Photo Shoot

For those of you that haven't seen it yet, we had some pictures of Camryn and our family taken. I was really pleased with the way they turned out. If you want to see them go to:

Camryn update - 2 months old

Camryn had her 2 month check up and is doing great!!!
Ht: 23 inches (75%)
Wt: 11 lbs. 10 oz. (75%)
She is clearly eating well and growing like a weed! At 2 months she was already smiling AND laughing out loud! She is also a very good sleeper and is sleeping through the night. She eats at about 9 p.m. and usually sleeps about 8 hours! She has already graduated from the bassinet to the crib -- a move that was much harder for mommy than it was for her! She is a very good baby and only fusses when she is tired or hungry. So far she still has blonde hair and blue eyes. Her personality is showing more and more and we are so excited about seeing what she is going to be like! God has truly blessed us with another beautiful baby girl!

Jacey Update: 3 years old

Ht: 3 ft. 1 in. (50%)

Wt: 31 pounds (50%)

3 year old Jacey is happy and healthy and continues to amaze her mommy daddy by how smart she is every day!! She knows so much already: her phone number, the town she lives in (as well as where everybody in our family lives), how to spell her first and last name (she also knows how to spell bath, Camryn, cat and go), how to write her name (even though all the letters are not all together), how to count to 20 (and can count to 7 in Spanish). She can recognize most all her letters and numbers and is even working on sounding out words! She loves to learn new things and gets really excited when she does. She is soooo excited about turning 3 and her favorite thing to say these days is "I can do that now because I am 3 years old!" She also just realized that since she turned 3 she can now reach the light in the bathroom and turn it on "all by herself without even standing on a stool!!" That was an amazing moment in her life!

Her favorite foods are pop tarts, mac & cheese and she also loves "snacks." Her favorite TV shows are Dora and Diego (hence the Spanish) and her favorite movie right now is "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." Her favorite book is Mother Goose and she can recite EVERY nursery rhyme in the book word for word! She likes to play hide-n-seek and chase with her daddy and anytime she has to do anything she wants to race! But her absolute FAVORITE thing to do right now is color - especially with Color Wonders Markers and coloring books (or magic coloring books as she calls them.) She likes to jump and dance (this is her 2nd year of taking dance class) and she LOVES being a BIG SISTER!!! She is very good at helping with her new baby sister and often knows exactly what Camryn wants when she is crying! She is still very shy and wont talk to many people outside of the family until she has been around them for a while (I say she has to "preheat"). She is very observant and picks up on everything really quickly. She is truly a joy to be around and I can't imagine life without her! I can't wait to see what this year will bring! I love you Sugar Bee!!!

Halloween

This was Camryn's very first Halloween!! We got a last minute costume and she was Daddy's little Pumpkin!!
Jacey's costume is quite another story... She and I looked at several different costumes online and she decided she wanted to be Little Bo Peep. I was super excited because I thought it would be so cute to have Camryn be a little sheep. I found someone who actually had both costumes and was going to borrow them but the little bo peep was too big for Jacey. So I was just going to order one off the internet. Jarrett decided all this trouble was rediculous and that we should just take her to Target and let her be Dora or something. So I said fine and off they went and this is what they came home with...girl on a horse!!! So just to make it a little more festive we decided to be "A Princess on a Unicorn" and there you have it. This is why you can never leave a daddy unattended!

Our first stop was Maggie's house! She was the cutest little flower I have ever seen!!

Jacey had a good time trick-or-treating although she wouldn't say "Trick-or-Treat" when she went to the door (imagine that). She still got lots of candy and had a good time going door to door with Mee-Mee and Pops. Let's go home Pops!

Did Freddie Send You??

For those of you that participate in the college football pickem, you may know my father-in-law, Freddie Tate. He often rants on the trashboard in extremely incoherent messages. Well, I usually don't even read the trashboard but this time I was alerted that he had gone too far. For those of you who haven't seen it, here is his latest post:

For all of you Aubs surfing the internet(and we all know where you go)try a family oriented webpage. Type in jaceyspage.blogspot.com and scan down the pictures until you see my beautiful granddaugter caught up in the action of the Alabama-Tennessee game. Notice the finger that she is holding up. Even a 3 year old knows where the Crimson Tide is going to be for years (AGAIN).I was brought to tears when she said,"Popsie, when I grow up, I want to be just like Coach Saban". Shaking that crimson shaker would have made her mommy proud. Her plans are to graduate with honors from Vestavia and be the head cheerleader at the University of Saint Nick. This game was the first of many Crimson Tide dominations for this young lady. Her mommy is going to be soooo proud.

