We weren't as early this year getting our Christmas tree up but we finally got it done. Addy put most of the lights on and then we all helped decorate it. We need some new decorations but these are the ones we bought right after we got married. Every year we break a few more and it get more sparse. We did end up putting the kids ornaments on it later.
Since we didn't get to go to Taylor for Thanksgiving because Grammy had Covid, I made us an appointment to visit Santa. It was a little different this year with face masks and social distancing but it's always good to let the big guy know what you want for Christmas.
Emmy played juniors ball with GSLL and Addy played majors. Jamie helped coach Emmy's team. He offered to help coach Addy's but they already had enough help. There were only 2 teams in the juniors league so they played the same team every game. Emmy's team won every game and won the championship. She played centerfield and catcher. It was just a really fun group of girls and Emmy enjoyed playing with them. Addy didn't get as much playing time as she would have liked but she got the chance to pitch and did a great job and their team won championship as well. So it was a good season.
Evie really wanted to have a party for her birthday. Emmy and Addy volunteered to help with it. They set up all sorts of games outside and Evie and her friends had a great time. Then we came inside to make earrings, decorate cupcakes and open presents. It was an evening full of fun and giggles. At nine Evie is awesome at gymnastics, diving, and volleyball. She is a great student and a great big sister to Rook. She is learning how to play the piano. Evie is kind and generous and thinks about others before she does herself. We are so glad she is part of our family. Happy Birthday Evie! We love you!
