

Use a sentiment

Good morning, wow I don't know about you but I had a really busy weekend, unfortunately I had to work, (Fri, Sat, Sun & Mon) but got the day off today! I hope you had a more enjoyable bank holiday weekend and got to enjoy some sun :-)  

Being as it is now Tuesday that means a new challenge over at Crafty Sentiments and this week Cathy would like to see you use a sentiment, did you know that Crafty Sentiments Designs has some great sentiment sets? well they do! and I used one of the Ticket sentiments for my card, along with the stamp (or rather top portion of the stamp!) Annabel Sweet Treat.  I have coloured with my copics, my papers are First Edition Family Ties and some green and Kraft cs.  Then I decided to make a matching lolly embellishment using my bakers twine,like the way it turned out and finished off with some die cuts and gems.

So onto my card, for my image which is LOTV Maisie 2 balloons, it really couldn't be anything else but Nena - 99 Red Balloons! Coloured the image with my copics and added 3d glaze to the balloons, papers are Kraft and MME Kraft Funday.  The sentiment has been heat embossed and is a stamp from TGF, flowers and wire are from my stash.