Freddie, I hate to have to break it to you like this but I chose that picture just to create an illusion that Jacey was actually having fun. Here are what ALL the other pictures from that same night look like:

Yup!! Sure looks like she is having a fabulous time! The #1 was probably just like Alabama's season...a fluke! I think she was actually just about to pick her nose! WAR EAGLE!!!

What is this?!?!?!

These are pictures of Jacey getting ready for Halloween night. She is really into make-up right now and LOVES to put on lip gloss. She really gets carried away with it sometimes as you can see. Anyway, I thought she looked cute in her rollers and lip gloss so I decided to take a few pictures. I told her to pose for me and I'm not sure what these poses are...gang signs perhaps???

The Pumpkin Patch

We loaded up and made the trip to the Pumpkin Patch in Hayden. We had a lot of fun although Jarrett Spann mis-predicted the weather and encouraged us to all wear summer attire...We froze!!!
Jacey posing with her pumpkin. For 3 days she talked about how she was going to pick the biggest pumpkin they had but when it came right down to it, she opted for one she could actually pick up!

Jacey really likes the pony rides

This year she even got to do this trampoline thing and she actually jumped very high! She wasn't afraid at all!!

Camryn stayed bundled up almost the entire time. She was only 5 weeks old!!

Jacey goes to Gatlinberg

Jarrett took Jacey on a trip to Gatlinberg with his family. Camryn and I had to decline the trip because the day before we were supposed to leave, Camryn got a diagnosed with RSV (a respiratory virus). Everything turned out fine and she ended up having a very mild case but we had to stay close to home just in case she worsened. Anyway, I think Jacey had a great time hanging out with her daddy!

Jacey enjoys the picnic

Fun with daddy!
*DISCLAIMER: I can not be held accountable for the fact that my child is standing up on the sky lift in picture # 1, looks like an orphan in picture #4, and (the most disgusting of all) is attending a Bama game! This is what happens when daddy takes her out without mommy present!

Home with Camryn

Camryn and Jacey's baby doll taking a nap in their new home

First tub bath -- Camryn didn't like it very much!

Mommy's girls!

Two little tiger cubs!

Meeting new friends -- This is Camryn with baby Jack Fuqua

Being born is hard work!!!

And it just wouldn't be complete without a shirtless picture of daddy!!!

A funny thing happend on the way to the hospital...

Our family has shared alot with our friends, the Thomasons! We met at church and ended up pregnant with our first children at the same time. Our doctors are in the same practice and we even attended the same birthing class! Well, we ended up pregnant with our second children at the same time as well and decided to even share a baby shower. Ironically, we were also considering many of the same names before both our children were born. Well, on September 10th (neither baby's due date - both were early) both Camryn and Camille were born within hours of each other and right down the hall!

Tate, Party of 4!

Here we are -- Tate, Party of 4!!! (although it looks like party of 5 if you count that huge zit on my forehead)
Camryn Ashley Tate was born on 9/10 weighing 7 lbs 9 oz (Jacey weighed exactly the same!)

Camryn, meet your big sister! Jacey got to help with Camryn's first bath. I hope they will be best friends and will be doing each others hair for years to come!

Jacey not only got a new baby sister that day but she also got a brand new baby doll that she could take care of at home. She loved her new gift and decided it was necessary to bring her into the world properly. She put the doll under her shirt, directed all the family to go out of the room and into the waiting room while she "delivered" the baby. Then she let them all come back in and welcome her new addition...so funny!!

The proud (and exhausted) parents with their sweet baby girl -- God is good!

Getting Ready for Camryn

Mommy has been going through all my old baby clothes so that my new baby sister Camryn can wear them. I decided some of them might still fit. This is me modeling a size 6 months outfit!! How do I look??
This is mommy doing the traditional belly shot picture. She is 37 weeks pregnant (although the black shirt actually minimizes the true size a bit!)

I decided I wanted to get in on the belly shot action too and made my own sign to hold up. Then I requested that Daddy take my picture too!
Wont be much longer and my new baby sister will be here!!

New Room

Mrs. Robin and Mr. Rob came over and helped Daddy paint my new big girl bedroom. It is super cute!!! I absolutely LOVE the colors. I will post more pictures when Mommy gets everything put on the walls! Thanks again Mrs. Robin and Mr. Rob!!!!
