i am legally married!
Monday, February 6, 2012
i know this came a bit late. but i've been really busy! :D

so it's been more than 3 weeks(?) since i've become someone's wife.

a lot of people asked if there's any difference. but other than changing from Mr to Mrs and wearing a wedding band, honestly, nothing's changed.

it's kinda like we're legally but unofficially married. heh. cos the traditional wedding hasn't been done.

so here's some of the wedding details:

Wedding venue: Krish, 9 Rochester Park

love the colonial houses at rochester park. Our initial plan was 1 Rochester park but it was wayyyyy too expensive for us to afford. 9 Rochester was a lovely substitute and i believe it fits my theme better than 1 rochester! (:

Unfortunately as we're SUPER busy that morning and time just flew by, i didn't even have a chance to take photos of the decor we painfully made! ): ):

I think a lot of people didn't really take pics of the decor also. *sigh*

Make up Artist: Shirley Tan

Cakes/Pastries: Pats pastry

"Dessert bar": glassware from Ikea, tidbits from random places.

Decor:Self-made!! We spent almost $300 on the flowers! But we had a great variety as compared to if we hired a florist. But of course, it was VERY tiring.

The day before the wedding, we had to buy the flowers in bulk, scrap the thorns off the roses, make the bridesmaid bouquet (for my sis) and make the centrepieces etc.

Victorian cake pull charms: Charms from Haji lane random shops, Cake from Pats pastry.

Some events:

Dad walking me down the aisle.

exchanging vows.

my vows:

With all my love, I take you, Victor Wong, to my husband, my constant friend, my faithful partner in life. To live with you and laugh with you, to stand by your side and sleep in your arms. To be joy to your heart and food for your soul. To bring out the best in you, and for you, be the best that I can be.

I will cherish this union and love you more with each passing day.

Just as this ring I give you today is a circle without an end, my love for you is eternal. Just as it is made of pure compounds, my commitment to you will never fail. With this ring, I marry you.

I actually memorized everything but in the end I was so nervous I had to rely on my iphone. heh.

Signing the papers.

Kiss the bride.

The chaos when all my friends were picking their charms.

Photo Props: Self-made. With help of sis and vic!

The professional pics are not fully up yet. will update again (:
