Flatiron

Emmy decided she was tired of sitting around and wanted to do something over break so we tackled flatiron. It is a tough hike but she did awesome like she always does! I was glad she wanted to do it.

Christmas

We had told the kids they could wake us up at 6 but at 4:45 Emmy brought them in and turned on our light. They all found a spot in our room and we watched the Christmas story then headed down to open presents. I think they were all pretty happy with what they got. Emmy and Addy got air pods and tickets to Tim McGraw. TJ got a new amp he had been wanting for his guitar and new shoes. Evie got a new mp3 player and headphones and Rook got a hoverboard and Crunchlabs which he was super excited about.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was on Sunday. Emmy, TJ and Addy played in a youth orchestra that played prelude music and then accompanied the opening hymn and then Emmy accompanied another song on her violin. They all did a great job. Then we had Nana and Poppy and the Judds over for dinner. We took got our pajamas, naps and then got up and ate snacks, worked on a puzzle, watched a movie, went and looked at Christmas lights and got ready for Christmas.

 

Hancock Christmas Party

We drove up Friday to be there for the Hancock parties on Saturday. Grandma Hancock’s party was at noon. We ate and visited and did crafts and broke piñatas.

Saturday night was Grammy and Papa’s party. We ate lots of yummy food, played family feud, got presents from Grammy and Papa and enjoyed hanging out with our cousins. Shawn’s family wasn’t there and we missed them. Every year Papa has them line up oldest to youngest and picks a number and gives that grandchild a prize. TJ won the giant Reeses this year.

Temple lights

We made it to look at the Christmas lights at the temple. They were beautiful as always. 

Gingerbread houses

We let each of the kids invite someone over to make homemade pizzas and gingerbread houses. Emmy was busy but TJ invited Kenna, Addy invited Royce, and Evie invited Ruth. 

Zoolights

The kids had to perform at zoolights with their strolling strings class. It was kind of rainy so Jamie and most of the kids went home as soon as they were done but Addy and I stayed and Emmy stayed with Rafael.
