At the Croft in Downtown Phoenix they had an exhibit where they copied Michaelangelo's painting from inside the Sistine Chapel and had an exhibit with them. After having gone to the Sistine Chapel, it was fun to get to see the paintings up close. It was a fun date with Jamie.
We had Monday off of school for MLK day so we took a trip to the zoo. It was nice to get outside even if we did have to wear masks.
We have been needing new carpet in our family room for quite awhile. We ordered some and they told us it would be ready for a few weeks so we were expecting it the end of January or the beginning of February. But they called us on the 11th and asked us if we could be ready the next day. It was a little crazy because Grammy was staying with us while Poppa was in the hospital but we got it done and are super happy with it.
With the turning of the new year, Addy will turn 12 this year and gets to go to the temple. TJ was able to go with us the first time she went. And since we had some extra appointments, we invited Orren and Emmett to come with us. It is so fun to be in the temple with your kids. I'm so proud of the young woman she is becoming and her desire to do good.
The little new year came to visit us once again as he rang in 2021. I can't say we were sad to see 2020 go. We will forever remember it as the year of Covid. Hopefully this year will not just be a continuation of the previous.
