Time Flies

Just where does the time go? My last post was over a month ago, l cannot believe it!
Here is my layout for BITW using the word BREATHE.

The papers are from Simple Stories. and the layout came together quickly.
I have hidden journalling under the smaller photos explaining Tom competing in his last cross country at school.

Using a stencil, l added some texture paste and machine stitching to the top third of the layout.

Here is another layout using those gorgeous papers and embellishments from Prima
I really love these bright colours. This is a recent photo of my Alana and myself.

I did some distressing and stamping, made some paper rosettes, added liquid pearls to the punched pattern paper, as well as to the inked chipboard fence.
The journalling is hidden under the photo and forms part of the title.

Christmas is quickly approaching and it's a busy time of year for everyone.
I hope it's a good time for you all :)

October Sketch

Another sketch is up at MCS

This is my take

The papers and embellishments are all Prima.
I have distressed 4 papers and used these as my backgrounds, to which l gave two a decorative punched edge.
I cut out some scalloped circles and layered these on doillies
My journalling is on the hidden tag with the orange ribbon.
The small flowers have been pulled apart and layered.
I added some buttons in similar colours and a little bit of bling

Thanks for looking.
If you are having a bet on the Melbourne Cup today, l hope you back a winner!

Another One

My entry for Bird is the Word
Spring/Summer/Winter/Fall are the words to be used somewhere on your layout.
I chose Summer as my word

Here is my take using papers from Simple Stories, which made up the  MCS August Main kit

Here are some close ups

Everything coordinates so well with. All l had to do was layer up some elements, add some ink, a little decorative edging, some liquid pearls and bingo l'm finished.
Thanks for looking and leave a comment if you like. I love reading them!

Music

Yes l am back after being AWOL for a few months. I am settling into a new house and have finally got the internet up and running. I cannot believe how reliant on Wi Fi l am.
I see l am up to double figures in followers as well, thanks girls :)

Music is one of the current words being used over at BTW. I know my life wouldn't be the same without music and here is my layout. We hired a DJ for Tom's 18th birthday and while he wasn't looking the girls couldn't miss a photo opportunity

I used a mixture of papers on this layout, some old and some new. Inked everything, layered flowers, buttons and chipboard, stamped some clocks, added a bling swirl, cut out some PP, inked flowers and added glitter to the large white flower. This one and the pink one are from Manorhouse Creations. The lettering is a mix of Basic Grey and Pink Paislee.

Thanks for looking and remember to keep smiling:)

Scrap the Girls

The challenge over at Scrap the Girls for this month is to use Sports or Action photos.
Here is my take using a picture of Alana taken on holidays at the beach up at 1770 in Queensland.

I have used papers from Pink Paislee, Simple Stories, Websters and Creative Imaginations.
I just love these colours!!
Embellishments are Pink Paislee chipboard stickers and rub ons, Echo Park stickers and Prima flowers and butterfly.
The Cherish stamp is from Kaiser
I have added liquid pearls and the little stars are made with texture paste and a mask

Thanks for looking and feel free to leave a comment.

August Sketch

Happy Sunday everyone!!
Another month, another sketch to be done over at MCS and here is the sketch for September

Here is my take using papers from Simple Stories

Here are some close ups

Once l had cut out pieces from the PP'S this came together pretty quickly with layering and popping up certain elements. I am totally addicted to Liquid Pearls which l used in different colours to outline some of the shapes. Everything was inked and l found an old transperency which l tucked under my photo on the left side. Cut out some paper flowers, added some twine and Prima flowers and l'm done.

Thanks for looking, please leave a comment and join my blog if you wish.
